Gengar
 Standard Gengar @ Life Orb / Wide Lens Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP Nature: Timid - Hypnosis - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast The most common Gengar moveset you will see its an easy switch in with 4 immunitys and 4x resistance to Bug and Poison attacks this also makes a good lead. Some people prefer Wide Lens over Life Orb for better accuracy with Hypnosis and Focus Blast. Focus Sash is an alternative choice if you are leading off. Scarf Gar Gengar @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 214 Spe / 44 HP Nature: Modest - Hidden Power Ice - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast Ok it may seem weird using a Choice Scarf on a very speedy Pokemon such as Gengar, but it has a lot of advanatges. This Gengar has the ability to take out a lot of common leads in one hit (Defense Tyranitars will surive Focus Blast). Specs Gar Gengar @ Choice Specs Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP Nature: Timid - Hidden Power Ice - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast Trades off masive speed for a nice 1.5 Special Attack boost this thing won't be outrunning Choice Scarf Garchomp, but it can't afford to switch in safely. Focus Blast will now 2HKO Blissey without Special Defense EVs if you want to you can use Explosion over Hidden Power Ice for some nice kills on weakend Pokemon. Mixed Attacker Gengar @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 216 Spe / 156 SpA / 136 Atk Nature: Hasty - Focus Punch / Focus Blast - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Explosion Mixed Attacker set Explosion is guaranteed to KO Bliss not many Pokemon can switch in safely on this moveset. McGar Gengar @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 Spe / 144 Atk / 124 SpA Nature: Naughty - Focus Punch - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Substitute Originated in the 3rd generation by a person named McGraw credit goes to maddog for the EV Spread. This is good at breaking down walls such as Skarmory, Blissey, and Cresselia. After Blissey is out you will have at least one free turn to do something behind your Substitute. Double Status Gengar @ Leftovers / Wide Lens Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 Spe / 150 SpA / 108 HP Nature: Timid - Hypnosis - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt / Focus Blast - Will-O-Wisp Great at statusing your opponent's Pokemon put them to sleep than burn them as they switch out. Use Wide Lens if you are worried about accuracy. Counter Sash Gengar @ Focus Sash Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk - Hypnosis - Shadow Ball - Explosion / Destiny Bond - Counter This is probally the hardest moveset to pull off, but the payoffs are amazing. This should ONLY be used as a lead so Stealth Rock or Spikes do not ruin this, beware Sandstorm and Hail can mess this up. Ok how this works is you use Counter on an obivous physical attacker that would KO you, so by hanging on to your Focus Sash you already made it 6,5. Now use Hypnosis on there next Pokemon, and as they switch out you can use Explosion / Destiny Bond and now its 6,4. Perish Trapper Gengar @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 6 Def - Hypnosis - Mean Look - Perish Song - Protect / Substitute OHKO Moves are usually banned, so this is your best option for immitating that. Gengar is the fastest user of Mean Look and Perish Song which is cool. Ok you start off by using Hypnosis or Mean Look on your opponent's Pokemon, than you use Perish Song and now stall out with Protect or Substitute. Credit goes to maddog for thinking of this moveset. ChetGar Gengar @ Expert Belt Ability: Levitate EVs: 152 SpA / 124 HP / 100 SpD / 96 Spe / 36 Atk Nature: Lonely - Hypnosis / Thunderbolt - Focus Punch - Shadow Ball - Substitute With this spread it ensures the Substitute to survive a 185 Special Attack Ice Beam from Blissey, and can easily 2HKO it back with Focus Punch. Shadow ball is for the Standard Cresselia which 2HKOs. The speed EVs gives you 280 speed. Without thunderbolt gengar will be walled by Skarmory, but who will switch Skarmory into Gengar anyway, so Hypnosis will probally work better.With some good prediction this set can catch many people of guard. Credit goes to Chieltjuh for comming up with this moveset. Sucker Punch Gengar @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 236 Spe / 198 SpA / 76 Atk Nature: Hasty / Naive - Sucker Punch - Hidden Power Ice / Focus Blast - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball It may seem weird using a move with less than 100 base power and counting in the fact Gengar has a base 60 Attack stat, but Sucker Punch can actually do some nice damage. Lets say Weavile switchs in on your Focus Blast and it happens to be holding a Focus Sash and Weavile can KO you with Night Slash / Pursuit, but Sucker Punch strikes first if your opponent chooses to attack so that 1 HP Weavile is done. Sucker Punch is here to finish off nice weakend opponents such as Alakazam, other Gengar, Starmie, Azelf, and a few others. Credit goes to Ulttimaa for this moveset. Other Options Sludge Bomb will hurt Celebi more than Shadow Ball, but isn't really a great option due to the fact it has poor type coverge. Psychic will hurt Fighting-type Pokemon with some nice damage, but they won't like taking STABed Shadow Balls anyway. If you want to do some nice damage on Swampert on Rhyperior there is always Energy Ball. If you want to damage the Steel / Psychic-type Pokemon more there is always Hidden Power Fire. Taunt is a weird option, but it will pervent Blissey from statusing you so you can get a free turn against her to switch in another Pokemon. Counters A Pokemon with Pursuit ruins most Gengar so Tyranitar and Weavile can OHKO with Pursuit, even if Gengar stays in, beware of Hypnosis, Focus Blast, and Will-O-Wisp. Spiritomb does a pretty nice job against Gengar with a STABed Pursuit and Sucker Punch, Gengar should also watch out for Pokemon that are not seen as often such as Drapion and Toxicroak. Metagross can KO it with Meteor Mash or Pursuit, but can get 2HKOed by Shadow Ball or Focus Blast and won't like getting burned either. Blissey can come in usually on most sets and take down Gengar with Ice Beam or any other Special Attack, Gengar will not like being paralyzied by Thunder Wave as well. Snorlax makes an execellent counter, and even better as a Rest Talker and can punish Gengar with Pursuit, just make sure to be clear of Gengar's with physical attacks such as Focus Punch and Explosion. Heatran can come in on about anything that Gengar has expect a Fighting-type attack and KO it with Fire Blast and Heatran loves the boost from Will-O-Wisp as well. Jirachi and Bronzong don't have to much trouble with Gengar, although a burn can be annoying although Rest Talking can fix that. -------------------- [::[__]::]

There are a bunch of places where you forgot a period or a comma. SpecsGar and ScarfGar could be merged and named ChoiceGar, then you could just note the EV change. Overall, I think a few of the sets could be taken out, as they function the same way (ex. Sucker Punch@Choice Scarf).

Most people switch after a Hypnosis making Dream eater and Nightmare an oppertunity for a free switch. Also Curse is never used since after losing half hp, the user could just switch. As for skill swap, why would you want to get rid of that awesome ground immunity. People almost always switch after hypnosis making those two moves a waste. Genger would die after setting up curse and why make yourself vunerable to earthquake? Gengar doesn't have the defences to spread status, it would work better on mismagius or dusknoir and even then never use 4 status moves especially not curse or attract. Base 90's outspeed this with a +speed nature using 162 EVs, that is just appaling, you have ruined Gengar's awesome speed and one of the things that make it great.
