At the moment of my typing this, I have 459 unopened ones just lying around. Thinking of doing Treasure Hunt of Mysteries again just to get more. It started off as a way to maximize my chance to get Monthly Trinkets, but then RNG kept giving me generic duplicates and I got a little discouraged.
Anyways, how many Poke Chests do you currently have on hand? --------------------  |

1901 unopened chests here. At first I tried to collect all trinkets, but I stopped caring at some point and now I only open the daily chest while there's seasonal trinkets around.

I really just have them around for when there's Trinket tasks in the Scavenger Hunt -------------------- Bulbasaur, Forever Alone (click to show)  You see a robber in your house ready to steal all your stuff. 60% would silently call the police for help. 25% would let them go. 15% would grab the nearest weapon and beat the living day lights out of the robber. I've yet to collect more than 150-200 pokechests at hand, can't resist using Chance Power at that point. Plus, being ~ 3-4 trinkets away from Curio Collector doesn't help. --------------------  |

I have 30 Pokechests right now.
Has everyone forgotten that Sky Gifts are a thing? I think it's fun to give them out, it spreads some goodwill on the site because people can get items that are hard to come by. (Vitamins, Heart Sweets, Honey, Credits) You can even send as many as you want to a mutual PalPad friend after you send out 5 random ones. And you can send that friend as many as you want, I once opened 19 Sky Gifts in a row. I'm a lightweight sitting at a meager 342 compared to the rest of you!
I only open trinket chests on holiday months (and even then only one chest) and during scavenger hunts. Trinkets have gotten extremely frustrating for me, so I've given up trying to collect them actively. --------------------  of the Azurite Affinity |

I actually have a rather strange strategy for Poke Chests - I wait until the last day of the month and activate Chance Power close to reset and attempt to open every single one within the 5 minute timeframe. It feels the most efficient, barring not meeting the time limit. It's also just satisfying to my brain to do it that way - this is also why I wait for all the eggs in my party to reach maximum maturity before hatching them all at once.

You could always make Sky Gifts. Join the Global Postal Group.
I know it's irritating that they won't let you make gifts out of higher than Level 4, but your friends will appreciate them. So will random people. |
