I've decided I'm going to breed as many novelties as I can and release them all on Christmas Eve as a sort of Christmas present to the site. I have all of the breedable novelties, is there any particular novelty you really want? Please post here so I know what would be most wanted. I have quite a few of each of the duck novelty pokes already

Though I'm not wanting for Novelties myself, a lot of people are clamoring for both Heart Eevee [too tricky to find] and the Psyduck novelties.

Heart Eevee? I never saw that and it didn't come up in my pokedex either. I've never seen it. Do you have a link to someone who has one? Now I'm curious!

Edit: Apparently I had one and never noticed...... It's in my dex but not my PC. Now I'll have to keep an eye out for it. It's like Bidofo?

Yeah. Not that difficult to find at first if there's any, but good luck telling them apart once you have the dex entry.

Just mouse over an Eevee egg and if it says "Mystery Egg", then it's a Heart Eevee. They're hard to find, though. I didn't know about them until I just randomly grabbed one.

Also, does anyone know what the novelty is that the new Empty Cup goes to? There's also some Pokemon (novelty, I think) that has a PC icon that looks like maybe a Mimikyu without its costume?

It's a pain to breed them without novelty power, and i wager, nightmare to shiny hunt. Unlike Bidofo, Heart Eevee's egg is simply named Eevee, rather than Eevee (Heart).
I might be wrong about this, but it seems that way.

I'm trying to decide if I want to drop a shiny or two along with the novelties. I have a few duplicates.

If we're having an exchange you might want to keep a shiny to give away for that.

That's what I was thinking, but I have a few dupes. I was thinking maybe I'd drop Gulpin and Zygarde Cell and use Musharna or Togekiss for the exchange.

This is a really great idea!

I've never actually been on the site for an Exchange, and I'm not completely sure what they are for, or if I'll even choose to participate. The novelties I have been struggling to get my hands on include the Ditto Book, Dreident, and the Zygarde Cells too.

I think you're doing a great thing but releasing all these novelties for Christmas, many users will be thankful!

If I get any breeding pairs who do decide to breed novelty eggs, I'll be sure to release them too.

The exchanges are fun. Basically, you put a pokemon in and it turns into an egg and goes to someone else and get back an egg of equivalent rarity (put in a shiny, get a shiny. Put in a non-summon legend, get one, put a summoned legend, get a summoned legend, novelty for novelty, ect.)
They're a really fun way to gift a poke with Good IVs or a Shiny or a hard to find legendary to others, and get one yourself. I tend to keep at least 1 shiny dupe on hand for if they ever do them.


I didn't think about evolved novelties like Misquaza, Ditto book, or Dreident..... I do have an awful lot of extra evolution items. Why not, I'll add 'em to my dump. Good call out!

I'm not sure about Silvally, seems like a waste considering so many people are breeding them at the moment (from what I've seen). It's all down to personal choice, I'm pretty excited to see what turns up, also, thank you for the Exchange explanation! My friend is definitely keen on the idea and will be trading in his shiny Lugia, Manaphy, Sudowoodo and Hypno when it begins!

Nice! I didn't mean plain sivallys so much as the ones evolved with spare memories :p

Personally I'm trying to complete the Bidofo line. Also Snowman Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie are ones I still need, but I don't know if they're breedable.

They're not, but I have several ready to be evolved into snowmen as soon as the site weather cooperates. I can definitely drop bidofos too. I even picked up a heart eevee so there'll be at least one of them dropped as well!
