Okay, so I went and took out a Slime Slugma from the PC and clicked the drop-down menu. I was going to click on the Vs. Seeker when I must have mis-clicked. A box popped up and I reflexively hit the enter key. Unfortunately, it turns ou the Birthday Exchange option was still there, so now I have a placeholder egg that I don't think will go away since the egg exchange already happened.

The good part is that it still gave me points! The bad part is, now I might be stuck with only 5 party slots. I hope you're right and it's a second try, or Big Bidoof un-eggifies my Slime Slugma so I can have all my slots back.

...My Slime Slugma was just given back to me as an egg, and the placeholder egg is still there.

Okay, it's been established that if you put another egg in birthday exchange, it reverted back into an egg.
