Currently at 744 for Joltik, still on going. Started on March 15th, so exactly two months today. xD

Update: That particular hunt ended up lasting 1096 eggs.

However, I just beat my own record today. I hatched a Shiny Mawile after 1478 eggs.
I'm not sure if I feel happy or at some sort of loss after two and a half months of diligent work. lol

I've been hunting for a shiny Past Misdreavus since September 2011, with only seventeen eggs hatched thus far... so it's definitely my longest, even if it has one of the fewest egg counts.
I might have the worst luck in the history of novelty breeding.

I tend to measure time by eggs hatched because dates get messed up when you go on hiatus. I would also put personal hunts on the back burner for SWSH so personal hunts are kind of distorted timewise.

Greatest number of eggs for an ongoing hunt - personal (SWSH Sept. 13, 2012)
Dratini - 400 - I will have a pink noodle if it kills me

Longest time for an ongoing hunt - personal
Shinx - since September 9, 2012 - only 75 eggs as it got put on the back burner for Dratini and Absol SWSH which became personal

Greatest number of eggs hatched for a complete hunt - SHWH
Rufflet - 604 eggs

Greatest number of eggs hatched for a complete hunt - personal
Hoppip - 448 eggs

Longest time for a complete hunt - personal
Relicanth - 562 days

Due to two multi-year absences, my longest shiny hunt is the (ongoing) hunt for a shiny Absol, started April of 2012.

[EDIT] And I FINISHED IT!

Egg 244, after exactly 1600 days. My beautiful girl, named after the Greek prophetess cursed by Apollo. Ah, she's so perfect~ ^-^

So far my longest shiny hunt was this months Anorith SWSH with 257 eggs hatched.
Though this was only the second shiny hunt I finished, since I joined the site exactly 1 month ago. The first one was a very lucky Gothita hunt with only 53 eggs.
ed.: 3 minutes later I finshed my Budew shiny hunt with 133 eggs happy.gifhappy.gif

I just finished a hunt for shiny Vulpix that lasted four years and eleven months with 658 eggs hatched. Probably would've ended a long time ago had I not taken such a long break from the site though.... :P

Just finished my Tyrunt shiny hunt (yes, from the SWSH way back when) after 2,428 eggs in 628 days (about 1.75 years!) Too bad I couldn't reach 2,500, but I'm just relieved to be done. It took so long that I already got 5 Stone Shards!

The longest one would be my shiny Pichu and Eevee hunt, switching between them for no reason at all.
I think I've started my Eevee hunt in ... June (?) but my Pichu hunt started in August, hoping it won't last that long happy.gif

My shiny hunt with the most eggs is Chimchar (SWSH) at 1,168.

My shiny hunt that took the longest, I believe, is Solosis at 557 days or roughly 1.5 years. I'm too lazy to go back and check every single one.

I have already posted in this thread, but here are my new records..

Most egg hatched: shiny Seadra, 1381 eggs. Same as before. I still don't have anything even close to this (luckily!)

This Pokémon was egg #1381 in D E A N 's 325-day site-wide
shiny hunt started on November 16th, 2011.
When I sort my PokeDex with Most Obtained (Egg) this is my top 10:
  1. Horse 1500 eggs: 3 shinies (1381 eggs to get one shiny, 119 eggs to get two shinies)
  2. Pichu 1490 eggs: 9 shinies (shiny ratio 1:161)
  3. Charmander 1299 eggs: 3 shinies (ratio 1:433)
  4. Sandshrew 1254 eggs: 2 shinies (ratio 1:627)
  5. Eevee 1068 eggs: 9 shinies (ratio 1:119)
  6. Weedle 994 eggs: 1 shiny (this one is the closest with 387 eggs less than Seadra)
  7. Chikorita 909 eggs: 1 shiny
  8. Numel 897 eggs: 1 shiny
  9. Zorua 877 eggs: 2 shinies (ratio 1:438)
  10. Luvdics 877 eggs: 1 shiny

Longest hunt in terms of days: shiny Festive Makuhita, 3 years and 24 days.
To be fair I did have a break between Oct. 2014 - May 2015 (not 100% sure about the months, took this info out of my shine recorder). And I'm fairly sure that there was another break too, but it was only like month or three.

This Pokémon was egg #424 in D E A N 's 1119-day shiny hunt
started on January 8th, 2013.

Mudkip is my longest hunt atm, 902 eggs hatched at his completion
Squirtle might potentially beat him, currently at 847...... more than BOTH shiny Charmanders, and my Bulbasaur combined. Oh well, I need that achievement for going over 1000 anyways
