People who rely on Reader's Digest for all of their information often times have low I.Q. scores. Seriously, as fun as magazines are, they aren't always the best source of information. Pick up a book and browse professional websites if you want to learn some new information, or even talk to someone who knows what they're talking about in the area. Lawyers are good people to go to if you want to learn more about politics, not Reader's Digest.

I was just giving a loose idea of how unintelegent most people are and how accurat statistics( double-checked and none from readers digest) say america is the stupidest country on average.
QUOTE
Age still matters no matter what you say, because it's a matter of experience and perception and many times younger people lack that- you can sometimes sense the lack of genuineness in their words because they actually sometimes do not know what they are talking about. Your typical ~*internet tough guy*~ tends to be one of the younger people, for reference.

It has to do with experience, not time on earth. Another acurate statistic(double-checked and not from reader's digest) also says america on average to be one of the laziest countrys. this means your average american does not get out much and does not have much experience. it is obviously predjudicial to say that and old person in the laziest country gets out more than a young person.

Most of the scientific mumbo jumbo I spout that doesn't come from a classroom comes from the Science/Discovery Channel. Sure, some sources of information are notoriously unreliable (Cracked, The Onion, Fox News) but good information can come from public sources that, from the outside, seem unprofessional. I will say that for information to truly be useful it can't just come from one source. Good information comes from consistency in your sources (plural).

You're saying thats prejudicial after calling America the laziest country. The irony is not lost in this conversation

Let's add to the fact that if you go anywhere on the internet, while we do have manchild 20+ year olds, there are a fair amount of 15 year olds that think they know what they're talking about but they have absolutely no clue how to properly deal with people and think being all tough or trying to be smart and shit is cool.

but a whimper.

You are absolutely right zerohundred, and do you know who most often gets the most experience? The people who has spent more time on earth. A 12, 13 year old child most often has jack shit in terms of experience, since the majority of their experience is going to school and playing outside. I know when I was twelve I wasn't interested in politics, gay marriage, abortion or religion. Mostly because it didn't concern me, I had no interest. Sure, around the age where I am now is when people start to acknowledge that, "oh shit, this is my future". Even still, I am positive that Raven can easily trump me in many conversations; because he has more experience. He has more experience because he is older. He had more time to collect the knowledge and experience he has now. I rest my case.

But there is no absolute that determines age = knowledge.
That's really the only point i have interest in making.

Of course there's no absolute with age = knowledge, there are more factors to it than that. I'm saying that age is a larger factor than most people give it credit for

And this is why I love the internet. You can choose to keep your age confidential. Nobody knows how old you are. Thus, nobody can discriminate you by your age. The only things they can use to judge you are your words and what you have said on the internet. It's great for people to be able to interact with each other without having trivial things like age and race getting in the way.
Don't get me wrong though, age is still important. Let's face it. Typically you would trust the words of an adult more than the words of a child. There are a few exceptional cases where younger people are more mature than adults, or when the adult is not even as mature as a child. There is a difference between maturity and intelligence, is what I guess I'm trying to say. Sure, there can be many intelligent children--in fact, there are a lot. But mature children? The numbers drastically fall.
In a way, immaturity is also an innocence. I admit, sometimes I envy little kids.

As for IQ tests. I never scored very high on those anyways.
