The day has finally arrived. It's time to start Ivan's first journey towards Furoh. But first, he had to go to Canalave City for a cruise to Port Barley. He already bid farewell to his parents before going to Vermilion City to take a speedboat. The speedboat didn’t have a license to go to Furoh so they dropped him in Canalave Port. The boat will not yet leave for at least an hour so he went to the ticketing booth to buy his ticket. He had to fall in line quickly since the line was so long. After waiting for more than fifteen minutes, he decided to ride the ferry because he was so excited in riding it. It was amazing! It was 65 meters long so you won’t get easily bored while riding and you can look around. It has an amazing view of the ocean while riding. It was also full of fun areas to pass the time like swimming pools, restaurants on boats, spas, Jacuzzis, mud baths, and even a battlefield! Of course, when there is a battlefield, there is always a pokemon center that treats pokemon when injured. The rooms were small and simple yet comfy to stay. The rooms’ key is a card that you swipe so no trespassers can steal your stuff.

Ivan was surprised to see that it was also full of new trainers ready to also start a journey. He didn’t know what to do first. So he walked around the ferry. He took a good look of the port and saw some flying Wingull and Pelipper. The pool wasn’t that big or deep. But at least it was clean and fresh. It was also good for water pokemon to play there. Of course, some just like to lie under the sun to get a tan. The Jacuzzis and mud baths are for relaxing your nerves to keep you calm and refreshed. Some pokemon can also join in. From the outside, the restaurant looks small but when you go inside, it almost looks like it was bigger than the ferry because it was full of space. It was good for live acts like singing and dancing. The battlefield is perfect for practice battles to start training your pokemon. The pokemon center was right next to it so you don’t need to rush from the other side of the boat. Actually, the Jacuzzis and mud baths were good for healing the pokemon so the center was mainly for treating the pokemon with status problems like paralysis or poison.

He went to his room and sat down for a while. He got lonely for a second and called out his pokemon.

“Go, Mao and Shivers!”

The Bulbasaur and Swinub ran around the room to chase each other. Mao chased Shivers but he cheated and used Vine Whip to grab him. But because of karma, Mao tripped and Shivers laughed so hard. They stopped and listened to Ivan for a moment.

“I’m so excited guys! This is gonna be a fun adventure!!”

Not much words, but very motivating for them. They stayed in the room and did some stuff for a while. He locked the room to make sure no one barges right in. The first room he checked was the bathroom. He styled his hair for a second and laid down the bed after styling. The beds were comfy and soft. It was so soft; he got drowsy and yawned for a moment. He didn’t notice that his eyes were getting heavy and because of that, he dozed off for a few minutes. Mao and Shivers chased each other again after Ivan spoke and dozed.
