As a First Gen Guardian, you know how important it is to protect the oldies... the Pokemon that started all this craze and hype. They are the coolest and best Pokemon, and they deserve to be specially recognized. The goal of the First Gen Guardians is two-fold; first, to collect as many first generation Pokemon as possible, eventually reaching the goal of 151, as Professor Oak originally challenged us to do; and secondly, to participate in breeding projects organized by the group to further increase the availability of harder to find first generation Pokemon eggs.

Members (and favorite first gen Pokemon): (Anyone can join, but if you do please be willing to participate within the group. To join fill out the admission form and you'll be added to the group.)

Master Collector: Collect all 151 first generation Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Famous Collector: Collect 125 unique first generation Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Beginning Collector: Collect 50 unique first generation Pokemon (in your Pokedex).


Master Trainer: Have all 16 3rd stage evolution Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Respectable Trainer: Have 12 unique 3rd stage evolution Pokemon (in your Pokedex).


Eevee Guardian: Have Eevee and all 3 Eevee evolutions (in your Pokedex).

Fossil Guardian: Have all 5 fossil Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Starter Guardian: Have all 9 starter Pokemon and their evolutions (in your Pokedex).

Moon Dancer: Have all 4 Moon Stone-evolved Pokemon.

Bug Catcher: Have all 12 bug Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Karate Champ: Have all 8 fighting Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Spoon Bender: Have all 12 non-legendary psychic Pokemon (in your Pokedex).

Making all these buttons[5] has reminded me of the fun I use to have making them years ago. And I'm much better now even though I hadn't made them in a while before I started back up again here.

Got you added Tom. Also, the list of ranks has been finalized... now we're just working on making the graphics for them, and then they'll be implemented... check back often for updates on them.

Also, any ideas for a breeding project... a certain Pokemon we'd like to breed to make more available to others?

Dittos can't bread. The Mass Breading Project is currently working on breading Porygon, if you want to group them and bread you can. Otherwise out of the ones you have said so far I'm thinking Khangaskhan. Maybe it is just many but have any of you seen some Happiny eggs? For Chansey. I have seen Scyther in some many people's profile, and before I knew what a Scyther egg was I use to see them a lot in the shelter... but not any more. And again like Happiny, maybe I am just blind- have you seen a lot of Pinsir eggs? I don't know for sure what they look like so yeah.

I can put back my Pinsir/Ledian pair in the Daycare but I don't know if they produce eggs because they are at lvl 100.

Well I think I have seen it a couple times then. This is like the first time I have had all six of my slots filled with eggs in a long time, back closer to the date I joined. Since I used a repel last night to get a legendary egg, didn't want to waist it so I picked up other eggs while I was at it. I still have one repel use let also, I'm afraid that somehow I will click the lab page by mistake and lose it... Just got to wait tell one more egg hatches... Or two, I might go the shelter first and see if I can get Pinser or Khangaskhan. Still first I grabbed a Scyther egg when they were everywhere, but that looked so odd I didn't know what they were

Just a couple left that I knew I don't have for my first generation dex [not counting evolved forms]

I have Scyther, Khangaskhan and Scyther... so I could breed all of those. I have never seen a Happiny egg. Maybe we could organize the breeding of those 4? We could do Porygon also, but it seems like another group is breeding them.

Kangaskan hatched and I plced her in the Daycare with Aron. So far they produced 2 eggs both Aron.I will inform if the couple produces any Kangaskan eggs

OK this is a reply to a lot of people... look for your name and my response follows.

Tsukinaka: I meant all 3 starter Pokemon and their 6 evolved forms... So Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusar, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle and Blastoise.

Kirara: I meant to say to get the 4 evolved forms, so Clefable, Wigglytuff, Nidoking and Nidoqueen. I'll edit the description. Also, you've got quite a few badges. :P

Sorry for the confusion, I'll edit the descriptions to try to make it more clear if at all possible.

Ok...It's something about the Eevee stones. Is it okay to ask what stones are for which evolution? I've gotten a fire, water and leaf stone fall into my lap while clicking and was wondering how to use them when my Eevee hatches.

The only odd evolving ones here, that doesn't match up with the game are Leafeon and Glaceon. Which instead of Moss Rock and Ice Rock need Leaf Stone and Shiny Stone. Other then that Eevees evolve just like they do in the games. Fire Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, Day Time, Night Time.... So yes all the ones you listed you had there will get you evolved Eevees, but as darthgohan said you still need a Thunder Stone to complete the Eevee evolved forms for this group.

Oh well. By the way, as a FGG, we can release first gens into the shelter through breeding our own Pokemon right? Much like the Savior Project or something like that, but through breeding and releasing only first gens.

First off - YES!!! Badges!! They look so awesome, with the sprites and all <3 Ah, now I have the urge to collect every one
Second, I believe that Porygons and Chansey (forgot the other name ><) eggs are VERY much needed in the shelter. Very. As in I can't find them anywhere But that's beside the point.

Also, welcome to FGG AngelFeathers, got ya added to the members list.

I agree, Chansey/Porygon are very hard to find...so breed those Porygons and Happinys, please... and release! I just got a Happiny, and once I can evolve it, I'll probably breed it for a while.

Also, badges are meant to be used however you like. Wear them in your sig, show them off on other forums you go to, whatever you like as long as you don't break any rules here or at another forum. Hope you have fun collecting them, that is why I made them. :P

All my first generation Pokemon! At the moment I only have one hatched Pokemon that is not first gen... And that's a Bidoof that I use for breeding... *giggle* And look, I even have a Squirtle! That was one of my greatest accomplishments in GPX+, hatching Squirt... And yes, I know that Destiny is a male Dratini with a female name. I did it on purpose to suit his personality.

The only First Gen Pokemon I have right now are Gastly, Sanshrew, and Ponyta. I am working on Schyther, Rhyhorn, Ekans, and Omanyte. Sorry I am a newb.

The way they have your pokedex set up on the site it makes to hard to count how many pokemon you have per generation, but at the same time I like it because it is different and you don't see it much.

Not counting double, counting from my PC. My Kanto Dex has 102. Which is kind of sad because when I counted it on the 13th, 17 days ago, I came up with the same number wait wait, I forgot to check some other boxes just a sec more... 106. Okay that is a little better. Had to look through my second, third, and forth generation boxes for those new evolved forms pokemons.

Man all these days since I last updated my list and only one add to show for it. I guess that is what I get for being busy a lot of the time and not clicking as much as I use to. But I now have an Eletabuzz, that was waiting to evolve when I got on just a couple minutes ago, putting my total dex count at 107.

Well I have not been on at all that much lately but still my colection has been growing with is nice. I have my train boxes set up so I evolve them in order of who ever is closest to evolving but I have been cheating lately and have been moving Kanto pokemon up so they would go in my party next. Now all but one [Not counting eggs] is not a Kanto pokemon. Also my Dex count is up to 115, which is 8 more then before which is great since I haven't been on. So just 10 more tell my next badge ^.^

Oh also at 14 three stage pokemon so just two more there.

I will go count the rest of them now and update my master list.

Seems I did get a new badge after all in my slow time-

I've obtained all of the non-legendary eggs I need to complete the Kanto dex. Except Ditto, but ditto remains a special case.

I'm now working on evolving my pokes. By my count, I've obtained 101 out of the 145 first-gen pokemon that are not either ditto or legendary. I've also got a mew egg, by an incredible stroke of luck.

I am drawing ever closer to completing my 1st gen pokedex...except for legendaries. (I only have moltres ; A ; )
My only hindrances are Happiny to get a Chansey, and Ditto, of course.

I think most of us only have one or two badges yet. It's fun trying to get more.

Luna, if you go to the first post there is a spoiler w/ the rank badges. Just right click on the one(s) you've earned and click on "save image location" Then paste it into your signature as you normally would any image, with the [img*][/img*]. They don't have the link to the topic, but that's easy enough to add in.

I was just going through the list of first generation pokemon, trying to compare what pokemon I have and what I need to do to obtain more badges, and I noticed... isn't there a total of 17, not 16, unique 3rd stage pokemon?

Oh shoot, you are right. I saw three pokemon with E's when I was going down the list because Electrode is right before those 2, and just assumed it was 3. I guess I'm sleepy, I definitely should have caught that, duh! Haha disregard my previous post

Sorry for my lack of activity... my schedule has suddenly become very busy, and it would be impossible for me t come on daily anymore, let alone on any sort of regular basis for the time being. I think FGG is a great group and would hope all of you would take in part of keeping FGG going strong. I willkeep an eye on things and pop back in every now and then... I may even choose a co-leader.

Yes, I prefer pidgeotto over pidgeot. The D/P/Pt sprite is super awesomeness and made pidgeotto my #1 favourite first gen pokemon. I also have a few more 1st gen faves, but I think the list is big enough.

Oh yeah I had gotten a lot more busy as well to be able to help with that (PM)

Well my all Kanto count is up to 131.
From what I have right now in my pc and team (and daycare) when they are all done evolving that will give me 11 more which someday will make 142, which means I will still be missing 10 more counting ledgendary pokemon. There are 5 of those, so I still have five more normal pokemon left to get. I don't now off the top of my head what all of them are, well I know one is Aerodactyl- oh and Magnemite/Magneton... hmm that is only 3 I wonder what the other two are.... well I did just get the 131 count by just counting them one by one in my head maybe I miss counted or skipped over a pokemon *shrug* oh well. I just feel really close to the goal.

Just looked at my post, the 22nd post on here. So now I know what four of the pokemon are, one other is Ditto. But I still don't know what that 5th pokemon was, I think I just miss counted somewhere along.

Fond a random water stone today, happy, it let me evolve my shiny Staryu ^^ Sadly that is the only thing [other then the all kanto count] that I was able to update on my badge status post. >.>

PS: Did you know that Moon Dancer is the only badge that does not say they have to be in your dex at the end of how to get the badge. Just a random side note.

52 first gen solid and a ton of things that need to be evolved still. Fortunately after I get another Cleffa, hatch Elekid, and evolve up all the baby evolutions I won't have to be mucking about with eggs from other generations anymore.

@Snap: I like your team line up right now. First Generation Pokemon just look so much better then the others. When I see the first pokemon of those 151 its just- cool.

Since no one gave me any ideas for a pokemon to use in the next button I random picked Dodrio to recolor. I used the Yellow sprite and recolored it with D/P colors.

Since it is getting late and I have to leave on a school trip tomorrow for the week and I haven't even packed yet I will have to make the button itself later.

Hi everyone! I'm back from the dead hahaha nothing much has really been happening for me with regards to First Gen Pokes but I do now have 9 first gen pokes (total of 16 dex entries).

I personally like the 3rd one, the one with FGG in white italics.

I also had an idea for other "ranks". Make some for having Lvl 100 First Gens - @1, 5, 10, 25, 50+. Also, do the same for shinies. I'll flesh it out w/ more detail if you like/approve it.

And some badge ideas I've been meaning to list for a while:
- 25 and 75 Pokemon marks for the complete first gen pokedex
- level below Respectable Trainer - for 9/16 3rd stage Pokemon
- Electrician: Have all 10 non-legendary electric Pokemon in your Pokedex
Actually, a badge for collecting all of each type would be pretty neat - except some types, like poison, normal, flying, and water, have a ridiculous amount of Pokemon, while others like ice, ghost, and dragon only have three or four, and are limited to one or two evolution families.

Yey~ Almoust have all the first gen pokes (minus legendarys and ditto.) I only need to evolve couple and get these eggs.
Shellder x2, Happiny (Chansey) and Tangela. Only thing is that I can't find them in the shelter (+ I can't look for them at the lab because I don't know what descriptions those had.) at least I have a little doubt about what kind of egg they have. But anyhow it would be nice if someone could breed those

The badge thing is real simple, Hoolo. Your PC has to have all of the pokemon listed withing the badge "requirements" for you to earn that badge. Once you have them all, then you can put the image in your signature. For example, I just evolved my 12th original 3rd stage pokemon, so now I qualify for the "Respectable Trainer" badge.
