I actually hope Giovanni is his dad. That would be really cool. I mean, then suddenly Jessie, James and Meowth would have respect for him, and did Ash ever met Giovanni? If they think up a new character which is Ash's dad, the episode will probably be something like Ash & co are just walking, see a house and there's his father. And then they battle and promise each other to meet again (which they never will. what ever happened to the promise to Pidgeot?!).

It would be lame if Giovanni turns out to be Ash's dad. Been there done that in Star Wars. I think it would be funny if Ash finally meets his dad in an episode and doesn't recognize him just as he was clueless when he was talking to Brock's dad in Pewter City and couldn't make the connection.
I also would want Misty to be there to witness this because she would so slap Ash upside his head and yell, "HE'S YOUR FATHER, YOU IDIOT!" Gee, I miss Misty.

If Giovanni is Ash's father, Silver is his brother, it seems logical that you ? Not me. Already, we learn in the Japanese version of the anime that Ash's father is blind (at least in the Japanese version), and after me, Giovanni is far from being blind, or there is great lenses... In short, there is not really far fetch.

Here's What I think:
Ash's dad was a scientist on a spacestation called "Peace", where people were trying to make, well peace, with an advanced alien race made out of electromagnetic waves, oh wait, wrong anime, this is Pokemon, not Ryusei no Rockman (it's a Megaman anime if you don't know) Or how about if Ash somehow met Darth Vader: Ash, I am your father NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Or maybe Ash's father really IS Giovanni, which leads to yet another question, who are Mistys parents Now since Silver does not exist in rthe anime, there is Paul, who is very similar, so Paul may as well be Silvers anime counterpart, but Paul has a brother, but is Paul the son of Giovanni..... Ya I think Giovanni is Ash's dad. Cuz (as metioned before) he never sees him. closest he came was at Giovanni's gym. but (becuz of mewtwo) he left jessie, james, and meowth in charge.

To be honest, I think Ash is related to Riley. I mean Ash looked exactly like Sir Aaron, which is probably his ancestor, so his dad is either the current Pokemon League Champion or the former Pokemon League Champion. Most likely current.

I've heard weird rumors that Ash's dad was Ho-oh, since it is seen by Ash so often when he goes to begin a new journey, like it's watching out for him.
I personally don't think that's it, nor do I think Professor Oak is Ash's dad. I also don't think it's Giovanni, because that's too creepy. Perhaps his father left on a fantastic Pokemon journey as well and just never returned. So my best bet is he's lost as hell out there somewhere, or he's dead. --------------------   ~I claim Bayleef~ |
