Egg-wise, the longest was this:
On one hand, I never want to see another Misdreavus Egg again, but on the other I'm a little under 200 Eggs away from Hatching Insanity and since it's relatively low Maturity, Misdreavus won't be as painful to hatch as other Pokemon would be. As for time, I've honestly no idea who's taken the longest. -------------------- |

As for time, it would be my shiny Vibrava:
This was 1008 eggs over 411 days. Apparently this pales in comparison to other people's record for longest time to finish shiny hunts. As for eggs, it's my Masquerain: 1538 eggs over 309 days. -------------------- |

As for time, I've honestly no idea who's taken the longest. Okay, so, longest to hatch was still that Misdreavus. Longest time-wise was definitely her, since I rarely remember to put things on my Shine Recorder: This Pokémon was egg #933 in AregularFrankiefan's 544-day shiny hunt started on March 26th, 2017. -------------------- |

So, Jaden, my shiny Jolteon, is one of my longest - and with that maturity hatch for an Eevee, ridiculously painful.
BUUUUT.... he's actually second place. Rufflet actually out beats him by 2,693 - granted, that was for two of them, but one of the Rufflets definitely went past my shiny Jolteon's mark. I was a bit silly about it, and ended up canceling and deleting the hunt off my shine recorder when it passed the other record. Because I love Jolteon and wanted him to be the first in line not some silly bird xD Of the rest of my hunts, I've had about 9 others go past the 1000 egg mark - one of them being Easter Buneary, which took ages to get. Man was I tried of breeding rabbits by that point. This post has been edited by Jade: Sep 8 2019, 11:28 PM -------------------- |

My longest in number of eggs so far was:
This Pokémon was egg #1122 in jeanmichel's 72-day shiny hunt started on October 22nd, 2018. It allowed me to breed some Kryduck and Platipus. And I used a lot of Psyduck from others' Kryduck and Platipus breeding I guess. And I got it on Ultra Sun not long after too. |

In terms of eggs my longest hunt was for Pidgey, in 2012. It took 2,269 eggs in total.
In terms of time it was Pink Caterpie, which not only was a 970 days hunt but also took an absurd amount of eggs for a novelty, 880! My longest on-going hunt is for Pichu. I've hatched 993 eggs as for now and I still have more shiny pichu to get. -------------------- •TRINKET TRADING PLACE•||FC: 4055-4266-5767 POKEMON SHINY HUNTER//XY; ORAS; SUMO; USUM Spoiler (click to show ) |

I started a shiny hunt for Floral Togepi back in 2016, (251 eggs hatched so far) but I've put it on hold to concentrate on finishing the shiny hunt for Igglybuff, left over from the SWSH a year ago. (2462 eggs hatched. Any day now...)

The technically longest is Furfrou at 1210 eggs - although I have hunts that definitely feel longer.
