About an hour ago my party was listed as 'full' even when I only had 5 pokemon/eggs. I've tried closing and reopening and clearing my cache, but nothing has worked. What can I do to make my party limit reset back to 6?

It's possible you're either on an Exploration or you put a pokemon into the exchange.
Both of those limit your Party to 5, I think. It's because you put a Pokemon into the Exchange. It limits you to 5 so you have space for the egg from the Exchange.
