Appearance: Lets start with what some call the windows to the soul, the eyes. Raven's eyes are an attractive shade of ice blue. She does not let her emotions show through her eyes or through her body at all for that matter. When she is very tired dark wrings will appear under her eyes. While it would not be that noticeable on the average skin tone Raven is very pale, something that makes the black rings stand out when they appear. Her long waist-length hair is jet-black. As far as style goes she prefers to leave it down and not mess with it at all, giving it a natural look. When it comes to build Raven is tall and slender yet rather flat and not at all curvy. When Raven is getting dressed she likes to go with a simple yet dark look.

The shirt for a average outfit for her would be a ragged, loose, black t-shirt with a crescent moon on it. For pants she wears old ragged black shorts that go down to her knees. For shoes she wears hard jet-black combat boots that are often splattered with mud. Her backpack is more like a large, old, rumpled, black sack with a strap on it that she likes to sling over her shoulder. As far as accessories go there is only one thing she wears, a simple amulet that consists of a chunk of amber with a leather string going through it and attaching it to her neck.

Personality: If you where to tell someone that knew Raven that you thought she was perfect there is a good chance that they would burst out laughing. Raven is not a sweet girl, in fact she is rather cruel. She is often the one to start fights, fights that will often be meaningless. It is hard to impress her, you could take on a whole pack of wild pokemon with you're bare hands and she will ether call it dumb luck or call you a liar. She is very rude, most often she will not stop to check if something might be insulting before she says it. When she does take a moment to check it is probably because she is in a fight with someone and needs a good insult. This girl is brutally truthful when it comes to telling someone what she thinks about them, if she thought the league champion was a stuck up jerk she would tell him, right to his face with quite possibly a few swear words thrown in. While many people would hold their tongue, worried about what other people would think of them Raven will not for she does not care what others think of her, for the most part at least. There is some part of her deep down that does care what people think of her and longs for a human friend, although her overall aggressive personality prevents it for the most part.

While Raven does not get along with humans for the most part she likes cities, well as long as she does not have to stay in them for more then a week anyway that is. If she is there longer than that she will begin to get annoyed by all the people around her and attempt to get out as soon as possible. While her skills with other humans are not very good she loves pokemon and seems to get along with them rather well.

Raven is very sensitive. First off if you become very close to her you can call her Rae although she will not be happy about it, however if you are not very close she will probably snap at you. Little things can set her off, from not walking at the right place to the volume on the T.V. being to high. However, this does not stop her from being reckless and jumping in to things before shes has really thought it threw.

While Raven is very flawed she does have some redeeming qualities. She is brave, something that enables her to stand up for what she believes in. She is loyal, once you become her friend she will not betray you unless you betray her. And best of all, no matter how rude, aggressive, and violent she might be, she has a good heart.

Biography: Raven Cormac was born in the mountain town of Arasam to Melissa and Jonathan Cormac. While the average pregnancy would produce one, maybe two, children Raven was not part of an average pregnancy, in fact it was more like a litter. Raven was one of a group of quintuplets consisting of two girls and three boys. However the only other girl in the group, Carla Cormac, died soon after birth. However, having only four children did not calm Raven's father's nerves.

He wanted one child, no more, no less. Four children was more then he thought he could handle, physically or mentally. So, one week after his children as soon as Melissa got out of the hospital, Jonathan Cormac ran away from his family and his responsibilities. And so within a week of being alive Raven's family had gone from a family of seven to a family of five.

The first four years of Raven's life where rather uneventful, she rarely left the house let alone leave the village, instead she spent most of her time playing with her brothers, Finn, Jack, and Jake. However this all changed one day, all because her mother turned on the television. As she was channel surfing she saw a news report about a hostage situation in Kanto. She hesitated for only a moment, but a moment was all it took for the reporter to report that one man had been killed. As soon as these words left her mouth she announced that his name was Jonathan as a picture of the man flashed across the screen. She did not say the mans last name, however that was all it took for Raven's mom to break down sobbing and turn off the television. When her husband had left she removed all of his pictured from the house and never told her children about him, only telling them that he was gone. If she had Raven would not have asked what was wrong, she would have known that her father had died.

However she did not know and did ask, causing her mother to give her a sad smile then turn around and walk out of the room. When she returned she had three things with her, a used master ball, a fire stone, and a water stone. First she held up the fire stone and said, "I want you to have this, you never know when you might need it." After that she held up the water stone and said, "I want you to have this, while they might be opposites fire is not complete without water."

As Melissa put the two evolution stones in her four-year-old daughters hands she said, "you're father gave these to me, however I never had a use for them, you might in to future." As Raven glanced at the master ball and opened her mouth to ask what it was her mother put a finger up to silence her and said, "this is a master ball, the rarest and best of all the pokeballs. You're father got this when he was just a teenager, his goal was to catch Lugia with it. However, when he found Lugia and threw the pokeball at her he missed by a mile, sending the ball flying in to the water instead. As he ran to get the pokeball Lugia flew off, never to be seen by you're father again. He put was he assumed was a now-useless masterball in his pocket, however it wasn't until he returned home that he looked at it and realized that he had caught something. While this exited him he could not bare to open it, instead he stored in away in the corner of his room. One day he told me that when he had a son he would give it to them, as incentive to go catch Lugia. However, I am giving it to you. No one knows what is in this pokeball, however I hope that when the time for you're pokemon journey comes you will take this pokemon with you and treat it like you're best friend."

And so Raven put the pokeball and two evolutions stones away until the time came, safe in the jewelry box that she never used.

Time passed in the mountain, birthdays came and went, however Raven lived a normal life with nothing much really happening. That is, until her mother announced on her fourteenth birthday that they would be taking a year-long family road trip around Kanto. And so the family traveled, stopping at every town they could find in the Kanto regain.

When it was only one day until they boarded the boat back home and one month until Raven's fifteenth birthday it was a cold winter day, however that did not stop Raven from standing outside in the snow. After a while a flicker of movement in the snow caught her eye, seeming to beg Raven to come closed. And so she did just that, approaching the mound to find a tiny Meowth kitten. However there was something unusual about this kitten, it possessed a defect that was possible in any creature, even plants. This freezing Meowth kitten was lacking pigmentation, she was albino. With a kind smile, something that was not to common for Raven, she brought the freezing feline inside. She bonded with the kitten almost instantly and asked her mother of she could keep it, Melissa's only response was a grin and handing her daughter a pokeball.

Raven captured the albino Meowth and named her Snowflake, a rather common name that seemed to fit due to both how they met and the odd coloration of her fur.

The next day the family boarded the ship and began the journey back home. As she was wandering through the halls she saw a room seemingly abandoned room with its door partly open. Most people would not enter the room, most people would stop and think, however Raven was not most people. Besides, she thought, its probably just a vacant room that the staff have not cleaned yet. As that thought crossed her mind she was not watching where she was going, causing her to bump in to a table, a table with a note taped to it. With a frown Raven looked at the note, it read, 'I don't care who finds this, just take the rat, I don't want it.'

A scowl formed on her face at the vagueness of the note, however the vagueness was soon answered when she heard a loud, "Cyndaquil!" Raven whipped around to find a small Cyndaquil sitting on the bed behind her, it was a runt of a thing. It tilted its head at her before grinning and exclaiming, "Cyndicu!" With that Raven took a few steps back, only to have the fire mouse pokemon fallow her. With a slight scowl she exclaimed, "go, shoo!" Before turning around and heading back to her own room, not wanting to take a pokemon that someone could have abandoned for any number of reasons. However the Cyndaquil simply fallowed her, saying variations of its name and and then, as if trying to get her attention. And so, with a reluctant sigh, she turned around and caught her third pokemon who she dubbed Cyar.

Raven's family as well as the two pokemon she had obtained on her journey had decided to drive home in a car. However, said car broke down right around dusk, and right outside of Lenoilia of all places. Melissa said they would only be staying there for a few hours to get the car repaired, they would leave to get to a better town as soon as the repairs where complete.

She knew she shouldn't, it was very dangerous out there, but she couldn't help it! The urge was just to great... Raven wandered off when her mother was not looking, wandering the streets of Lenoilia. At first she was disappointed at how quiet it was, she would have expected more from a criminal hot-spot. However she soon discovered why when she walked past a seemingly abandoned building and heard loud cheers coming from it. With a slight smirk on her face Raven ran inside the building, relieved to find that no one was guarding the door. However, what she found appalled her. The people, criminals she assumed, where all circling some sort of arena. Inside that arena was a huge battle using pokemon. No not a pokemon battle, an all-out fight to the death. It seemed like they where doing some sort of sick event for there where about five that she could see, probably more, in that arena, all Growlithes and Houndours. Worst of all there where not even using pokemon attacks and the 'trainers' where not giving any commands, they where just lunging at each other and attacking with their jaws and razor-sharp teeth. This was not a pokemon battle, this was fighting for survival forced upon by humans. While she was appalled Raven could not help but wonder how they made the pokemon not use any real attacks. Probably some sick form of torture.

Raven watched in horror as the surviving dogs, or 'winners' where dragged away by chains that the trainers wrapped around their colors, leaving multiple dogs dead or horribly injured in the arena. A man walked out and signaled for the audience to fallow him, probably to another match. With a scowl Raven ducked behind a chair as people walked past her, only coming out once the others had left. With a frown she ran down to the arena, knowing it would not be long until someone came to clear the bodies. As the dogs had been dragged away something clicked in Raven's mind. They had not used any pokeballs. Maybe, just maybe....

Raven searched through the fallen canines, which she discovered was a lot more then five, searching for a single living one. They all appeared to have bled out, until she came across and young Houndour, basically just a pup, whos chest was faintly rising and falling. With a relieved sigh she pulled out a pokeball, a healball, and threw it at the Houndour. She held her breath for a moment only to hear a light click, signalling that the pokemon had been caught. With a grin she picked up the pokeball just as she heard footsteps coming through down the hall. She quickly whipped around and raced out of there, new pokemon in hand. When she came back to Melissa, having been missing for a grand total of one hour, she got a firm scolding. However, when she told her mother what she had seen, neglecting to mention how she had taken the Houndour that she had named Talia, her eyes widened in horror. After calling the cops and explaining the situation to them Melissa rushed her family in to the car as soon as it was repaired, leaving Lenoilia at three A.M.

They arrived home one week before Raven's birthday, which just happened to be the day she would start her pokemon journey. The day before she left she grabbed the fire stone, water stone, and master ball that her mother had given her eleven years ago. The first thing she did when she left her hometown was take out the master ball and throw it in the air, letting the captured pokemon out of the ball for the first time in many years. What came out of the ball was a Piplup, its youth maintained from never leaving the pokeball until now. And what comes after that, my friends, only the future can tell.

Other Notes: Albinism is actually a defect, it would be very hard for an albino animal to survive in the wild. And in case you are wondering I did get Talia's past from dogfights.

Everything is pretty good here. The only thing I would consider expanding pon would be her outfit; it's painfully short compared to the rest of the appearance. Perhaps describe the condition or size of her clothes (how short are her shorts?) and any accessories like a backpack to carry all of those items.

On a side note, and this isn't a terribly big deal, there is already a character named Raven running around Furoh. No need to change it, but some people may be particular to that sort of thing.

EDIT: Keep in mind that pokemon are not limited to four moves in this RP. Whatever they learn by leveling up thaty can keep forever. All other moves need mod approval.

One of the best ways to keep track of moves is to use a pokedex, like the one found on www.serebii.net

Ergo, the best way to figure when pokemon learn moves is by when they learn them in the games. The movesets your pokemon would most likely have would be as follows:

gia:

(Smokescreen at Level 6, Ember at 10)

Likewise, moves like Water Pledge and Blast Burn are Move Tutor moves, so will need to be requested. You CAN however, have these pokemon start with egg moves that are available to them via breeding. Water Pulse, likewise, is a TM move that Piplup does not naturally learn, and will need to be requested when the time comes.

Night Slash is not a move in Houndour or Houndoom's Repertoire, so I don't think he'll be able to learn it. The same goes for Snowflake. Meowth do not learn the move Encore,

Also, since the advent of multiple abilities, it might be wise to indicate which ability each pokemon has. For instance: Does Snowflake have Technician, Pickup or Unnerve?

The best example of any of these would be to check out some other profiles. Most of the characters keep their pokemon's movelists there.

Thanks, I am VERY new to pokemon and so far only know of the moves my pokemon know on my DS. :P

I'm changing it so for starting moves Snowflake has Scratch, Growl, Amnesia(egg move), and Technician as her ability.

Gia has pound, growl, hydro pump(egg move), and torrent as her ability.

Cyar has tackle, leer, crush claw(egg move), and blaze as his ability.

While Talia does not have howl(it says learned at level seven, she is level five) she does have Leer, Ember, Will-O-Wisp(egg move), and Flash Fire as her ability.

Since you've selected Hydro Pump as an egg move for gia, I think it's safe to say that she won't learn it at the regular level a Piplup does. Piplup learns it naturally at 43 (51 and 59 for her evolutions). The earliest this move is learned naturally by any pokemon is 35, so gia will be unable to use Hydro Pump until Level 35.

As for Cyar, I'll allow Crush Claw at Level 22, (again, the earliest that the move is learned naturally.)

Amnesia and Will-O-Wisp can be used immediately by Snowflake and Talia respectively.

Be sure to consult a game guide or online pokedex to see when your pokemon can learn moves. If it's confusing or difficult, feel free to PM me, and I'll go through with you precisely when all of the moves are learned. Please remember that unlike the games, you're not limited to only four moves. Therefore, a pokemon can have every move it has learned in its arsenal.
