hey i've got the annoying bug where i cant log back in after visiting the forums so I thought I would post something I've been thinking about for a bit- does anyone else like. I don't know how to describe it other than things on the site you consider good luck / a sign of good luck ?
So for example, for me its always been seeing the eggs of pokemon in a pair right next to each other in the shelter is really good luck- Plusle and Minun, Solrock and Lunatone, Illumise and Volbeat, etc.
and on honey days, if the honey loads what you're hunting into a straight or straight enough line thats also a good luck sign, imo.
i know it's silly and doesn't actually mean anything, but I think it's fun regardless ^^
Having a long hunt is, for me, a sign of good luck.
Sounds weird, but like, whenever I have a long hunt, say something above 800+, makes me feel as if I have a plus shiny chance in my other hunts.
Like you said, it's probably not true and just my mind playing tricks on me, but I've always felt that way :'D
I don't have superstitions and I think they're a bad things you shouldn't invite in your life.
However when there's a big batch of eggs in the daycare because of a strong multiplier, I like to take an egg or eggs that are in specific positions, like the one in the centre, or the corners.
Sometimes it feels to me like shinies are more common during events! Logically, I know that's just a result of being more active and hatching more eggs, which increases the likelihood I'll see a shiny, but it definitely makes events feel more likely.
For me, whenever I use honey at the shelter I have to go for the eggs that are by themselves. Something in me just says that the loner eggs need extra love and might have increased shiny odds. I don't think it's ever proven true, but I pick them first every time!
EDIT: I hatched an egg seconds after this and it was a shiny?! New superstition: Talking about shinies brings them to me!
