Do you think the people of the world of pokemon are, themselves, pokemon? Do pokemon evolve (in the Darwinian sense, not the customary definition of the games)? If pokemon of the same evoloutionary line are just older/younger specimens, are they considered the same species? what about Eevee?

Hell no Do pokemon evolve (in the Darwinian sense, not the customary definition of the games)? Not exactly, but they can evolve/pre-evo into different things that previously did not exist. If pokemon of the same evoloutionary line are just older/younger specimens, are they considered the same species? what about Eevee? They're not considered the same pokemon, at least not amongst fans. They're not considered the same pokemon, at least not amongst fans. except that the primary sources of fan information are a TV show translated by a company known for botching the job, and an encyclopedia compiled from hearsay by tweens (the Pokedex) -------------------- |

Do you think the people of the world of pokemon are, themselves, pokemon? Who knows, considering that there seems to be no real animals in the Pokemon world, only Pokemon, we can only ask Tajiri himself, but that leaves us the question, what about plants...... QUOTE Do pokemon evolve (in the Darwinian sense, not the customary definition of the games)? Considering what Relicanth’s Pokedex description says, the answer is yes, also, thinking about the fact of this I found this the other day and thought it might interest you all: http://pokemon-academy.deviantart.com/ QUOTE If pokemon of the same evoloutionary line are just older/younger specimens, are they considered the same species? Yes, a definite yes, just ask Professor Oak, though the National Dex may not agree with this fact, it is true that if, for example, a Pikachu evolves into Raichu, then it's the same species..... QUOTE what about Eevee? I have only one thing to say on this: NOBODY CARES ABOUT THAT OVERRATED FLUFFBALL!!!!! -------------------- CLICK MY ROBOT POKEMON ARMY OR ELSE!!!!!! My icon was made by MelNathea on DeviantART My DeviantART account Water types are weak against Fire types if they use Thunder as armor. Flareon can use dive and aim for the horn. Then finish it off with False Swipe although it may faint if it uses Endure...but thats just because everyone knows Arbok evolves into Seviper |

I thought Eevee was just the same Pokemon, just it mutates under certain circumstances.

No way! Do pokemon evolve (in the Darwinian sense, not the customary definition of the games)? Um, no, they level up. If pokemon of the same evoloutionary line are just older/younger specimens, are they considered the same species? Of course not, that's why they're called Evolutions. what about Eevee? What about her? -------------------- |

ditto > kabuto > rampardos > toxicroak > aipom > slaking > ash more like ditto>magikarp>ash welll i wonder if people can be caught in poke balls Not really. Several times in the anime it's shown people getting hit with Pokeballs and nothing happens aside from a big shiner where the ball hit them followed by irritation. -------------------- |
