[Kishk]

Kishk sighed as he walked out into the streets of Noverus, along with his two Rebel mission squad members. Now that he was finally out on his first mission, he felt that he needed to prove himself, especially when the other two squad members were much older than him.

Kishk looked down at the Ball Belt around his waist, and checked that all four of his Pokemon were there.

Alright guys... first time out... do your best!, thought Kishk, patting his Pokeballs.

He looked up and noticed that Reeves and Paul were waiting for him. Kishk felt a little foolish in front of them in his dark cape, but then he snapped back to reality and remembered the mission they were assigned: Gather some intel on the male Pokemon trainer that had been disrupting Rebel plans, then find and confront him, bringing an end to his disruptions.

"So... where should we start looking first?" asked Kishk, running his hand through his hair and tightening the strap on his backpack.

Paul was beside beside a large man named Daniel and a boy who was taller than him named Kishk. They were both taller than him and had much darker hair so he felt kind of like an outcast. None of them had said anything yet as they walked through the streets. He was happy about it though, he hated talking no matter how short of an answer he had to give to people. Though had just joined the Rebellion and was excited to be on his first mission. I just wish this had something to do with stopping Magma. he thought to himself as he reached up to his shoulder and pet Cyndaquil. He looked around and noticed Kishk wasn't by them anymore and stopped to turn around. Sure enough there he was checking to see if his Pokeballs were on his belt.

"Hurry up!" He yelled over to him. "I don't want this to take all day."

Kishk ran up to them saying, "So... where should we start looking first?"

Paul looked up at Daniel who towered over him hoping he would reply so that Paul wouldn't have to.

"Right, well... Intel said he had been hanging around the Restaurant sector and challenging pretty much anyone to a battle, so I suggest we look there first." Daniel answered.

The group started moving towards the Restaurant sector, each keeping a look out for the unknown male.

"Hmm... Why would a random kid start challenging people to battles in the Restaurant sector?" Daniel thought to himself.

His train of thoughts were interrupted when he spotted some Aqua Grunts hurrying away from the Shopping sector.

"Stay back lads. We don't want to be spotted." Daniel said to his team mates holding his arms out to block them.

[Kishk]

Kishk stopped walking as Reeves threw out his arms. He glanced up ahead and saw the group of Aqua Grunts turn a corner and disappear from sight. They waited, expecting someone to come up at any moment, giving chase to the Aqua's. Several minutes passed and there was still no sign of anyone, so they decided to get moving again, and head towards the direction where the Aqua Grunts had come from.

"Come on guys, hurry up!" said Kishk, taking the lead and sprinting up the empty street.

Suddenly, one of the street exits on his right caught his eye. Kishk stopped suddenly, making him skid on the concrete sidewalk and fall face-flat on the ground.

"Agh... how the-?" Kishk looked down at his feet and saw that the sidewalk and street were covered in a thin layer of soot and ashes. He looked up the street and the sight that met his eyes made him shiver with fear.

A few crashed cars were burning intensely, and the street was dotted with smoking-hot craters. Scorch marks lined the outer walls of buildings and a fallen light post was throwing sparks up into the air.

"Who could've.....?" Kishk mumbled to himself. He turned around and saw Reeves and Paul, standing behind him, looking dumbstruck. "W-what... w-what d'you guys think...?"

"Dammit... I wish you wouldn't run off like that..." Daniel said when he caught up to Kishk. His annoyance at Kishk for running off soon turned into shock as he saw the carnage that lay in front. "Good god... What happened here??"

Daniel wandered around the place making sure there were no hurt people or pokemon. He walked past some burning cars wishing he had a water type with him, when he saw some footprints in the soot covering the ground.

"Lads? I think I may have found something..." he said crouching close to the ground. He pulled out one of the pokedexes he took from the Aqua warehouse in his last mission and scanned through the 'dex trying to identify the footprint. After what seemed like an eternity, the pokedex found a match.

"This carnage was caused by a pretty strong fire type and here's what it looks to be..." Daniel said showing his team mates the pokedex. It was stopped on Ninetales.

Daniel couldn't figure out why anyone would cause such devastation to an area full of civilians...

[Kishk]

Kishk stared at the Pokedex, dumbstruck. Slowly, he pulled out a Pokeball containing his Totodile, and let him out.

"H-h-here... Tot-Totodile... use... W-Water Gun..." said Kishk, his hand trembling as Totodile came out of the Pokeball.

Once all the flames had been extinguished, Totodile returned to his Pokeball, leaving an awkward silence between the them. Kishk sat down on the ground, running his hands through his black hair.

"D'you guys think this could have anything to do with that mysterious Trainer?" he asked, balling his hands into fists to stop his trembling.

When Paul came around the corner ofter Daniel and saw the wreckage, he just stood tehre staring completely tuning everything around him out. When Kishk's Totodile put out the fires with it's Water Gun, Paul finally came to his senses.

"D'you guys think this could have anything to do with that mysterious Trainer?" Kishk asked trembling.

"I don't know, but who ever it is we need to stop them before they do more damage." Paul said in an angry tone. He looked around at the footprints. "You guys come here, these footprints don't seem to be running like the others. They must be the footprints to who ever did this." Paul looked forward at the way they go. "And it looks like soot stuck to his shoes so we should have no problem finding him."

"And i've got the perfect tracker." Daniel said, pulling a pokeball from his pocket. "Come on Max, I need your help."

Daniel threw a pokeball into the air and out came his Poochyena, Max.

"Right Max, I need you to find out where whoever made these footprints went. Use Odour Sleuth and start tracking!"

Almost immediately Max shot off to the left and into the darkness, followed closely by Daniel, Kishk and Paul.

[Kishk]

After running after Max for what seemed like ages, but registered on Kishk's watch as 20 minutes, the Poochyena stopped in front of a large warehouse. The front entrance was heavily barricaded, and the windows were firmly shut and boarded up.

"I guess this is the place. Can you guys see any way in?"

Before they could open their mouths to answer, Kishk started looking for a crowbar or anything that would help him break off the boards on the windows. Seeing none, he chose a different approach at things, and opened a Pokeball, letting out his Growlithe.

"Growlithe, focus your Ember on the planks of that window!" he said, pointing at a window farther to their right, which seemed to be less protected.

Little by little, the stream of flame coming out of the Growlithe's mouth burned completely through the planks. Unfortunately, the fire started to catch around the wooden window frame, so before the fire could spread anymore, do some damage, and warn the one who had caused so much destruction on that street of their presence, he switched his Growlithe out for his Totodile, whose powerful Water Gun quickly put out the fire.

"Good job you two!" he said, and returned Totodile to his Pokeball.

Looking back at Reeves and Paul, Kishk climbed in through the window and landed on the dusty floor of the warehouse. The warehouse was pitch black, except for the strip of light coming in through the window. Kishk took a few steps forward, and realized that he would need some source of light to keep on going.

He turned around and whispered to the other two, who were still climbing up the window.

"Hey, can you guys make something to light the way?"

Daniel climbed in the window after Kishk and Paul. When he hit the ground he set his bag down and pulled out the torch he carried with him.

"This'll do." Daniel said handing the torch to Kishk. Kishk turned the torch on and used it to scan the area they were in.

"Seems rather deserted... But Max's nose never fails, so whoever caused the carnage must be here somewhere..." Daniel said.

[Kishk]

Suddenly, Kishk noticed a door that led to another section of the warehouse. He took a quick peek in, and shut the door.

"Alright, there's another room to this warehouse, and it looks pretty big, so I think we should split up to check that one." he said, jerking his thumb in the direction of the door.

Kishk took out two Pokeballs from his belt, and out came his Pidgey and his Poochyena.

"I'll take my Poochyena to try to find the one responsible for the destruction, and we can use my Pidgey to relay information to each other." he said, walking towards the door. "Agreed?"

[ShinyTyphlosion]

Paul was looking into the blackness in the warehouse.

No point in looking the same way to other people are. He thought to himself. He pet Cyndaquil, "Can you light up your back, please?" Cyndaquil nodded and jumped off his shoulder.

"QUIIIIIIIIL!" Cyndaquil seemed to yell to get his fire blazing. The red spots on his back slowly got brighter till large orange flames erupted from it's back.

"Thanks Cyndaquil." Paul told it as he pet his head. He looked over at Deniel and Kishk and said, "I'm gonna go this way. Maybe we should just meet back up here later?"

[Kishk]

Kishk nodded at Paul to show his confirmation.

"But if any of you find the one responsible for the destruction in that street, use one of your Pokemon to warn the others who aren't aware of his presence. If anyone is capable of causing that much destruction with a single Pokemon, we're gonna need to team up to bring him to justice."

Kishk turned now to his Poochyena, patting his head.

"Alright Poochyena... you ready? Let's go!" he whispered. Getting up, his Pidgey perched on his shoulder, flexing her wings.

"See you guys soon..." Kishk moved away into the other room. "Hopefully..." he added in an undertone.

[ShinyTyphlosion]

Paul and Cyndaquil were walking around the warehouse. "Where do you think he is, Cyndaquil?" he asked Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil turned around towards Paul, but he was looking past him. Paul turned around to see what Cyndaquil was looking at. It was a wild Rattata peeking out from a hole in the wall. Then Cyndaquil darted off at the Rattata and the wild Pokemon ran back inside the hole with Cyndaquil chasing it. Paul wasn't sure if Cyndaquil wan't to ask it if the person was here or if he just wanted to play, but he did know that he wouldn't be able to find his way without light.

"Cyndaquil come back!" Paul said running over to the hole where the glow of Cyndaquil's flame grew dimmer and dimmer.

Daniel watched as Kishk and Paul headed away from him. He had a strange feeling that something was gonna happen.

"I'm probably just imagining things..." Daniel thought to himself.

"Come on Max, we're going hunting..." Daniel threw Max's pokeball into the air and watched as the Poochyena materialised in front of him.

"Right, our team mates have gone left and right respectively so we are going forward. So let's go, Max." Daniel said to his Poochyena.

They began walking forward keeping as sharp an eye out as they could, which was rather hard because of the darkness of the warehouse. Nothing in the warehouse seemed out of the ordinary but Daniel knew from experience that anything can be hiding in the dark.

Paul sat down against the wall with the hole in it where Cyndaquil had gone in. It had been a few minutes since Cyndaquil had run off. Paul just sat there quietly hoping he would be able to hear someone before they found him. Then he felt something bump into him and jumped.

"Who's there?" He asked hoping it was just his imagination as he stood up.

"Ee?" He heard a Pokemon cry.

"Come here, you've probably been stuck in here for a while huh? Don't worry, I've got some food you can have." Paul reached into his pocket and grabbed some Pokemon food. He crouched down and held it out to the Pokemon hoping it would smell it and eat it. Then he felt a slight tickle on his hand as a tounge licked up the food. Before he knew it, the food was all gone. "Wow, your a hungry little guy aren't you? Don't worry, I've got some more food." Paul reached into his pocket and grabbed some more food and held it out to the Pokemon.

Daniel and Max walked slowly through the rows of boxes lining the warehouse, when all of a sudden they heard a noise to the left of them.

"Max, Tackle!" Daniel whispered.

Max charged at the source of the noise at full force. An "Oof!" from where the noise had originated told Daniel that Max had hit his target. Moving quickly Daniel spotted a burly looking teenager sprawled on the ground with Max behind him growling.

"Stay there or he'll bite you. Got it?" Daniel commanded the teenager. Daniel then whistled loudly hoping his team mates would hear him.

When the Pokemon didn't eat anymore, Paul sat back down against the wall and the wild Pokemon climbed on his lap. Paul then noticed that the Pokemon was very small.

"Wow, you must not eat much at all in here..." Paul said quietly petting the Pokemon's soft fur as it fell asleep.

A few more minutes had passed before he heard someone whistle. The Pokemon was still sleeping so Paul picked it up as he got up and carried it to go after the whistle hoping Cyndaquil heard it to and would go after it too. Paul walked lightly and carefully so he wouldn't drop the Pokemon. Then he saw a glow slowly get brighter behind him and turned around to see Cyndaquil.

"Hey, where'd you run off to?" He asked it as it got closer. "Now come on, we need to go find who whistled."

As Cyndaquil and Paul walked towards the spot where the whistling came from, he looked down at the Pokemon he was carrying, it was a small Eevee. It wasn't long before they found Daniel.

"Hey, sorry I took a bit, I couldn't see where I was going for a bit." He told him.

[Kishk]

Kishk had been climbing a pile of boxes, with his Pidgey flying above him and his Poochyena guarding below, when he heard someone whistle. It was such a sudden and distinct sound in the dark and quiet warehouse, that Kishk fell off the boxes, landing with his right foot in a weird angle. The moment his foot made contact with the ground, a sickening crunch came from his ankle, and a horrible pain shot upwards through his leg.

Kishk's eyes watered as he struggled to keep his balance and limp, dragging his now useless right foot behind him.

"P-Pidgey... fly ahead and look for the source of that whistle... Poochyena, come with me." said Kishk, through clenched teeth. As the Pidgey flew off, Kishk had a horrible feeling in his gut, a feeling that something extremely wrong was about.

His fears were slowly confirmed, as a Vulpix came out of the darkness, tackling his Poochyena into a large wooden crate. The wood cracked and split from the force of the blow, and Kishk knew that he had to withdraw Poochyena the moment he let out a desperate yelp of pain.

"Poochyena! RETURN!" Kishk screamed at the top of his lungs, holding out Poochyena's Pokeball. Once Poochyena was safely inside his Pokeball, Kishk's pity for the Pokemon vanished instantly, and was replaced with a wave of hatred for that Vulpix.

"TOTODILE! TEACH THIS PATHETIC SNEAK A LESSON IN COMBAT!" he shouted, throwing Totodile's Pokeball furiously into the air.

Totodile materialized in front of him, his face set, knowing that something was very wrong, by the sound of his Trainer's voice.

"TOTODILE, DODGE!" Kishk screamed, as the Vulpix attempted to tackle Totodile. Totodile dodged just in time, making the Vulpix crash into a cardboard box. "QUICK! WATER GUN!" Following his Trainer's command, the Totodile let out a powerful jet of Water Gun at the Vulpix, pinning it against the box from the water pressure.

"NOW, USE BITE WHILE IT'S STILL RECOVERING! THEN FOLLOW IT UP BY ANOTHER WATER GUN!"

The Totodile rushed at the Vulpix at full speed, and bit down hard around its neck, making small beads of blood appear above the Pokemon's skin. Totodile continued to bite down, then swung the Vulpix out of his mouth and against a wall. Jumping back, Totodile released yet another powerful jet of Water Gun at the Vulpix.

"Hehehe..." A maniacal laughter issued from Kishk's mouth. "That should take care of it. No way it could stand a combo like that."

No sooner had Kishk said this, than the Vulpix got up quickly and opened its mouth wide, which began to glow and form a ball of fire.

"TOTODILE! WATER GUN!"

"No worries Paul. I believe this would be our culprit. Considering he's the only one here apart from us." Daniel said to Paul, Daniel looked over to Paul and saw he had an Eevee in his arms.

"Nice Eevee... Where did you find it?" Daniel asked. However before Paul could reply shouts started coming from a little way behind them, along with the sound of splintering wood.

"Uh-Oh... Sounds like Kishk may have knocked into a box..." Daniel said shaking his head. "Hey Paul do you think you could go and check out what's going on with Kishk? I'll keep an eye on this guy."
