I hope you enjoy the rebooted and Upgraded version of Guardians Of The Abyss!

Little piece of information:
- There are 17 factions that each have one Ithrill, these are the main characters. I'll allow 16 Ithrill SU's, myself claiming the remaining (AKA 17th) Faction for my own Ithrill SU (All be warned! ;p).
- When all Ithrills are taken or you want to join but don't have much spare time, you can take a small side character. Side characters aren't bound to the one faction-rule, and therefore can chose every faction.
- By the amount of your postings, I'll determine whether you are 'promoted' from a small character to a medium character. Medium characters can be seen as a second Ithrill of a certain faction, yet again one Medium per faction. (This will be very exceptional)
- New and Unique throughout this Rp-forum: I will keep a weekly report of what happened during the RP so others might be able to join in the middle of an Rp by just reading that post!

Rules:
1. GTS+ rules
2. This RP will contain violence,swearing and killing, therefore this: RPG 16+ (Younger? If you aren't shocked by violence you can join too, at own risk)
3. Romance is allowed, usual blabla => don't go overboard
4. When read this, put "Why, oh Why" in your post
5. Only one character per person!
6. No oneliners! Be detailed in your posts (No inspiration? Describe the scenary if you must)
7. There are a certain amount of main characters, so first come first serve
8. If your SU isn't correct, I'm allowed to ask you to change it
9. To avoid trouble: put "to Rp or not to Rp" in your post and ignore the last rule! I will and shall ignore any post with a shedinja in it, so don't be wondering why...
10. When reserving, put your preffered faction in your reservation! This will exclude mistakes and waisted time by making the wrong SU.
11. If one of the factions is taken, you have to chose another! At the border of 16 SU's the main character SU is closed, myself taking the remaining faction as my own! You can however sign up for the smaller characters.
12. There are other small cities and towns not spoken of in the list
13. I alone control all members of the Guardians League, unless I specificaly asked to RP one yourself. Other NPC's are free to be RP'ed as.
14. If you would sign up if the accepted post isn't editted and you seem to be the 17th, I might give you bigger role as a medium character.
15. I will post when the SU limit is reached
16. NO bunnying, Godmodding,... and No killing an other RP'ers character without his/her permission

I actually find this rp interesting, even though I think I only got half of the history xD I'm going to half to re-read it a few times, just to make sure I understand

Appearance: Starting from the top Silver has long silver hair that is either put up in a ponytail or its half up and the rest of her hair hangs over her shoulders or down her back. She wears a purple silk outfit that as silver lining around the edges and loose sleeves around her wrists, on her shirt there is a weird picture of a weird flame that seems to be orange, red and yellow. Around the flame there is small pictures of wing creatures. Her pants are also purple with silver lining and seem to be more loose around her feet, and wrinkled a bit. Her shoes are basic but are seem to be used for traveling and also seem to be made from very light material. Her face is simple, and her eyes are a light blue color but under certain conditions(which will be explained a bit later in the sign up) her eyes have been know to change from light blue to purple and in rare cases silver. Her bangs are usually brushed behind her ears and a clip keeps them there. Around her neck there is a necklace that seems to have a small container and in that container seems to be a weird flickering flame. Around her whole outfit she wears a long coat like cape with a hood that hangs over her head most of the time unless she of course takes it off.

Personality: Calm and sometimes collective, Silver usually spends time by herself so her social skills are at a minimum even when there was people who wanted to hang out with her. If you ever pay attention to her she usually spends her time more reading books than even trying to talk to other people. Even though she is considered a quiet loner of a person, she walks around with hidden confidence but at the same time she makes sure that she doesn't become over confident with any task or situation she is in. When faced with a situation she stays back and tries to look at the big picture before taking action to make sure nothing unexpected happens and that she doesn't put herself in too much danger. Even when she is calm and confident there is also a small ounce of fear and uncertainty that runs through her because of past experiences and situations she has been in. In some extreme cases if she is backed up against the wall that fear and uncertainty will show on the surface and when it does she doesn't know how to react to it. When it comes to brains and thinking Silver is one that can adapted normally and isn't afraid of too much change, she also holds her own when it comes to figuring out problems. When it comes to angry and rage Silver badly reaches that level because she keeps in mind that anger and yelling sometimes never solves anything but only makes it worst.

Bio: Growing up in a town Silver has never been one to stand out from the crowd, she has always wanted to be hidden even when it was her time to shine. When she was a young child her parents for some unknown reason left home and never returned. Silver was only 11 when this happened and after a few days wandered to a neighbors home out of fear and he came to adopted her after not being able to locate her parents, for this reason Silver has no knowledge of her last name since her parents themselves were seldom out and about talking with others and she has no knowledge of who she really is. Some people actually were uncertain of Silver's family because they kept to themselves most of the time and always had their reasons for being the way they are. As time went by Silver grew and at the age of 12 she started to journey out farther for exploration since she became fascinated with the world around her. Though many worried because of her less social abilities and lack of friends none approached her to find out why. It wasn't until a year later at the age of 13 Silver had a fateful encounter with something that would change her life. It was a stormy night and Silver ends up too far from home lost in the nearby woods, to escape the pounding rain Silver sought refuge under a nearby tree to try to keep dry, it was there that she first heard a noise that came from within the tree. Slowly turning around she noticed that the tree was hallowed out and that a faint light was coming from within a large whole in the bark. Peeking in slowly she looked at the bottom and saw a dratini curled up in a small ball. Within that small moment in Silver's eyes a small spark seemed to emerge and the dratini lifted up its head and the same spark seem to be connected, feeling like the dratini was special she slowly picked up out of the tree and placed it next to her. It wasn't long after that where the neighbor who adopted them both finally found Silver but when he found her he was astonished to see that she was fast asleep with her arms around a dratini and the dratini was next to her in a way to keep her warm. It was then that the two who were destined to meet first made their own friendship spark when both needed each other to keep warm.

Years later at the age of 15, Silver and her friend the dratini had been together since her adopted father knew that they should always be together and a new ability started to surface between the two. She was trying to teach her dratini a move since from all the reading she has done, had some knowledge that a dragon pokemon light dratini could grow with great potential. It was during one of these practices that dratini learned a move called Dragonbreath, to Silver's delight it was a move that seemed powerful even though it came from a pokemon like dratini, it was then that Silver wished that she could somehow be able to train right beside dratini to be able to help it accomplish more. During that moment of strong wishes a flare ignited within Silver's hands this flare grew and before Silver knew it a attack flew from her hands onto a home-made target, at first this surprised her and also made her feel a bit sick. She tried again but nothing happened, her dratini looking as much shocked as she was tilted its head and she ran back to her house to find out what happened. This event lead to Silver's study of Kage, she learned as much as she could even though there wasn't much to read about because Kage varied with each person since each person is different. Between the ages of 16-19 Silver spent her times mostly with her Dratini trying to practice this new ability of hers as she traveled and also trying to find out what her limit could be. Over the years she has noticed that her limit seems to get bigger as she gets strong but she has also learned that the strong the attack the more it takes out of her. As she has travel she has come across many situations that have been both dangerous and threatening which has left its scars on her and can also influence on how she has acted(these situations will be known if needed in the rp, to explain the way she reacts to something, or her attitude, ect.). Just recently the Dratini that Silver had come to know and loved evolved into a dragonair and a new potential from that evolution opened up new possibilities for both Silver and the Dragonair.

Other: One thing that wasn't mention above is the connection between Nova and Silver, it seems when Silver uses Kage her eyes turn a purple color no one knows why she don't even know why. Nova also seems to at times be able to communicate with Silver through the bead on its neck, this however only started when Nova evolved from a Dratini to a Dragonair. At times when Silver is in a good amount of distress her eyes would turn a silver color and the reason for this is also unknown to Silver but she has knowledge of it happened due to the various situations she has been put in in her travels .

@ Quo: I didn't think there was a mage-type pokémon... :p well, I'd suggest making you the normal faction Ithrill(delcatty is a normal type), you're appearance should be explained too, just tell what she's wearing on the picture, also nobody can start with a pokémon higher than lvl 30 (if it evolution chains aren't counted on so you could have a lvl 5 hydragon for example) the bio is uhm... short but that is not point of concern xp

furthermore it looks fine by me, I'll put you on the edit part (accepted but editing) and put your SU as accepted :p



=> other thing: considering the pokémon moves, you can put ALL the moves it has once known in it. Just make those your pokémon currently knows in bold and your favorite move (1 max) in italics.

the favorite move is the one your character likes to use or uses the most.

+ the pokémon evolutions aren't level-based, you can have a lvl 6 Hydreigon if you want for example

thank you for accepting my character

and since you did clear up now about the pokemon evolution not matching the levels, I am going to change a few things in my character sign up since I didn't know that and just to be safe I choose something within reason. So I'm going to change my pokemon to Dragonair since that really is my favorite out of the evolution line, and with that change I need to change a few things within my character's bio and the other after the pokemon sign up.

okay i updated my sign up, I didn't change much, I just changed the pokemon to Dragonair, added one more line to the bio and added a bit more to the other because of the change to the pokemon

Appearance: Rani is... well, pretty wouldn't be quite right. Let's go for handsome instead. She's slim and possessed of very good skin in an Asiatic melanin configuration, though it's often got quite a bit of blood and scar tissue marring it. Like most of her people, she might be tiny, but she carries with her an air of dangerously wiry strength. That could be to do with the fact that she carries a massive great knife at all times, forged in the traditional manner by the tiny little men in the high mountains that fear nothing and seem to be nearly indestructible. From the way she carries herself and the hard-wearing quilted leather-and-mail hauberk that forms the traditional warrior garb, it's pretty evident that she knows her way around the weapon, also helped by a wiry but powerful musculature that comes from passing the warrior's initiation rites in her village (which includes, among other things, completing a doko race - one in which one carries a 75kg boulder over a distance of 4.2 kilometres over mountainous terrain in the depths of winter - in under 18 minutes) and constant practice with the thompyung kukharyung, a knife-and-shield-based martial art adapted from old Army training manuals and the ancient fighting arts of the tindulkaryi, the Little Mountain Masters.

As far as clothing goes, she doesn't wear a lot of layers outside the mountains of her home, but she is always to be found in her armour as a matter of general principle. It's topped off with the traditional armoured hat of the mountain people; a squidgy, almost beret-like affair hardened with steel chainmail in between layer after layer of fleece and felt. It has ear flaps, gold tassels, and a deserved reputation as the most monstrously ugly piece of headgear you can get without deciding to wear freshly-deceased roadkill. Underneath that is close-cropped, jet-black hair and a striking, angular face with razor-sharp cheekbones and a near permanent look of mild sarcasm thanks to a scar curving up from the side of her mouth sustained in a bizarre gardening accident. The quilted-leather jerkin over her chainmail is dark green with gold trim, the colours of her village in the annual doko championships, and she wears severely cut leather-reinforced trousers - again, lined with yak fleece. As such, down in the warm embrace of the city, such garments tend to whiff a bit, to the point where ladies of high breeding have been known to lose consciousness from the other side of the street (which for obvious reasons becomes a rather crowded place in her vicinity). Despite this, she's always ready with a slightly gap-toothed smile and a wave for her friends. Then there is the matter of jewels.

People who dedicate their lives to the ways of the warrior are expressly forbidden from wearing rings, a tradition that evolved from sheer practicality (rings catch in stuff). Instead, they carry lacquered wooden bucklers in their home village's colours and decorate them with intricate geometric patterns and attach long vellum tapers inscribed with their deeds in battle. The patterns also functioned as a kind of coat of arms, and as such the shields of old heroes are kept in family reliquaries. These days, nobody really breaks out their shields except for ceremonial occasions, but Rani keeps hers securely attached to her right arm at all times. It, too, smells faintly of sweat and yak. Everything smells faintly of sweat and yak if Rani spends enough time around it. This sort of thing could make a girl concerned with popularity weep an ocean every day, as the old mountain saying goes, but Rani is completely indifferent to such things. She's determined to be a great Ithrill and thereafter a legendary warrior, fighting alongside Genesect and making her people proud.

Personality: If one was forced to sum up Rani Thebasammang in a single world, that word would be "anachronistic". She seems to have been born about five hundred years too late, concerned as she is with chivalry, noble behaviour, martial prowess and the old traditions of the mountains. The uncharitable might suggest a similarly medieval attitude to personal hygiene, but they'd be wrong; she herself is scrupulously clean, it's just that yak fleece is warming stuff and the lowlands (if you grow up in the mountains, everywhere is lowlands) get absolutely baking hot. And you don't wash your hat. Ever. At least, not the kharkhasyam (the aforementioned horrible beret thingy). They're passed down to each head of the family and tradition has it that if you washed it, it would send the spirits of your ancestors into the realm of the dead from which they can never reincarnate. To someone who believes devoutly in Kirant, the ancient shamanism-plus-ancestor-veneration religion of the mountain people, such a thing is absolute anathema.

Rani is a very cheerful young woman, with a broad smile ready to flash into existence at a moment's notice. She seems to have a spirit three sizes to big for her slender little frame, apparently having shanghaied it from a hearty, backslapping barbarian king from a fantasy novel, all boisterous laughter and bawdy drinking songs. Another thing she shares with barbarian kings is an eye for the ladies, preferably tall and strong. She prefers her men that way too, though exceptions can be made in her eyes for particularly lissom and effeminate types, and this has led to several encounters (usually after several large bowls of phung, the traditional fermented-yak-yoghurt drink that is banned in three factional fiefdoms and used as a chemical defoliant in a further twelve) with young men and hard women back in the mountains. She had a particular thing for the son of her village's wise woman, who worked as a blacksmith and thus had arm muscles you could moor an ocean-going liner with despite being completely hairless in all other regard since birth. She's an easy talker who can insinuate her way into any crowd that can put up with eau de yak, and due to a combination of handsome features and a preternatural talent for flirting she's generally quite successful when out on the pull (again, ability to put up with the yak smell notwithstanding).

In combat, however, it's a different story. Nearly two decades of training herself to be worthy of Genesect has left her with an incredible aptitude for her chosen martial art and (though she's been developing it for a mere six years) her abilities with kage are coming on leaps and bounds, though she has had to be hospitalised on several occasions for near-fatal energy draining. Her partnership with San is almost balletic, though she lacks sufficient experience with kage usage for them to be totally unstoppable. Nevertheless, they get along just famously, though the more serious and considered Pokémon occasionally despairs of her human friend. The word 'faceclaw' is bandied about a lot.

Bio:-

"If a man says he does not fear death, he is either lying or a Khassari." -- Steel Guardian whose name was lost in the mists of time.

The Khassari are an ancient people who inhabit the Vanagunga Mountains, one of the largest mountain ranges outside of the Rock fiefdom. They live in villages perched precariously on the sides of mountains, accompanied mostly by snow, rocks, and the omnipresent small herds of Tauros and yaks, which are generally guarded by battle-trained Ledians, Durants and Venomoths. Their culture is complex and revolves around a co-operative ethos, but people who confuse that for weakness generally found themselves facing the business end of a kukharyat, a forward-curved longknife that a trained warrior can use to cut through granite thanks to the incredible qualities of the local steelmaking process (to the eternal consternation of the Steel faction's master smiths). Khassari shongong steel is nearly ubiquitous, for this high up in the mountains everything's looking for its next meal, and they're not fussy about eating your herd or your head. This at least explains how the horrible traditional hats came about.

The local religion of Kirant is an ever-present part of life in the Vanagungas, and every village has a shaman and wise woman who administer to the sick and console the mourning and do all the little jobs for people that they can't or won't do themselves. It was expected that Rani would be like this, since her mother was one of the travelling shamanesses who wander that part of the world, but she ended up taking after her father, a student of history and thompyung kukharyung in the little village of Ayogorkhali. From an early age, she grew up listening to stories about the Guardians and their exploits, and it instilled in her a desperate need to become an Ithrill and prepare herself for life as a true warrior of legend. She threw herself into physical labour, spending all her spare time learning her martial art from the village's chongyo, which roughly translates as "way-pointer" and is a mid-ranking teacher in the art form. When she was thirteen, she achieved the grade of chongyo herself and found herself learning from the masters in the monastery at Shungan Aichi in the next valley, a trip of twenty miles over decidedly inhospitable countryside. She made friends there and received the traditional warrior's armour when she was sixteen that symbolised her right to be called prandalkaryi, or neophyte master (there had been countless younger ones than her in history, including one twelve-year-old who grew up to be a rather famous hero, but none of them had been girls). It was then she took part in and won her first inter-village doko race, in full battle armour and carrying her buckler as well as the rocks, and her beloved father frequently opined that she was vonshong nangboing - the term means great war hero but literally translates as "one whom, if pushed off the top of a mountain, will bounce."

The time came when, once she'd turned seventeen, she was tasked with finding her Pokémon partner. This was a much bigger deal for her than for the other warriors, since her father had never had any Pokémon in his house and the Khassari have a lot of cultural taboos about what you can and can't do with someone else's Pokémon, so the upshot of it was that this was going to be her first ever Pokémon companion. And she knew exactly what she wanted.

One of the tenets of Kirant is of reincarnation, and people's personalities and lifestyles are reflected in their resultant form. For instance, a quick-thinking but roguish type would be reincarnated as a Meowth or Purrloin, a scrappy young man who died too soon as a Ledyba or Combee, and there's a folk tale about an extraordinarily obese village elder whose funeral party was gatecrashed by a Snorlax that ate pretty much everything in sight. There was one Pokémon, though, that captured the imagination of young warriors. They lived in a colony that the elders called Ningbungyen Vankyungat, the Monastery of Infinite Ways. Their name in Khassari is saching tindulkurungi, which translates as "risen masters". To the rest of the world, they're known by a simpler name.

Scizor.

In the Vanagunga mountains there are two things of note. First are the easily accessible seams of iron, copper and other metals that form the basis of no small amount of wealth for the traders and craftsmen of the region. Second, there is a small but stable population of Scythers and Scizors that hunt in the grass forests of Mount Wingongyu, whose name means Warrior's Rest. Many prospective warriors went there to gain their companions, but almost none returned with the desired companion, usually getting another Bug-type of some kind. There were scrolls, though, that told of a secret to those who could decipher the riddle.

"Bring forth a name, and they shall answer"

Rani spent months thinking about it before she realised with a snap of her fingers. It is traditional to return from the wilderness with one's companion before one turns eighteen, so she had two weeks to find the thompyung shield, steel-lamé ceremonial robe and shimbong cork-and-bronze five-tiered court hat with built-in snowglare visor of a deceased tindulkaryi, make a round trip of three hundred miles to the holy mountain and back, and return with the reincarnated spirit of a grand master. She broke into the museum in her monastery (apologising the next morning for the sacrilege and assuring the ancestors that she knew what she was doing), ran the equivalent of five marathons in eleven days over terrain that wasn't so much inhospitable as outright genocidal, got to the mountain, laid the robe and hat in front of her, and sank into an exhausted, nightmare-filled sleep.

She awoke after two days to the sound of a strange buzzing noise. Once she sat up and rubbed her eyes, she saw a Scyther holding the shimbong hat in its pincers. It then delicately placed the hat upon its head. Rani watched in frozen speechlessness as the Scyther then attempted to put on the neatly-folded robe. Eventually, she got up and gently helped the Pokémon to put it on. Once finished, it looked completely ridiculous, as if the Scyther in question had decided to impersonate a small tent with a chimney stack growing from its head, and Rani couldn't help bursting out laughing at the sight of it. The Scyther, surprisingly, laughed too. Then it picked up the thompyung buckler, or rather attempted to - a complete lack of opposable thumbs made the task significantly harder for it. Her laughter dying down and a sense of warm companionship entering her breast, Rani strapped the buckler to the Scyther's arm, stepped back, and bowed out of sheer reflex.

The flare of white light made her look up, and up, and into the face of a female Scizor, bearing the shield of an ancient female master called Sanjuni Kalaripayyatu and the snowglare visor from the shimbong hat. Then she spoke.

"You have done well, young human. Take my arm and guide me to your hive."

It was spoken in the language of Naegoka, since these days it was the lingua franca of the Vanagungas, and it was all Rani could do not to squee there and then. They arrived back at the village on the stroke of midnight, touching down in front of the visiting panel of tindulkari. They were there to pronounce the returning acolytes warriors in full, but none had expected the Thebasammang girl to show up with a saching tindulkungi at her side. In hushed tones and the rustle of ancient-looking Tauros-vellum scrolls, the still-living tindulkaryi deliberated on what this meant. Finally, they had their answer.

"It had been many years since this auspicious event last occurred," said the smallest and most senior Little Master, a man with a demeanour of Zen contentment and a face like a happy walnut. "You may not know who the last warrior to be graced with the companionship of a risen master. You may, though, have heard of his deeds. He was the defender of the Bug fiefdom when the most ferocious beasts of the Abyss attacked. He fought and fought until the curve of his blade had worn into straightness from cutting! The Taker of a Thousand Demon Heads! Defender of Justice! He who was Tied by Bond to the most holy Genesect! Shinjang Ikarokobungyi, the Perfect Master of the Soul Machine Style, returns in spirit, and Sanjuni Kalaripayyatu, Beloved Master of the Eighteen Open Blossoms Style, returns in flesh! Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, the Ithrill walks among us!"

Two days later, Rani awoke with a thunderous hangover, a Scizor looking down at her with an expression bordering on the intolerably smug, and no less than four young ladies of good character and standing in the village and surrounding areas. Also, her bottom felt like she'd just passed a Tauros through it, but in a good way. Realising what had happened, she made a stealthy exit and took the wagon trail down to the lowlands and the capital Bug city of Konzu. It took her less time than she thought to get there, since trains were faster even than Sanjuni (who insisted on being called San, since they were to be friends and friends among humans had abbreviated names to call each other by), and from there they went to Lyrdegnae to train as Ithrill and partner, apprentice and master, but most importantly as friends.

And thus did all of Rani Thebasammang's dreams come true.

Other: San is not, in fact, the reincarnation of a master martial artist. Scizors are simply excellent fighters that specialise in speed, efficiency and finesse in a way rather reminiscent of martial art's economy of motion. The Scizors of the mountain learned human speech from a variety of sources, mostly traders, shamans and potential warriors, and since they live a long time they have time to get a decent grasp of both Khassari and Naegokan. From those sources, they gained knowledge of the martial traditions and culture of the Khassari people, which only added to the potency of the myth. While Scythers of the area prefer to mine for metal themselves and coat themselves in metal dust to evolve that way, they appreciate gifts of metal cloaking and will happily use them instead. They feel obliged to the person that helped them to become such a powerful Pokémon so quickly, and thus tend to stick around with the trainer in question. That so many of the previous ones who figured out the trick turned out to be Ithrills is largely a case of self-fulfilling prophecy; they had to be breathtakingly good trainers to pull off something like that, and people who can do that will be drawn to the tales of legendary Guardians who fought alongside Genesect with their risen master giving them unlimitable power.

Oh, and before I forget: Why oh why, to RP or not to RP? (Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous charries, or take arms against a sea of Suethors, and by opposing hate them...)

I've come to this topic a couple times now, as well as reread the first post, and I think I'd like to actually join. It seemed like an interesting Role Play, so now I'm in the process of creating Alder Reid, an Ithril of the Latios (Flying) Fraction.

Appearance: Grey stands 5"7' tall and has darkened long blue spiky hair he keeps in a luxraytail, A regular ponytail that has a bright yellow star at the end. He wears a tight-fitting blue t-shirt and a darkblue longsleeved pullover with goldish-yellow straps, a pair of dark jeans and some blue high tops. His eyes have a dark green color but when using his Kage, Grey's eyes turn a glooming yellow, the same color as his luxray's eyes have. This only happens when he uses Luxrays hidden ability to search for a prey by piercing through everything with it's gaze. He can see through any kind of material when tapping into this secret move with his Kage.

Personality: Grey is the quiet type that rather slacks off all day then work like the rest of his family. Being the son of the best electrician in the western parts of Naegoka, he is supposed to help out in the family business, he however refuses, being the rebelious type. He acts like nothing is interesting, this is just a cover however. Grey wants to meet someone he can rival with in order to improve himself. He is very skilled at the electrical moveset, especialy Thunder Wave. He uses this technique often to paralyze people when he thinks they're annoying and few were able to withstand the strong jolt that rushes through them when he snaps his fingers. Grey is laidback, relaxed and doesn't mind a fuss about stupid things but will stand and fight for righteous causes and his friends.

Bio: Grey was born as an exceptional electric user, making his parents think he was an Ithrill, the first one after the Great War five centuries ago. They didn't mention his birthright to anyone, not even his family and raised him as every other 'normal' child in the city. Though his parents didn't want to let his ability go to waist so they made him help out in the shop from time to time in order to unfold his skills. Thus as a little kid Grey helped out in his parents shop, helping some customers who's electronical devices didn't work anymore. Many saw him as the cute boy of the electrostore who knew a handy trick and didn't recognise him as a talented child.

During school his friends always asked him to show them his cool trick and little Grey just obliged, afraid to lose his so-called friends if he didn't. Some time passed and his school organized a field trip to Mount Kairou, the mountain that flanked Kiazrae and that was constantly surrouned by thunderclouds the entire year. However, once every 30 years Mount Kairou isn't surrounded by thunderclouds and flashing lightening, so the school had decided they would go up there and give the childeren something wonderfull to remember. OH and would they remember...

Grey wasn't really fond of going up the mountain. Not because he didn't like it, he had always dreamed about exploring the mountain on his own, but they were devided in small groups and he was paired up with the most annoying person in his class. Every kid in his class had already found their 'soulmate', the pokémon they were destined to bound with, except for him. And eight year-old's can be quite cruel, as they started to laugh with Grey for not having a partner. Some said that his tricks even scared off his own soulmate, due to being so lame it was embarresing. Since that day Grey became more silent and started slacking off, his grades became average and he refused to help others out. Now he was teamed up with the kid that bullied him the entire time.

The objective of the field trip was to get to the top of Mount Kairou with a floating stone. The first pair to reach the top would get a reward; the reward was kept a secret so they would hurry. Grey and his teammate Jake, who had his partner Galvantula with him, dashed off and Grey ran after them trying to catch up with them. The little group advanced so quickly they'd already reached a checkpost halfway up the mountain, while the others hadn't even reached the first checkpost. Jake hadn't stopped by the other checkposts so none of them knew that the weather had started to change. Now a fierce thunderstorm would hit Mount Kairou within an hour, one so fierce that even Zapdos himself wouldn't be able to conjure. The entire mountain was evacuated, knowing all those who had reached the first two checkposts were sent back, including the ones who were at watch at the other checkposts. However Grey and Jake had skipped the first three checkposts and found an abandoned fourth checkpost.

Unknowing of the upcoming danger Grey and Jake advanced up and came across a fissure in the mountain wall. They went in there to look for a floating stone, and as soon as they entered the air outside started to change from a pleasant blue to a dirty darkened grey. The storm was approaching and they pokémon who had also decided to go up the mountain had taken shelter inside the cave, sensing the upcoming danger. Grey startled when a shinx ran past him and tripped over a rock. He fell flat on his face and Jake laughed at him, saying only someone as stupid as him could trip over a rock. He ordered his partner to jump at Grey to scare him if he would stand up. Thus when Grey stood back up the Galvantula jumped at him, landing in front of him and hissing. Grey backed off and felt the ground disappearing underneath his feet, he tried to keep his equilibrium but tipped over as Jake faked helping him. Instead of holding out his hand Jake had pulled back his hand the moment before Grey could grab it and this threw him off balance, making him crash down the fissure behind him. Jake had thought Grey was faking it, thinking he was a pussy but became all pale as he noticed what he'd done.

Instead of helping Jake panicked and ran off, futher into the cave as he thought he'd killed Grey. But Grey got lucky as he'd managed to get hold of a root of a plant that was growing on a protruding ledge 7 feet down the fissure. Grey called out for help but nobody came, he started to panick and shouted for Jake to come and help him. He started crying as he felt his hands getting sweaty and the root slowly slipping through his grasp. The small cry of a pokémon was heard as a vine was lowered. Grey, thinking it was Jake, quickly grabbed the vine and hung his entire weight on it. He let out a little scream as the vine suddenly lowered a meter and when looking up he saw the little blue head of a shinx, putting his fangs in the vine and struggling to get Grey back up. He lightened the weight on the vine by grabbing the rocky wall with one hand and together they managed to get him out of the fissure.

Heavily panting, Grey fell down next to the exhausted shinx. He recognised the shinx as the one that dashed in front of him when they had entered the cave and he stroked the pokémon, thanking it for helping him out.
The little shinx looked at Grey and both felt a little spark go through their body as Grey touched the shinx head. It purred happily and gazed at Grey, revealing a pair of bright yet deep green eyes. Grey's eyes went big as he noticed they weren't the casual blue like those of a regular shinx. It struck him like a bolt of lightening, he had finally found his soulmate! The shinx curled up against him and they kept sitting like that for a while, until Grey remembered Jake had ran off deeper inside the cave. Gesturing the shinx to follow he stood up and started running in the only direction Jake could've gone.

As soon as the descended the cave the area changed. The grey rocks had been switched for rocks that had a faint blue glow and giant floating stones from time to time. They found Jake a little further, shaking and crying with his Galvantula in front of him, trying to comfort him. As soon as he heard Grey's voice he looked up and thanked The Mighty Zapdos for saving his best friend. Grey however frowned when hearing the words 'best friend' and told Jake they had to get out of here. Jake pulled it all together and became his rude self again once they reached the caves exit. When they walked out of the cave the shinx growled and a giant lighteningbolt crashed a few meter away from them, creating a huge crater where it had hit.

They all backed down and rushed back inside the cave, right in time to dodge an incoming lightiningbolt that was so powerfull it created a fissure in front of the cave and sealed the entrance. The shinx pulled Grey's leg and gestured it to follow. After a few hours they'd passed through the mountain and found another exit, which they quickly went through and entered a big ledge, stretching over a few yards. The ledge showed something that looked like an altar and depicted three beings, the Guardians Zapdos,Raikou and Zekrom. In awe fro this discovery they walked up to the shrine, Grey kneeled in front of it and prayed for them to get off Mount Kairou. Not even letting this prayer fade into his thoughts lightening striked once more behind them, this time not leaving a crater but showing the silhouette of a shady figure.

The figure stepped out of the lighteningbeam and the youngsters both gasped as they saw who stood before them. Clad in yellow clothing and white leather boots while wearing a silver mask with long teeth and some protective gear on his arms, the man's long purple hair waved softly in the harsh wind. A pair of red eyes looked at them and they prescence of this being alone raised the pressure of the area. He stepped towards them and looked at both Jake and Grey, resting his eyes on the last one. "You have prayed for me, the Guardian Raikou? I couldn't believe you're back after such a long time" the man said. Jake didn"t get what they were talking about and Grey wanted to ask what he meant as Raikou stepped forth and swung his hand. A beam of lightening appeared once more and he putted his hands on the boys shoulders while leading them into the beam. As soon as they entered it they teleported back to the village.

The lightening crashed unto the middle of the town square and the group of villagers standing their approached them. Many thanked Raikou as the parents of Jake and Grey hugged their sons. Raikou walked up to Grey and his parents and asked if he could have a minute with them. He explained that Grey's prayers had been heard and that only Ithrills were able to demand a Guardian's summon. His parents told the Faction leader the entire story and Raikou said he understood, saying he would sent word of this story as soon as Grey reached the proper age to decide whether he wanted to join AGAFEKU or not. After saying this he said goodbye to the young Grey and blessed the little shinx with a lightening bolt as a sign of it's comittement to his unknown soulmate. Raikou left and after a few months everything that had happened was already forgotten, only Grey kept remembering.

When Grey was 13 he had altered, he now was getting into different kinds of trouble together with his newly evolved partner Luxio. Both of them had become the best of friends and one day Jake had challenged them for a fight. Grey accepted and both fought a long duel on the schoolgrounds, destroying part of the playground with some strong attacks. They were both expelled for a week and Grey had to help rebuilt the playground as punitive measure. Many of the kids laughed at him afterwards, but they loved Jake for being such a badboy. Grey got quite upset with this and when a group of Jakes friends wanted to teach him a lesson he tapped into his Kage for the first time. He started charging all his anger and fear and let go of it with a single thought, lighting up the entire area. All of the guys were blinded and he took off together with Luxio.

Jake had been smart enough to stay at a distance and he had followed Grey back to the forest, where Grey hid most of the time when being bullied. Jake grabbed Grey's arm and pulled him back, saying he would pay for messing around with his friends like that. As Jake wanted to hit him, Grey raised his hand and tried to push Jake back. His hand filled with electrifying sparks and disappeared when he touched Jake. Jake flinched and fell back, heavily sqirming to get free of the painful grasp. Unknowing of what he had done he ran back home and locked himself in his room together with Luxio. It told him that he had used Thunder Wave, a move he knew, and explained that Grey had used their bond to use it himself, and that this bond was called Kage.

Thus when learing more about Kage, Grey grew up, every day unlocking more of his hidden potential. When turning 18 Grey was challenged once again by Jake and a few companions. But Grey had changed since the day he learned to control Kage, he became even more lax, didn't mind getting into a few useless fusses about the stupidest of things and liked to paralyze people whenever he felt necesary. So when Jakes friends sent forth their own partners he snapped his fingers. The two fell down, sqirming to get free of his grip and their pokémon stood paralyzed. He smiled and told his Luxio to get ready to fight Jake's Galvantula once more. He whipped the floor with Jake and at the end of the battle his Luxio evolved into a mighty Luxray. The eyes of his evolved partner had become yellow and looked at him with a self-satisfying look. He patted his friend and both left the defeaten group behind.

Since then nobody has been able to defeat Grey in his village and Grey started to get bored. His grades improved but he lacked the interest durign classes, and he occasionaly sneaked out to sit at the Raikou statue which is located at the Lightening Grove. He sits there meditating or just relaxing with his Luxray, both watching the lightening crashing down at Mount Kairou. They are patiently waiting for that one lighteningbeam, different from the others. Raikou said he would sent word to him when he matured enough and thus, Grey was hoping Raikou himself would bring him this message. They practise their hidden ability, Flash Eye, at the Lightening Grove at night to improve the reign of it. Since he turned 20 Grey has been able to look through 8 feet thick stone when using Flash Eye and he likes to use this when wandering through the caves located at the foot of Mount Kairou in search for small Floating Stones.

What do I think you should do with the levels? Hmm, good question. Seems a tad random, but, meh. I thought I would go with the Bulbapedia site's way of evolving and gaining abilities. Well, kinda. Xun, Alder's Pidgey, isn't evolved yet despite being level 21. Actually, maybe I'll go back to him being level 16. Hmm...

Anti-evolution chain? o.o; I fear you may have lost me, there, Aura. Unless you mean the part where they can be any level to evolve bit. If so, it might make a bit more sense, seeing as it's like a growth thing for Pokemon. owo

Wicked. ... Now to try and finish this profile of Alder's. His history part is proving rather difficult to come up with, though. XD

@ skeetix: that's exctly what I meant and yeah, perhaps bulbapedia... *thinks* BUT you can choose whether your buddy evolves or not! So when it's supposed to evolve at lvl 16 you can make it evolve later on (gamestyle xp)

Quick question, just to clarify something: does the Ithrill get access to all their Pokémon partner's skills, whether the partner still knows them or not? Because that would be hella fun to use in a pitched battle. An image comes to mind of Rani leaping about the place and launching a Vacuum Wave at a distracted enemy Psychic-type before rushing in to finish the job with a kukharyat- and Agility-assisted Bullet Punch. Indeed, part of me wants to have her name her knife shong krengjiang, or Metal Claw...

What I mean is, the Resistance needs to be more morally ambivalent and less Obvious Good Guys. Maybe have Mewtwo co-opt the Dark Ithrill for his own ends or something, I don't know, but if most of the Ithrills aren't going to be part of it there should at least be some degree of moral ambivalence to it. Also, I'm pretty sure I know where Genesect (and by extension Rani) are going, since Fire-types are anathema to them both...

Actually, that's a point. Everyone in the Vanagunga Mountains is going to be royally pissed off when the Pokémon disappear, what with their religion revolving around the idea that you come back as one after death. As for how that's going to end up, well, let's just say that there's going to be a lot of extremely annoyed little men in robes and peculiar insectoid armour expressing their displeasure through the medium of really big knives. Always remember rule one: Do Not Act Incautiously When Confronted By Small Bald Wrinkly Smiling Men.

EDIT: Completely misread the paragraph. Rani's still going to end up fighting alongside the Bug Guardian and Genesect, though. It's what she was born to do...

Yes, pokévoices will be heard, as your pokemon IS your armour/attachments of fusion when you summon them, here's where the levels come in though. You will be able to use a certain set of moves, but sadly I'll only allow that to be normal melee-attacks like punch/kick/... and those of the faction you use, dark will only use dark moves when summoning their partner and so-on...

And your fusion/armour will disappear when having a certain amount of damage (i'm counting on you to be reasonable with that)

... damn, now you got me doubting... perhaps I'll just decline the levels and make it free-for-all

Levels work from an early-game perspective. I wouldn't limit it to the punchy-kicky stuff, though, nor would I limit it to the faction type. You're summoning a part of your soul back from Kyurem's lair, after all. You have the same movepool, it's just a massive stat boost for the human player to balance the fact that they've had their total numbers halved. It's only fair, especially for the Psychic Ithrill, who would get somewhat shafted by proceedings.

I totally bags Zeke being the Ithril that refuses at first. This one: 'This means Zekrom has 8 followers and Reshiram has 8 as well (guardians). However one of the Ithrill refuses to choose and leaves the palace. He will blow new life in the Restistance and start the Rebellion force, who fights both Zekrom and Reshiram for the people instead of a selfish goal.'

Because let's face it, that would be an awesome kinda-plot twist, having the Ghost Ithril, the 'Taboo' Ithril due to his birth circumstances, the one who, aside from Dark (who gets Mewtwo so hey who cares) is percieved as 'evil', be the one that actually starts the resistance, the ones facing the evil and the corrupted.

Or at least in my head that would be cool. Either way, bags it.

Also: I'm gonna have so much fun designing Chandelure Armour.

@Blazikid: Not Ithrill. Guardian. Check AD's post again. I made that mistake myself, though Rani's sticking with Genesect and (by extension) either Reshiram or Zekrom because she sees it as her duty to fight alongside Genesect until the day she dies. AD's plan was for the Ithrills to join the Resistance because being a rebel is cool they were going to bring all the Pokémon back via Arceus' powers, but we need some balance of opinion in this game.

Fusing with guardians... great ball Blazi! This could happen as an ultimate show-off when fighting Kyurem for the 1st time and during the last 'Clash of Gods' perhaps...

Maybe the Guardians sacrifise their lives somehow to save the Ithrills of their faction, which bestows you with their power in the very end, when one of the factions faces Kyurem after they defeated the other two factions.

Put that Reshiram defeats Zekrom and the Resistance, all those wanting to can join up to fight Kyurem in the final chapter. Reshiram dies trying and we, Ithrills, are forced to fight off Kyurem alone [yes there may be a fewwho turn evil if wanting to]. When this happens the Guardians all bestow their power on their respective Ithrills for a final stand.

How does that sound to you?

By the way, I was wondering if Kazeuta has a fall close to it. The reason for this is because I couldn't get the thought out of my head and wrote this description:

A decent sized farm house lies on a small cliff, near the edge, with a waterfall’s stream just beyond the barn. A slight ‘U’ zigzag curve is embedded into the cliff, ending with a long slopped and walled path down to a small open section. The small section is slightly rounded, sloping up beside the path. The slope down has a perfect view of the waterfall, as well as leads to a very skinny, and slightly rounded, path leading to the other side. The small section, it should be noted, is the only opening from the trees on the right face of the waterfall. On the left face is a larger side which, if seen from above, gives the shape of an Ocarina. In a way, the slope curved path down the right side would be thought of as the breath exiting the mouth piece of the instrument. Due to the shapes, the path has been dubbed the ‘Breath’, while the falls were rightfully titled, ‘Ocarina Falls’.

Appearance: Messy, almost metallic grey hair gives this tall boy a somewhat ruffled look. His features are smooth, but sharpened, giving his face an appearance of polished iron, almost. He's a tall 6'2" and is pale of skin, because he does not leave his home much. He features a few burns on his skin from messing with molten iron and other such dangerous materials. His eyes are a stark blue, almost silver they are so bright. He wears a common overcoat, colored the color of rust, along with a regular pair of pants, colored a dark grey. He has all sorts of gadgets and doo-dads with him, and can never be seen without his pocket watch.
Personality: To Rp or Not to RP... That is the question. Why oh Why are there so many rules? I just don't know. ANYWAY, Gaven can be a bit of a klutz at times. ...Well, all the time. His lanky stature, paired with his overly long feet, have lead to quite a few mishaps before. He's imaginative, and often daydreams of fantasy worlds of gears and cogs. His fingers are quite nimble, and he has been known to 'play' with small mechanical objects. He's usually quite happy go lucky, and is very easy to get along with. He rarely if ever loses his temper, as it does not appear formal at all. Instead, he will often go off and blow off some steam with his partner.
Bio:
Gaven was born in the middle of a metal workshop, made into a makeshift nursery. His parents had been expecting a child for some time, but they did not expect it to happen so early, as early as two weeks before expected. His metalic hair and startling blue eyes were all that stood out, at the time, and his parents named him a name they thought fitting.

Gaven's abilities came out at a very young age, as young as one year. he would unknowingly cause metal to bend or melt in the middle of a tantrum, and was able to make small broken devices whole once more. This came as a surprise to his parents, who went to those more learned in the ways of Kage. after careful inspection, they decided he had a gift, although they knew not what, as Isthril hadn't been born in some time, and those of Tsukaian were skeptics.

When Gaven went to school, many of the children stayed away from him due to his appearance, while others were enraptured. School was a harsh time, as good grades were expected in the clockwork day to day workings of Tsukaian. He was an ordinary student by the the standards of the town, though to many other towns he would be considered exceptional.

Gaven's partner first appeared during a field trip to the nearby factory. It was a general procedure, tour the factory and it's various mechanisms so that the children would know how they worked. Everything was going according to plan, when suddenly one of the mechanisms began to malfunction. This sent a flurry of chaotic chain reactions throughout the factory, trapping some of the children in a moving death machine.

Gaven, like many children his age, huddled together with the nearby children. only about half of the children had their soulmates, and they were pokemon such as beldum or Ferroseed, relatively useless in this situation. a cry of pain snapped gaven out of his terrified stupor, and he went to ivestigate.

Gaven found a small Klink, surrounded by huge pistons, being crushed by the machine. it's small size had gotten it stuck in between the red hot pistons, in such a position that it could not get out. gaven, thinking fast, used his powers to bend the metal just enough for the Klink to get out. The two gave each other a look, realizing they were joined.

That didn't matter at that moment though, as many of the other children were still in danger, and they needed to find the reason. the two dashed off deeper into the factory. There, they found the cause of it all. A gear had flung loose, and sent the entire machine into a frenzy. Gaven picked up the gear, and reached deep within him. He reached deep, and found a Kage unlike others he had seen. upon using it, his skin became coated in iron, strong enough to endure the heat of the machine. He placed the gear back where it belong, and as though a mighty lever had been pulled, it was all over.

Gaven never told anyone what he had done, as it was unthinkably out of regulation. Many of the workers who were in charge that day got laid off, though no one knew who fixed the whole thing. Gaven had managed to return to his group before a superior came along, and thankfully, no one said a word.

At age eleven, Gaven and his Klink were doing well at the workshop, fixing various automatons that had been worn down or misused. certainly, it was a bit dull, but it was more recreational than school. Gaven looked out of his window to find, to his amazement, a strange stone had landed last night, and no one had told him.

He sneaked out to investigate what it was, but, to his dismay, he was almost immediately attacked by a powerful Magneton. Apparently, he had accidentally entered it's territory, and it did not take lightly to intruders. Although he and Klink fought back valiantly, they did not stand a chance against the magneton... that is until Klink touched that strange stone.

It was filled with evolutionary energy, and prompted a prenatural evolution in the Klink. A flash of white, and it evolved into a powerful Klang. with this new turn of events, the pair overpowered the Magneton, and in turn returned without a word. They never spoke of what happened, although his parents were suspicious of the new Klang.

I read many of the Percy Jackson Books, as well as the, I guess, next series of books joining with the first. I also read the ones, probably by the same author, dealing with the Egyption aspect. owo I don't think I finished reading the last books of all three sections, but they're packed away, so... meh. :P

Idea! Google the prophecies and se how they're twisted, so I can make some sentences more tricky to decipher and/or have more than one meaning.

This is what I got so far:

Also, computers glitching out or restarting sucks. Heard of a friend who wrote something, forgot to save, and all the pages of writting didn‘t even semi save after the malfunctioning. Well, in this era te Rp takes place Palkia and Mewtwo are kinda... dead x.x

You're Su must contain a non-legendary gijinka (prefered to be of the same type as the faction of choice). Yes, Celebi will be included later on and you may be able to Rp as Celebi too, So no Su for Celebi xp

Seeing you are taking Celebi I presume you have chosen the Grass-Faction. Your Su will contain a grass-type pokémon then, as will the chosen pokémon appear as your partner ;p


I'll see if I can throw in some exceptions, as for now, no other Rp'er will play as one of the prohobitted legendaries until the actual war has started. I will then revive EVERY legendary that has been in the Legendary League, including Palkia and Mewtwo. Until then, they'll remain... dead.

No, I'm not dead sir (or at least not informed of that either).

It has been deadly busy, I had a lot of schoolwork, debating-classes to attend and then we had the fanfic for PANE I was working on + my activity on other forums have been keeping me busy too. No worries, I won't let this die and seeing that we don't really have any other people wishing to press this on I'll be considering this a private Rp now.

I'll post soon enough (somewhere around today, first time that I don't have a lot of work to do) and will change a few rules in the plot. Most things will stay unchanged BUT I'll be allowing your character to die if you would wish to take another faction. Let's clarify this;

No you don't have to make an entire new bio, you take your old one and just change the partner and name of your faction. Let's see it to be a kind of 'rebirth' into another faction. You can immediately join from where your 'previous' character died.

Whatcha think about this guys?

Well, I've had this in mind: You're character dies but somehow gets reborn in the other clan. All memories of the things your character has been through, but no real memories of your previous characters private life... you're still following right?

So I actually try to tell you that the new character somehow knows the things that already have taken place before. :p

I imagine Xun as Alder's inner self. Someone he'd be, if the prophecy wasn't always on his mind. He is adventurous, but hold back due to those words. At least the two of them are incredibly stubborn. CX ... I do plan on letting Alder loosen up along the way. Stubbornness can only go so far. :P [And Xun will soar in victory.]
