Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg. There have been about 3k users online daily and there are only 1,750 eggs going out, so that at least gives you a little more than a 50% chance at getting something.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• Feb 2nd: Tapu Koko - Winner: x Sam - 350 eggs
• Feb 3rd: Suicune - Winner: Tulaash - 350 eggs
• Feb 4th: Dialga - Winner: Jalakins - 350 eggs
• Feb 5th: Remorage - 350 eggs
• Feb 6th: Hoopa - 350 eggs

Didn't hatch my 3rd shiny for the SWSH but at least I finished my shiny hunts. I wasn't expecting to get another shiny so I'm happy with my progress. The Prize Points for finishing definitely helped.

I'm going to definitely try for a Tapu Koko. I'm not overly picky with what I get, all the choices are nice. If I could get a shiny one I'd be all over it.

Oh, February. It's another candy month. I'm not big into Valentine's Day, but hey, it's an excuse to eat good chocolate. (Or bad chocolate, if you prefer that.)

I'll try for Suicune, but knowing me, I'll forget to leave a spot open or will leave one open on a different day. Having a shiny Dialga again would be nice, too. >_>

Didn't get my SWSH shiny =( Sad because it was my first time participating in SWSH.
I think I got around 25 prize points though, I guess that's cool (I really wanted that little blue owl after I picked the wrong Pokemon...I actually wanted to hunt Litten...)
Wonder what the big prize is...

Think I'm gonna try and go for the Egg Distribution on the 3rd =) I'd love a Suicune (sad I missed Raiku last month)

I ended up with 5 hatched shinies for SWSH even though Azurite never led at all during the SWSH

Happy Early Birthday, GPX+!

I surprised myself with being able to not only participate in the SWSHy, but I actually managed to nab a shiny owl. So I guess I'll be getting a Rotom Dex as well. Not sure what to make of that as I don't understand how it'll interact with GPX... but then again... I'm also not a fan of it in the actual game. My Rotom is too dumb to show me precisely where I am (more times than not) and just likes to keep telling me where it thinks I need to go. LOL Hm. Maybe the GPX RD will offer hints or clues about shinies? Legendaries? Hmm. It might be more useful here then in the game. *snicker*

Tapu Koko!?! Woah! Definitely going to play hard to be considered and hope to get that first Pokemon. Felt bad that I missed it on its release day and never dreamed it would be up for grabs this first month. I'll have to take another look if I don't secure it this month to see what other days to vie for. So, thanks, x Sam, for requesting it. Nice one!!

Happy February everyone!

I might go for Suicune this time. I'm hoping to get some better luck this time around!

I hatched five shinies for the SWSH, getting the last two I needed on Sunday. I already used my Rotom Dex as well. Cute little fellow.

This past day has been rather bothersome. My paternal grandfather suffered a mild stroke on Monday night. He's doing fine though and there hasn't been that much damage, but it'll take time to recover. I was worried about that the whole day until my dad filled me in on everything. So I'm hoping he'll get better quick.

Glad to hear that your grandfather is doing ok and on the mend, Running On Ice. I'm sure that must've been scary. Hopefully he can make a full recovery though and not need any intervention (by surgery means).

Hatched five shinies? Wow! Kudos! And we can use the Rotom Dex now? I noticed it was an evolution item so I'm thinking I know (based on its name) which Pokemon it works for. I'll have to look into that.

I really hope that I'll remember the egg distribution tomorrow. I've missed it for so many months in a row already
My order for which egg I wish the most is: Tapu Koko, Hoopa, Remorage and Dialga. Not interested in Suicune since it's the only shiny legendary I have So I might keep a spot open on 2nd, 5th and 6th (if I only remember !!).

Also thinking about starting a shiny Rotom hunt, but I kinda hope that we would choose Rotom for March's SWSH.

finally completed Sun, transferring everything over to it now so I can get my ass kicked in the Battle Tree. Also gonna fuck around in Emerald for ages to get a Shiny Rayquaza.

Oh, I didn't think they'll hand out Tapu Koko so quickly after its release. Definitely keeping my party open tomorrow.

I got two Rotom Dexes from the Prize Shop, one for a normal one and one for a Shiny one. This might even give me the motivation to Shiny Hunt Rotom after I finish my Litten hunt!

I've gone for the Hidden Ruins first, mostly because I haven't obtained all the Pokemon from the exploration. I've only gotten Regice from it so far. Might pick up Registeel this time. I'll also do Terminus Cave again, just in case you can get Zygarde in different forms (hoping for my green doggo here).

I'm definitely going for Tapu Koko tomorrow, don't have it yet. If I miss that, then Hoopa because I need a second for my living dex. Also now need another Rotom for the Rotom Dex

I have one more month of freedom before I go back to uni. Hopefully work will keep me on full time hours until then, for the extra money. But given that I work at a high school, and the new school year started today for the students, today and last week have been super hectic and stressful, so I almost don't want to go to work haha. Hopefully it should calm down by the end of next week.

And the 1st of February marks the 1st birthday of my lovebird, Zazu, who I raised since she was 2 weeks old A few people thought I was weird celebrating my bird's birthday and buying her a present. I guess I just love to spoil my pets ^^"

I think I will go after Regigigas and one of the Regis for the explorations this month, since I've already got the others that are up. Not sure what to go for for the distributions. Maybe another Tapu Koko.

I'm hoping to go through and do some of the old SWSH hunts that I missed so that I can get those entries out of the way, too. Anyone else have little goals for GPX?

I have shiny hunt related goals mainly. Here are the ones I'm currently working.
- All the original form of breedable novelty pokemon [40/41]: only missing Munchlax
- Novelty evolutions [20/23]: missing Ditto [Book], Vanillite [Snowless] and Rotom [Dex]
- Mega evolutions [24/42] (not counting legendaries): still missing too many to list ;n:

I really like your idea of finishing old SWSHunts. I'll definitely do that too someday, but maybe not yet. Maybe when I'm closer of finishing my shiny Mega task first... Do you plans of just getting one of each or are you also working forward on living shiny pokedex?

Oh I'm also currently working towards Can't Pass It Up -achievement. I even stopped doing shiny novelty hunts so I won't use my Pass Orbs. (735 to go)

When I still had birds I celebrated their birthdays by giving them an extra treat that day.

I just found out that a game I bought last year has already been discontinued, which is a shame because I hoped it would sell much better than it did.

Yesterday I found out a few things about this little program called AVIUTL. It looks really easy to use so I might be using it more frequently. Just have to find out how to get high res videos in 60fps. It's probably some setting I haven't found yet.

If anyone knows and would like to share with me, please and thank you!

I'll try for tapu today too, hopefully will get it and take it out of the to-get list.

My goals are currently focused on shiny hunts, got a fey in queue and would like to end them Chimchar, staryu, golett, anorith and a bunch of legendaries. I actually hope one of the SWSH leftovers gets to 1000 as all of them are about to hit 400 eggs.

Ugh I couldn't finish the shiny hunt. I hatched *so* many rowlets. So I'll have to get something good in for this poke hunt so I can get some prize points.

We went to watch a movie in school today. Went all the way out to the actual movie theater. The movie that we watched was about the first African American lady to be a NASA engineer, and it was based on a true story. I had low expectations for it but it was better than I expected.

I just finished the Zygarde exploration again but I'm not sure which one I want to do next. The site's been kinda slow on my end. I'll try and keep my party closed tomorrow so someone else can have a chance at getting Tapu Koko, but if by any chance I accidentally end up with one, I'll drop it for someone.

In terms of goals I have a few main ones being:

• Finish my box of Shiny Axew
• Finish off the plates and Arceus
• Work through my Shiny Dex
• Hunt old SWSH Pokémon
• Claim #1 in Battle Tower Wins / Subway Battles Total / Subway Battles Wins
• Get some new Daily Statistics Records

All my records are around 2011 and haven't gotten over them since.. so I think I'll be trying to break some of those at some point! Especially my evolutions in a day record, I only got them for the achievement and haven't done it since lol!

I'm glad it's not just me that's had some slowness with the site right now. I'm trying to click to level up my 150 IV Bergmite but it's taking a while.

You kind of stole my first choice ;-; I knew I knew I should have messaged Jen before I left for school. Oh well, at least now I get another Suicune for my collection and -hopefully- Tapu Koko

I also didn't get a shiny again, but I did have enough prize points to buy the new item. I changed my shiny Rotom I picked up in the shelter with it, and renamed him from "Biscuits" (this is totally not a reference to anything that has something to do with an oven, nope) to "Dex".

I don't really have a lot of goals on GPX, but I'm hoping to finish my hunt for shiny Zergoose. I've been hunting it for so long I just want to get it over with. I'm also going to try and get all of the Arceus Plates sometime this year. I just have to hope that I actually get shinies with shards I need. I will also focus on Poke Hunts of shards I need, maybe they'll finally end the hunts for them.

Going for Plate mons would be a very fun and interesting idea!

I'll probably get another Ice Shard this week which will be nice. I'm also hunting Snorunt and Vanillite right now so would be nice to get those shinies too! which leaves me with about 11 shards left to get which is nice ~

Gonna try and steam through as many DotW runs as I can before summer.

Still need to finish SWSH rowlet, but, I am glad that I got litten and popplio done.

Currently working on getting regirock from the exploration as its the last one I need to complete my set. Then I have to decide between genesect and zygarde as I still need both I think.

I was hoping the Electronic Band would be in the shop today! Now to cross Volcanion off of my to-get list.

One thing with driving to campus every day is that I am using my mobile walker more effectively now. Roughly a 24 mile drive makes for a nice exp. gain for the activations.

As of now, here on this site, I'm slowly creeping my way up the most proper berries list. (sitting at 107, watch out people above me!) And my shards. currently working on splash, thanks to Popplio. =D Shiny's would be a plus, if i didn't use up my luck last month on the SWSH.

My job has me over working, the joys of being the boss. (i think now it annoys me greatly when people complain about extra hours) I 've been sitting at 45-50 a week since Thanksgiving. Maybe after Atlanta wins (^-~) on Sunday i'll be able to have more 'me' time...which is mostly spent on FFXV now.

Snowing like crazy today. Yesterday the weather said "oh might rain, might snow but it will be light and only 30% chance" basically. Ugh the weather people here are just ridiculous. Not to mention it's only 20 degrees F. Cold! I love snow, don't get me wrong, but cold + wind is pretty awful.

Eh. A mass Gen 7 release will likely feature everything else, minus Legendary pokemon and potentially the Ultra Beasts. And even THOSE could potentially be found, I suppose.

And I'm NOT expecting Gen 7 this month. Iirc, it took at least 6 months after the release of Gen 6 before they were implemented here. And I'm thinking it was even longer? Of course, I could be remembering incorrectly OR they could be faster this go-around since they've already dealt with it once.

I have no idea when Gen 7 will be coming out beyond the starters and Tapu Koko, but I have a feeling that it'll be a bit staggered somewhat-as in UBs and Legends released at a separate time from the rest of the 'mons. Though IDK how Necrozma will be categorized...

On a side note, the CD I've imported has finally arrived! I'm listening to it as we speak-holy shit it's amaze....

IIRC there were at least two or three separate phases of small groups of Gen 6 Pokemon. (Not even counting the non-breedables.)

Hopefully the Gen 6 release has given the staff enough experience to experiment with ways to speed up the release. A lot more Alola Pokemon were revealed before the games came out than Kalos Pokemon were, and there are also not many more new Alola ones than Kalos ones (maybe fewer when all the Vivillon and Furfrou are accounted for?), so hopefully that should allow things to progress on the same timeframe or a bit faster one.

Oh look, I actually remembered to keep my party closed this time! Congrats to everyone who got a Tapu!

I took a look at the other explorations and noticed I hadn't done Regigigas in two and a half years. Don't know if I plan on doing it again. I always hated the feeding task because of how long it took and for some reason I felt it drags out longer than it should.

A little update on my grandfather: He's doing fine and he's regaining strength and talking more normally, but he needs a lot of physical therapy.

February already, this time is flying by so fast.

I was lucky enough to get Tapu Koko, feeling good with that cause I forgot to keep open space when it was previously distributed. Also I was lucky to get Shiny Rowlett in SWSH, but now I have to finish my Popplio hunt, meh.

And talking bout exploration, I have to finish Mewtwo one from January. Then I think I'll try for Zygarde and Regigigas. Still dreaming about shiny one.

Uni is taking so much time now, medicine is not as easy as I supposed it may be, haha.

No clue what else to vie for so I'll have to go back and check in on that aspect. Was really hoping my activity would make my party shine... but guess not. Ah well.

I haven't started any monthly explores yet either so maybe I'll look into that now that I don't really have an egg favorite for the month. It looks like The Order of Terminus Cave and The Hidden Ruins are the two explores that I'm "behind" in so I'll probably work on those. No overwhelming concern for which one I start with so I'll just see which one looks the hardest and go from there. *blush*

Congrats to the Tapu winners. I'm sure I'll be slightly green with envy until I find the way to get my own Tapu.

Running On Ice, so glad to hear that your grandfather is doing better. My husband is also improving every day a bit at a time. I hope that your grandfather continues to do so well. PT will be a big thing in helping him regain what he might've lost. My husband has been doing Home Health Physical Therapy and should hopefully be starting the Cardiac Therapy next week (or the week thereafter at the most). That will be key to regaining his strength so that he could get out more on his own and be driving and working again. Here's to the men in our life working their way back to where they once were (only more stronger and healthier)!

Whee, so happy, I got Tapu Koko! I came back after being inactive for a really long time just a little over two weeks ago and I've been having such good luck. I finished four shiny hunts since then, including SWSH and a novelty hunt. I've remembered why I love this site. I have to read 20 pages tonight, thirty pages by Monday, and 106 by Tuesday for various classes. Holy balls I didn't think this semester through.

I did get a nice little surprise today, though. As I walked into my second class today, the professor - who I have had classes with for the last four semesters - came over to me and gave me a book. It's a series of essays on the personal philosophies of people who have been super successful, and he wrote a little message on the inside cover for me. I was honestly not expecting something like that from him, but I certainly will not complain. If I weren't so bogged down with reading at the moment, I would start on it right away.

Since the groundhog saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter I was all 'oh well, its been a nice winter here' Probably just upset the weather gods and poor ole Wisconsin is going to get a super dump of snow next week.

My only complaint was the nasty ice storm like three weeks ago. Never driven on ice and it was interesting when my SUV went sideways while at a complete stop. I never want to deal with that again.

The groundhog was right since its been like 40 degrees F the past two days, despite being in the 70s at the beginning of the week. On Valentine's Day 2 years ago there was a horrible ice storm and I'd rather that not happen again.

Its been 30 here steady, which is nice since just last year we were in -30! =D Gotta love those winter vortexes. Every so often we get some crazy weather system not normal for this time of year...I remember tornado warnings one January years ago.

I love fondue, chocolate. Cheese, though Wisconsin born and bred, I'm not a fan of. I even get to try out my fondue warmer I got this year! No more double boiling in my household. xD I'll be making a reese's peanut butter footballs for Sunday's big game.

Yay I got Tapu! The fact that we don't have a multiplier is making it very slow to hatch, though Thinking back I maybe should've gone for Remorage, because I am pretty sure I do not have an egg entry for it yet. Ah well, I'll breed one in the future.


So my university just informed me that I have been selected to go abroad for the first semester next school year. They have yet to nominate me to the other university (and the other university has yet to accept me) but I have high hopes and I'm very excited!

I don't typically listen to the groundhog because in Colorado, our biggest snow season is March. So we always have more winter. xD Although last year was unseasonably warm, we still got some snow in May, but it was just very wet.

We see more wind and ice here than snow, however (especially since this state has a habit of snowing, sun melts snow, then freezes again overnight). I've found that if you have to deal with the ice, a good set of tires will go a long way. Also, since I just have a sedan with front wheel drive, I keep some boxes in my trunk to give a bit of weight to the back. Oh, and my dad had given me years ago these traction pads (https://www.amazon.com/Tire-Traction-Mat-Emergency-Black/dp/B001LF6WNW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486143246&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=tire+traction&psc=1 if you're curious) that have saved my butt so many times. I'm pretty confident driving now, as long as I take it slow and stay away from big hills. That being said...I've been stuck a lot, slid a lot, and other various scares. I'm lucky I've never had an accident. <3

Overall, just be careful with ice. Snow gives you a bit of traction but ice does not. And other drivers just scare me sometimes. Especially people with trucks or Jeeps who think that it's okay to go fast and do whatever because they have a truck. Omgosh no T_T

@Lumena: If you're talking about the University of Exeter in the UK, I've heard of it. Not very au fait by way of universities, being a college girl myself, but I'm sure they're all charming people. What are you studying?

@Alchemists Fire: The beauty of legendary explorations as well is that they come round every month and if you are still on them by month end, you get a grace period of a further 2 weeks to finish off. If you start a legendary exploration at the start of the month, you technically have 6 weeks in order to clear it so it eases the pressure a bit.

@amnesiacJornal: I think so long as you're active in the two weeks before the distributions, you're eligible to receive anything from the distributions. Just make sure you have a space free at 4pm server (or not if you're aiming for a certain Pokemon).

Thanks Sam for asking for Tapu Koko. I already had one from before, but it's always worth holding onto to see if it hatches shiny

Well I didn't get the Tapu Koko I wanted, but Suicune is just as great. Now if it was the guaranteed shiny I'd be even more happy *cough*. I'm not going to hope for a shiny Suicune, it won't happen anyways.

I had stupid luck yesterday, I ended up getting 3 Korechu and a Missingno header back to back to back to back . I was surprised to say the least, I didn't really expect to get THAT many in a row, I'm lucky enough if I get ONE header event every few days.

I hate to bring up my Pa again but I was at the hospital most of the day today. It took us a while to get there and once we did, we took an elevator that we thought was for the hospital but it was just for the parking garage. It didn't help that I wore nicer shoes as opposed to comfortable ones. My legs are a little pained but it's alright. He's making progress.

I rarely sell my items, and I never sell my flame orbs. Sometimes I even forget to sell the valuable items, until I happen to look at that tab and see that I have 5 Rare Bones just collecting dust.

Work was a nightmare today. Comcast outage, our grocery delivery was 13 hours late, most of our systems were running on dial up, and I didn't sleep last night. jfc I'm glad to be home.

My sister and I went to see Yugioh Dark Side of Dimensions yesterday at the cinema, and I really enjoyed it! It felt so nostalgic watching it...Yugioh was a huge part of our childhood haha. Also saw a trailer for the Sword Art Online movie that's coming out next month. Keen to go see that too

Groundhog Day seems to be a North American thing. Basically we wait for the groundhogs to come out of their burrows, and if they see their shadows it foretells 6 more weeks of winter xDD But if it's cloudy and the groundhog doesn't see it's shadow, then spring will come early =)

They must've seen shadows, because we got snow again yesterday after 2-3 fairly clear/sunny weeks xDD

I actually did watch the Super Bowl last night, for the first time ever. Or at least, the first time where I actually enjoyed watching the game. It was amazing to see so many commercials about equality, acceptance, and diversity. And some that were just poking fun at Trump.

And 3 wonderful ladies from the cast of Hamilton sang "America The Beautiful" and changed up the lyrics a bit, so that was cool, too.

I had not intended to spend all of last night watching the game. I was supposed to do homework. Now I am very tired with a lot to do, so I think I may head to campus early to get coffee and start on some work.

Umm, hello.
I'm not really new because I used to play years ago. Then I stopped for awhile. And then I was looking for something to do and remembered this place. Apparently, my account must have expired or something because it said my email wasn't associated with an account (and I'm 100% sure I had the right email, because it's one I've been using for a long time and only just recently switched to a new one). Anyway, I had to make a new account and start over. Which is fine, because it's been so long.

So, anyway, my party should be in my sig, and I have a Wooper that needs to be fed Rawst berries. And I'm having trouble getting any. It seems like I'm getting a lot of interactions but only a few people are feeding the right berry? It didn't take nearly as long last time I had a similar task, and I don't think the number was that much lower. It probably doesn't help that I don't have any friends here. And I am not a social person.

The "correct" berry feeding tasks can take quite awhile sometimes. I find they go down faster on multiplier days since more people are active.
There are some berry feeding tasks that take way longer than others though, like 100+ ones. Kinda why I'm avoiding doing That Burning Desire until I finish getting the Unown.

I'm still feeling the loss of the darkrai I accidentally released into the shelter, evidently, but what I'm feeling more is family strife and drama. I'm the only one safe from it because I'm quiet and just go along with things. If my family saw the shit I text my girlfriend my butt will be on the streets. So idk I was on a mostly hiatus on gpx the past few weeks and it might stay that way. I mostly have time for one "internet hobby", and rping is the most important.... In happier news I have hatched a shiny cherubi a few days ago \o/ not sure which form to keep it is as when it evolves. I'm planning on having one for each form tbh because cherrim has been growing on me over the years. If I'm reading things right, ive hatched at least one shiny a month since December 2015!! So surprising since there are times when my emotions can't handle too much online activity at once and I kind of slack off here from time to time

It is a miserable rainy day here, and I am super sick. Post-nasal drip, sore throat, upset stomach, headache, fever, runny nose, chills... all sorts of fun to be had here today.

I finished the Regigas exploration and moved on to the one for the other Regis, but I am having a horrible time finding a relicanth in any form for this task. I'm just going to try to breed one at this point.

I'm still horrendously sick. It took me three hours to get out of bed this morning because I was in too much pain to move and has a migraine. I'm still debating on going to classes or not today. I probably should, but I'm not sure if I'm in good enough shape to be driving.

Yeah shelter eggs are only in supply as however many breeders there are, how many eggs their pair produces and how many people are picking them up.
So more people hunting them + honey+ = lack of eggs

That's the problem with some eggs. More people take them from the shelter than people who breed them. Some aren't even bred at all
Heck, I started Turtwig about a week ago so I could have a shiny of each Sinnoh starter.... haven't seen a single one. I forget if Turtwig was even an option for the SWSH if he already had his turn, I might never get one as I'd rather breed and hunt a novelty than breed a single Pokemon.

Bwahaha, my classes got cancelled due to snowstorm, so I get to stay home and play around on here xD

I cleaned out Spiritomb eggs yesterday, and no one's breeding them, so I started xD Cause there's still plenty of Rowlet eggs, hahaha. It also appears that Gastly eggs are in short supply, so I may end up swapping my Ditto for a Gaastly and breeding a Gastly/Spiritomb pair.

Also, did anyone else notice that the berries got swapped for Valentine's sweets?

Personally, I'm pleasantly surprised Honey+ is active again. Nice to see that the fundraiser is going pretty well so far. I know I spent a decent amount, though I might do more if I get caught up on bills.

Once I get done with work today, I think I need to actually catch up on homework and readings that I've missed from being sick for the last week. I'm finally starting to feel better, but this flu has been kicking my ass.

I have all of them pretty much. I just have to evolve the ones in my party and wait for the weather-related ones. I couldn't seem to find how to get Alolan Marowak though. It didn't show up in Marowak's dex information last time I checked.

I was actually able to evolve my Wishiwashi without having to do anything. I thought it required having another one around it.

Another option to help with the lag is to disable images on your browser. I don't think it'll help much compared to the mobile site, though. Managed to get 5 vouchers before I went AFK, am now working on getting the rest.

I completely forgot about Repel being a thing. I bought about 50 of them to spam. Since not all of the new guys can be redeemed given there's more than 15, quite nice. Scored Vulpix and Pyumukyu(? I don't remember how to spell its name)

It's been a bit laggy with giving it out.
Sometimes I've gotten it almost immediately after hitting a 1k mark, other times I've been waiting a few minutes

So I decided to use the honey+ to fill my team RIGHT before reset, and a funny thing happened xD I hit "fill my party" and meowths disappeared and "There were not enough eggs to fill your Party; A new set will now be loaded, and if you wish to continue, click the Fill Party button again." popped up when it actually HAD filled my team xD I guess everyone was rushing to finish their teams at reset through the lag

Just hatched my Pyukumuku egg from the voucher... shiny! Apparently it's the first one ever on the site, which is astounding. A nice way to celebrate my return to the site.


Just read that Gen II will be added to Go soon. Pretty exciting, hopefully I can get some of those dark-types and start laying waste to gyms nearby, as they're mostly controlled by things like Hypno and Alakazam.

I also enjoyed yesterday's activities. I came so close to securing that 4th voucher, but at 9:55 pm last night I was at 3.9 something and then boom! Down went the hammer and I just missed it. Doh! So this morning I used the majority of my prize points and brought enough so I had all 15. Though I'll probably go back and buy, I think, the other two, for the evolution's with the Ice Shard. Which I also used my coins to buy a lifeboat supply of those. Continuing my purchase craze, I also brought two more storage boxes for my Pokemon.

Lettuce see, what else have I been up to? I began one of the monthly explores today and I did manage to nab a Pokemon for the start of this month's scavenger hunt. It kind of took me by surprise when I saw it was already that time of the month. Wow. It feels like I just returned to work full time last week and already here we are? My oh my! Since I don't have to travel to the Audit Workshop, here is hoping that I can complete every day of the hunt this month. *crosses fingers*

Kudos on that first new gen shiny, PenguinPaladin! That is so awesome!

I'm "this close" to wanting to restart my Pokemon Go! since it refuses to find my Mamanator account. From all the fun stuff I've seen and heard, I really want to play again. I just hate not being able to play as me. So I guess I have to blow the dust off of Swiss and have him be me. LOL

I know that, for explorations, you aren't allowed to actually have Pokemon for tasks until you start the task you're on.

So! I started my current task at 2:27 pm today wherein I needed the Growlithe. While it's true I had the egg before this time, I purposely did not hatch the egg until after I began the task. The egg hatching was recorded at 2:27 pm today. Historically I've been able to use this method. Grab an egg; keep it - don't hatch it - until after starting the task.

So. What went wrong? Was the hatching too close to the 2:27 pm time period so it won't accept it? Are we no longer allowed to grab eggs and keep them "lying in wait" for tasks? It's not like I had the Growlithe before the task because I had to wait to start the task, hatch it, and still level it up.

So. What went wrong? Anybody?

iirc the wording is "must be obtained beforeafter starting the task". Key word being "obtained"; this means getting the egg beforehand but hatching it afterwards wouldn't count.

It could be that they changed that because I've done it like this in the past; it used to be that they didn't count the egg because it hasn't hatched so you technically don't have the required Pokemon. I guess I just never hatched it so close to accepting the next task before. Guess I'll find out a few more tasks in when Aaron is up. I'm hoping that, if I wait to hatch until the minute tics off, I should be good.

At least for this task there was a Growlithe waiting to be adopted and, with the multiplier, leveling up was as easy as... well... you know.

Same here. The town I'm nearest isn't exactly the greatest place either, and my data plan is rather limited. It's too bad because me and my sis loved playing it when it was first released. Now we just don't care much mainly because of the data.

I'm pretty happy right now since I hatched a self-bred shiny Cutiefly earlier! The hunt didn't last all that long, which was great considering it took the SWSH for me to find all the Alola starters.

Ah well. At least I had a banner day on GPX and these little hiccups are minor speed bumps as well as footnotes for future exploration tasks.

Thanks to those of you who recommended the online TCG for learning. It helped a ton.

RE: Pokemon Go. I think I played for like a week before giving up. It wasn't meant to run on the device I was using at the time and not having a car/license meant not having very many places to go and thus few pokemon to catch. Public transportation here is kinda meh compared to my home town.

Only managed 3 vouchers yesterday with the lag and other things but thanks to breeders I only need 2 more of the new 'mons.

@PoGo: I might just delete the app to be honest. I haven't played it in forever, even though I'm back in Bristol. I feel it'd be okay for summer maybe, but even then, there's no need to have it JUST for summer.. especially as all I'll be doing is working and seeing the boy anyway.

I'm currently having a mini crisis in regards to my university transfer.

So we have things called BTEC's over here which are different to A-Levels. Worth the same thing eventually but different qualification. I emailed about transfers and used the words "BTEC in Applied Science" and I finally got a response back to say they don't usually accept things like that alongside A Level Biology as 2 of their 3 qualifications

This is true - although what I actually have is a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Science (Forensic Science), which actually is equivalent to an A-Level, so not actually a separate qualificiation.. if that makes sense. It's called a BTEC but it counts FOR an A-Level.. so I think they've gotten the wrong end of the stick for me being an idiot so I'm having a crisis if I can actually transfer yet or not ugh. I really hope I do. I'm not enjoying my course at ALL here and I don't like being far from home.

What's got me all like this is, I have a friend whose supervisor is part of the admissions team and she's on the case with shit which I need to send off to my friend so he can give it to her. Annoyingly I'm waiting on a single certificate because my college didn't tell me it's ready ugh, this needs to happen. I get marks released today so I really hope I've done decent so I can be all "HEY WARWICK LOOK I'M A CLEVER MAN PLS LET ME IN"

That sounds like a lot of hassle over something that shouldn't be that big of a deal. I am so sorry you have to go through that! I know here that transferring credits between schools is a pain because it is up to the new school to pick and choose which classes and credit they will actually count and accept. It's an arbitrary process that usually means the student has to spend more time and money to retake classes that didn't meet the "requirements" for the new school. College is basically a bullshit factory, or at least it is here.



With that multiplier yesterday, I was able to finish one shiny hunt. Pidgey at 391 eggs.

Well, I just got my first Gen 7 shiny: a Oricorio [Baile]. Wasn't actually hunting it, as I was just grabbing any Mystery Egg I saw in the Shelter. But any shiny is a good shiny.

EDIT - @ Alchemist's Fire: Yes. I've grabbed an egg from the Lab after using a Repel. Don't think I've seen one in the Shelter yet, though.

EDIT² - Well, first Gen 7 of the new releases, anyway. I already had the shiny starters.

Kind of figured Crabrawler would be less popular, and in turn would be harder to obtain via shelter. :/

After the next breeding cycle I'll go ahead and throw my own Crabrawler in the daycare. Hopefully with a good multiplier I'll be able to donate a lot of eggs for everyone who's having trouble obtaining the coconut crab.

Well, my luck in PokeGo has been pretty good with the new update! Ledyba, Ledian, Sentret, Murkrow, Aipom, Spinarak, Espeon, Umbreon, and Hoppip already. I need to figure out where to get the special items so that I can evolve my scyther.

Seeing that my shine recorder has races in it again is pretty cool. I just need to actually find the eggs for all of them so I can try and finish them!

I've had a very fruitful Go day myself Murkrow, Ledyba, Spinarak & Ariados, Natu & Xatu, missed a wooper, got Sentret, Furret, a Teddiursa over 600 CP (as I was walking 3km from the grocery store... xD) I think there was 1 or 2 more but I can't think what they are and my phone is charging. I did get a Ditto disguised as a Sentret tho!

waitwait they introduced evolution with items too?! I thought something was different when I got a nanab berry today (that I used to get said teddi xD)

Gen 2 in Pokemon Go has rekindled my love for the game haha. Last night, we made a family outing out of going for a Pokemon walk and getting dinner at a cafe that has a Pokestop (plus lure) outside of it. Managed to catch a heap of new Pokemon and evolve a couple. Just waiting to come across some evolution items to evolve a couple of the gen 1 Pokemon that have gained an evolution now. Really want to find a Mareep

Recently my boyfriend has gotten me into watching the Marvel movies (I hadn't seen them before), and really enjoying them...dunno why I didn't watch them sooner haha. Up to watching Avengers 2 now. I think Iron Man would have to be my favourite ^^ I've also started watching the new A Series of Unfortunate Events series on Netflix. Loved the books as a kid and really liking how they've done the TV series thus far.

I believe evolution items are coming from Pokestops? No idea about how common though.

I'm SUPER-excited, because one of my friends wants to go on a Pokemon Go hunt downtown for her birthday tomorrow!! Can't wait to see what we'll find! (I bought another Pokemon storage upgrade too, since they halved the price xDD)

Pokemon Go actually motivates my family to go for walks :P When we had our dog, we used to go for a walk or two a day, but after she died, we lost the motivation. So now Pokemon Go has made going for walks fun again ^^ I think now it's my mum that takes Go the most serious xD She was complaining that she's just learned the names of the gen 1 Pokemon, and now there's another 80ish too learn haha.

So far I've seen Iron Man 1, 2 and 3, Thor 1 and 2, Captain America 1 and 2, Avengers 1, Guardians of the Galaxy and Dr Strange ^^ Now that I've remembered about Dr Strange, I'd have to say that's also one of my faves Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy 2 coming out in a few months.

I've been wondering if there's some sort of trick to unlocking Elite Clicker and Speed Reader.
They seem near impossible; I've only been able to reach 81k, and the feed exploration mon task takes more than an hour.

There are a couple of explorations that don't require feeding tasks.
Edit: I got confused between achievements. Wait until Summon The Hero comes round again OR Angered Gods of Weather. That should help

Elite Clicker I'd recommend a day you have nothing planned.
If you can click 300 a minute, that's 3k every 10 minutes and then 18k an hour. Elite Clicker will be gotten in ~14 hours.

The idea is to not focus on getting Pass Orbs or eggs or whatever. Just click the Random list or the All Users List and rinse and repeat. I haven't gotten over 100k in a long time so I'm not sure if one round of every user's current Pokémon is worth 250,000, but I'd advise getting the Odd Incense if you don't already have it.

How I click is I open the Berry Feeder in new windows (that option). I go to the first page of the All Users list, open 300, let it load. You know it's fully loaded when you see the mini yellow egg with green spots. Then I open another 300 (as many as I want/can, I often open an entire page of users because my computer can handle it) then I just click through them all. Ctrl + Tab onto the next set and keep doing that. I can usually achieve between 500 and 750 interactions a minute this way spamming 1-5. I also have the 'list' set to "Show as parties".


Like that ^ So this way you can have a single tab, but open up to 300 Pokémon within this tab. I then repeat the process, so with a page of 1000 users opening 300 at a time, I can have about 8 tabs of Pokémon each with up to 300 in, so potentially a maximum of ~2400 interactions once it's all done.

Obviously people will disagree with me saying "it takes longer", but this is my own personal method. It works for me, so I'm just sharing my own method. Also lately there's been lag, so I click with this "Wizmage" add on which basically disables images without hindering anything and I've found it reduces the lag a bit.

I feel happier today as I've finally completed Master Commuter. All those runs of DotW helped (and have all the Arceus forms now) and feel very satisfied getting this done! So I treated myself by using my prize points reward to get a rebellious Electronic Band rather than enigma stones I should try and get the elite clicker one at some stage too (and I hadn't considered a separate tab either, thanks for the tip Sam)...but job for another day.

So, I bought Purchase Power to get what I needed and decided to go ahead and buy Ice Stones as well instead of waiting until they rotate back into the Shop on their own. {I missed them the first time they came out.}

It's supposed to do that the Berry Feeder works by loading 'sets' of Pokémon, every 20 to be precise. Unfortunately due to the lag it takes longer, which is why I use the extension I use to disable images without hindering anything. By disabling all it does it make a pretty cloud thing where the images are for some reason lol.

Also there is the factor of internet and computers and all that.

@Orenji: Yeah I did the same as what RicFule did I bought a bunch on Valentine's Day when Gen7 first came out (well, some of it). I did have to use Purchase Power to obtain them, though.

Well hey, today's going pretty well for GPX. Just hatched a Shiny Alolpix after only 46 eggs. As long as my friend takes more eggs than that, I will have won our race. I'm also getting a lot of interactions done.
This multiplier is wonderful, which makes me even happier for dumping credits into it!

At least the site is treating me well today. I'm in all sorts of pain for some reason, and I slept for nearly 12 hours after the stress I went through yesterday.

For some dumb reason i decided to soft reset for a shiny type:null and im already bored out of mind 50 sr's in, i tried SoS chaining for the first time the other day was looking for pichu but got a pikachu in under two hours (didnt keep track of encounters because i didnt think i would get it) Shiny alolan raichu looks soooo adorable x3 i love it even if he dosent have good sp.atk or speed iv's

Hello Everybody!

Today is my Monday and, so far, it's going pretty ok. Sadly I found out this morning that my husband forgot to take his medication at bedtime when he texted me to tell me "way to go for making sure I take them". LOL... uh... what? So yeah. Hopefully that's the worse my day will get.

Looks like we're searching for dragons for this week's hunt and I'm hoping to switch it up by finding a different one (Dratini would be nice, but I'm also trying for Bagons), but if I loose the multiplier I'll probably switch to the good ole stand by of Char-Char. *smirk*

Draco shards are what I need the most of. I'd start a hunt for Dragons, but I already got the only low maturity one as a shiny. And the others are a pain to hatch on some days. I barely see the one I'd like to hunt anyways, already have a Goomy. It's Bagon.

Also, party hat Pikachu in Pokemon Go. Cute.

The first Arceus plate I got was a Dragon plate so I got lucky. I think it was a reward for a swsh but I'm not sure...
I still want to hunt a few more dragons for fun though, but there's a lot more other stuff that's up first.

I haven't hunted any flying or steel types so I might have to get myself to hunt one of those once I'm done with my current non-novelty hunt. Or I could work the other way around and only hunt those I only need just 1 more shard of :P

Any tips/ideas on what would be best?

Well, I'd suggest hunting an Alolan Pokemon for shards you need. It's what I'm doing, like Sandshrew and Vulpix.... I need Ice shards and I like those shinies so it is a win-win.
I don't think there is a new Steel type actually.... aside from Sandslash and well, legendaries? But Pikipek would be a nice hunt for Flying shards surely whenever he gets added. Along with those Orocario if you got their things done
Cause Alola Pokemon will be being highly bred for awhile I imagine. So it'll be easier than older Pokemon(unfortunately for some hunts)

Well, Oricorio will not give you Flying Shards, since the Flying type is the secondary type and not the primary. There doesn't seem to be any primary Steel Alola pokemon on the site yet {?}, but there are a couple with secondary Steel typing: the aforementioned Sandshrew line and Togedemaru. Currently released Alola pokemon are only good for Ice, Bug, Fighting, Water, Ghost, Fire, Psychic, Electric, and Dark hunts.

It doesn't matter if anything is a secondary typing or not, hatching a shard from a shiny Pokémon only functions with the primary typing. The only time the secondary typing is used is if the primary typing is Normal, as there is no 'Normal Plate'.

Klink, Mawile, Honedge, Bronzor and Aron seem to the most common primary steel types in terms of what I've seen. Not sure how common they are, though..

The only primary steel types Alola gave us are Celesteela and Magearna.. so you could be lucky with those two @ Lune :P Otherwise I'd stick to the 4 I mentioned.

I've only got about 4-5 shards left to get so it's making my own hunting very limited now lol. The sooner it's over the better, I've got so many plates to do still. I'm only on my 5th run of DotW but I've got about 13 plates finished.. aha.

Yeah. That's what I was saying with the Oricorio not giving out Flying Shards. As for the secondary Steel mention, that was only because Fennekin said they thought the only Steel Alola was SandSLASH and Legendaries. I was just giving out the others of the currently released pokemon. I didn't research the complete Alola Dex to see if there were some that have not been released.

so I was lucky enough to find a copy of Crystal and a GBC off a Facebook group, and damn I've been loving it. The simplicity is kinda nice, pretty familiar even though I've only ever played a Gen 2 game as a little kid. Sprites are really crisp in-battle.

For the Plates, I'd go with the 4-shard ones so that you can get it over with quicker before next month.

That moment when you realize that your dream of completing another Scavenger Hunt gets ripped away from you. *sigh* I'll be flying to Houston, TX this Saturday and will be gone all week attending the Audit Workshop. So much for daily clicks while I babysit the office. *sigh*

Hubby's doctor appointment was today and it went well. While he isn't yet cleared for work, he was cleared to drive. As soon as we told my boss that... they already had me booked on the first available flight. Doh! Seems you have to go left (CA) to go right (TX). LOL Quite unhappy about my flight times (7am) on both going and returning as that probably means I have to be up at 4am. But. *sigh* I suppose. This is my job. I just never expected them to want to get me on a plane to attend and cover the workshop at this late date. Note to Self. Next time. Hold back the good news from your job. LOL

In GPX related news... at least I got today's hunt complete. 5K+ of clicks in 2 hours. *phew* Sadly, for the explore I'm on, that wasn't good enough. Not nearly. It took me over 5k interactions plus TWO super searches to find that explore item. Gah! So yeah. That delayed the completion of this explore as I wait for 55 passersby to toss a berry (any berry, mercifully) our way. So if you want to take pity on a fellow player who can't complete this month's scavenger hunt, and had the search power putter out on her forcing extra purchase of it.... then yeah. Stop by my party and throw a sweet berry at the purple blob. We'd both appreciate it.

I've pretty much given up on the Pokemon tasks for the Scavenger hunt xD School doesn't give me enough time to even get my eggs hatched (my last one hatched about an hour and 20 mins before server reset...there's NO WAY I would've been able to get that to level 62 or 72 or whatever)

I'm still annoyed at myself for totally forgetting to open chests for the first trinket task, and I didn't remember until 5 minutes after reset...gah

The good news is I finally managed to find a couple of Crabrawler eggs! Sounds like I just missed the snow weather though xD

I just checked, and I have 4 shards for each of the following types: Draco, Earth, Flame, Iron, and Insect. And the only one of those I have a hunt for is Flame. So, my next hunts that I pick will be trying to knock those out before I move onto the ones I need 2-4 more shards for.

I'm currently debating on splurging on a Mass Effect: Andromeda hoodie, since they are on pre-order at the moment. I have two other Mass Effect Hoodies and one from Dragon Age. I don't need a new one, per se, but I would certainly like that. Doesn't help that March's LootCrate has something Overwatch related, too, so I'm even more tempted to splurge...

Okay, already checked. Going by the dates I have on my MAL watched list (and I'm pretty sure I've watched all of them the same day they came out), it's five/six months between releases. Following that trend the next one would be around mid/late summer.

Nah, not when they're asking for anything above about lvl 40. I couldn't do the lvl 62 and lvl 78 tasks because of classes and transit time, not enough time in the day to fit the interactions in. And it didn't help that my eggs didn't hatch until an hour before site reset. Heck, I even missed one of the trinket tasks because of other commitments.

Saving up points to buy the bicycle might help, but I need more PC boxes more... running out of space, and I've already bought the 15 extra 6k boxes


In other news, I FINALLY finished my Shiny Rowlet hunt. 43 days and 1080 eggs...

Congratulations! During SWSH I hatched my first shiny popplio after 12 eggs and now I have hatched 1400 more without another shiny.. My longest shiny hunt ever, I'm starting to feel it's impossible to get shiny popplio.

I've been sick a whole week now, finally starting to feel better. Tomorrow is a work day and I'm a little bit afraid how tired I will be after my shift. At least I have had good amount of time to heal properly. Last time I was this sick was like 10 years ago, I'm never sick usually.

I've enrolled in 2 units for sure, but unsure about a third or fourth. I had some complications with my class availability...I emailed uni asking them about it a month ago and the only reply I've got from them so far is "we're looking at it". So I'm a bit frustrated about this At least campus is good for playing Pokemon Go. But all the gyms there are already lv10 Mystic, so I'm going to have to wait for them to get defeated for me to start doing gyms again :P

I also signed up for an anime loot box and preordered the Yuri and Victor Nendoroids (from Yuri on Ice) so I have those to look forward to

Part of gen 7 was released, mobile walker works again, the chrome and safari notifier was updated to work again, the IRC chat is now on Discord, a handful of new novelties, there's been a few events, nothing major like layout changes or new mechanics or whatever.
Or at least, not that I remember.

I was wondering why the chat tab doesn't work anymore. I haven't really been on the forums much anyway. Too much to keep up with. I finally finished my duskull hunt first thing this morning. It was from the site wide shiny hunt close to two years ago. I had to finish that one to cancel the ekans hunt. Still trying to get all the novelties I've missed.

We moved to Kenosha. Finally not with my parents anymore and my husband came back. Much happier together than apart. Only worry now is money which will change with taxes, thank goodness. We can finally start really putting the apartment together, get daycare for Azriel and start a savings account. Working on our credit and getting out of debt so that we can start our farm in about five years. We are going to raise rabbits and chickens.

I've finally started feeling better physically. Got off all of the medication that they were throwing at me. Most of it I didn't need and was just making me sicker. I've been eating better and have only been drinking water and coffee. I've lost 14 pounds so far.

I'm wanting to be more active on here. Will help get me out of my own little world.

In my own shiny hunts, I've had pretty good luck recently. Alolan Vulpix, Grubbin, and Oricorio Baile all in the span of a few days. Once I get some more of the ones I have currently going done, I will focus more one what I need for my shards.

TBD is more of a nuisance than anything at this point. I need ~50 more berries for this Kecleon, then on to the next task.

To make more of a contribution, I'm looking into accommodation for next year as a Senior Resident for one of the halls I've gotta do some application and then have a series of interviews (I guess it'll be helpful for future ones?), plus I'll get other benefits. 75% reduced rent rate plus a nice fancy room to stay in.

I currently pay like £130 a week or ~£5500 for the entire year for where I am right now. Senior Residency would mean it's only around £1200 which is amazing.. means I actually have more money to play with and get some nicer food and start living a bit more easily again lmao. Just gotta find myself a referee and I'll be good to go!

My eggs hatched early enough, I even bought the Bicycle finally, and still, I only got my Pokemon to lvl 37 before server reset... and now there's only like two Pokemon that satisfy the requirement that are reasonably obtainable and there are none to be found...

I haven't posted here in forever, I've just been so busy.

I've completed all of the Scavenger Hunt tasks this month, hello prize points. The last Poke Hunt my Dragonite ended up getting 1st place which gave me the final Draco Shard I needed for the plate. I got the Pass It Up achievement as well this month, after nearly 3 years of trying to get pass orbs. I always used to spend them and I rarely clicked because my laptop was quite frankly garbage .

I started the Regi trio exploration tonight, this guy needs some berries:

I'm hoping that I finish this before reset so I can start the Zygarde exploration. I had plans to get both of them done this month but work took all of my energy. If I don't, oh well, there's always the next time it pops up.

EDIT: Well, that exploration was fast, already on Zygarde. This Noibat needs some Sour berries:
