The 1 person actively breeding Chingling floats my boat! Thank you so much, DreaRocks! I'd put my own pair into the Daycare, but over 100 people on the site are shiny hunting Pachirisu currently and there's not a whole lot of breeders for the 'lil squirrel besides me.
EDIT: make that "nearly 250 people on this website are shiny hunting for a pink squirrel", oh geez This post has been edited by AregularFrankiefan: Dec 29 2018, 05:02 AM -------------------- |

Hatched an almost perfect Pichu. Timid, IV's are 177, the highest base I've ever had. With vitamins, it would be 3 IV's away from being flawless.
Going to raise this one for battling, and see how it will fare. This post has been edited by Gigadyne: Jan 1 2019, 04:25 AM -------------------- |

When you're scouting around at the end of a hard day's hatching and you run into an Eevee Heart Mystery Egg. Yay!

Thanks Equitia for donating Poipole Eggs! I didn't have the Egg Dex entry yet. Hopefully this hatches with good IV's.

Taking some serious risks with summoning two legendaries at point of almost 800 eggs at lab, and it paying off.

Consecutive things I sent to the Underground brought back a Green Orb, then a Red Orb. Think I'll hold on to both of those for a while, I have way too many things on my Shine Recorder right now. Also it's good to build up a stockpile.

Of all Trinkets, I just got a Shiny Swablu Doll. Kinda fitting for the SWSH. I approve.

Journey of the Mind was really cute. It reminded me of when I would take walks with my mom as a kid, and she'd point out the "Yanmas" and "Politoeds" and other interesting wild Pokemon.

Finished my 5th DOTW run, completed a 5th shiny novelty hunt and got the Undaunted achievement, and popped a shiny Zygarde cell on egg 183. I am SO close to filling that cube!

Well, I did it. 3,000 battle subway wins complete, Master Commuter unlocked.
Here is the team that I used for the vast, overwhelming majority of said battles: @Choice Specs The leader, the ace. She's got a crazy damage output with the specs and excellent natural speed, her only real threats were dark types, and some tankier ghost types. otherwise she'd routinely take down two to all six of the other teeam. Her nature wasn't much help at all, but she still got her work done. Unfortunately she was my only special attacker, so once she was gone we'd occasionally run into problems with defense tanks. @Choice Scarf Secondary damage. Such a great pokemon adopted straight from the safari zone, nice IVs and a speed boosted nature. That paired with the scarf made the all-too-common dragon type enemies no problem at all, providing she wasn't switched into an attack. As dragon resists a fair few common types and does neutral damage to most others, she could really put in the damage as well with such a nice natural attack. @Choice Band Switch support. My go-to to relieve Mega Alakazam of her weaknesses as the subway AI seems to read your first party member and put in someone strong against them before the battle starts. He didn't actually have his choice band until around battle 2,500, but after that he became a fantastic sweeper. Perfect Adamant nature and okay IVs, plus enough tankiness to survive a neutral or even strong hit against him and really get the damage in. @Choice Scarf Mid-battle carrier. Naturally high attack plus boosted nature, usually came in halfway through a battle if the main attackers had already gone down. Tanky enough to survive long enough to get a knockout or two even without her scarf; with her scarf after around battle 1,000 she could even out-speed all but the very fastest of mons. Dangerous type matchups showed up pretty often, but she was definitely my designated fairy killer. @Choice Band Clean up. Natural high speed + speed boosted nature = easy choice for the choice band, especially considering such a low attack IV. My go-to if I absolutely needed to be faster than the opponent, but he really couldn't tank well at all so he'd go down pretty fast too. Perfect for switching in after a faint to take down the rest of the enemy's health and maybe get in a knockout or two afterwards. @Leftovers The last resort. Trying to lead off with her almost never worked out as a fire type would instantly switch in and we'd be at a decent disadvantage. Providing there were no fire types around though, once she got to her third swords dance she could sweep pretty much anything even with a bad nature for attack. Setting up could be a little dangerous though as fighting types/some neutral types could take off 1/3 of her health without a crit, but most times she'd come in at the last second and win an otherwise sketchy battle. Leftovers increased her survivability by a lot, especially since she's so slow. General thoughts: Attacks I used for all my team members: Weak STAB - Weak STAB 2 or Strong STAB - Attack/Special Attack Booster - Rest On choice item holding mons the last two never got used, they were really only there for filler and consistency. Using monotypre mons for the strong attacks is incredibly beneficial for the extra power, plus when the 3 PP is used up the choice items unlock, allowing you to use the weaker move without switching. These battle felt incredibly slow and majorly daunting at first. If only I had realized that turning off battle animations increased my battles per hour by almost three times before battle 2,000. After that I could average just under 100 wins per hour if I spam clicked the attacks. This did lead to more mistakes and losses, but I wasn't rally going for high streaks. Even so I still averaged around 50-100 wins before running into a team I messed up on and lost too. My longest streak was 349, and I got a couple more 200+ streaks as well. I'm sure I could have gotten my max streak higher if I had paid attention and been more careful, but I didn't like to switch very much. Switching too often was definitely a bad idea too, but speed was my main goal here. Honorable mentions: These three did very few battle subway battles, but they and the six above were pretty much all I needed to beat all the Elite 4 and Champion NPCs. I had definitely thought I'd have mega evolved Manectric by now, but even still she did exactly what I needed her to. Milotic was a decent tank, and Comfey is a highly underrated fairy type especially with choice specs. I'm sorry if this was long and rambling, I'm just really happy to have this achievement out of the way, and I wanted to do the grind justice now that it's over. Plus, after 3,000 battles with the same mons I kinda feel a connection with them as silly as that sounds. Hopefully this helps anyone who is as intimidated by the battle subway as I was! Completing achievements without even working towards them or knowing they were there!
I was lucky enough to complete the 'Master Collector' achievement without even realising, I wondered where those 30 prize points came from.. |
