Poképods, Gen V Pokétch? |

 Our new characters will be carrying, essentially, iPods. Yes, iPods. Little information is given in this magazine on it, but from the image, we can deduct that it includes the Pokédex. My guess (which may be wrong, I was wrong in the past) is that this will be received like the Pokégear or Pokétch: Little will be on it when the character receives it, but the character will gain new accessories (possibly Apps?) as the character goes through the story. --------------------  |

Oh yeah, a music feature, hopefully like one of those music players from games where you listen to the games music tracks

I'm guessing these "Pokepods" will probably carry apps, and will allow you to play your music in your SD Card (if you're using the DSi :P), just so we don't have to use our real iPods and turn down the BGM and SFX in Pokemon anymore.

Oh, so no PokeZune? xD
I hope it has some sort of music player, and something better than the radio in HG/SS. The songs that played were just annoying, especially the Goldrenrod music. And hopefully some more useful apps than the Poketch had? Some were pretty nifty, but most of them were just annoying to scroll through and had virtually no use, like the step counter or the memo pad which never saved what you wrote.

If the C gear isn't the newer version of 4th generation's poketch, then maybe the pokedex will be an all-in-one kind of gear, with pokemon dex information, phone numbers, apps, a music player(if the gs sounds continues to this generation) and a map, possibly?

I just hope the new gear has lots of different "apps" like the Poketch did, like the doodle pad and the analog clock. XD

Wow, that actually seems really nifty. Now, if only we could play music on it from a SD card or something. That would be awesome.
I thought i read or heard somewhere that Black and White will have special features for the DSi, correct? If OP's hunch is correct, i bet this could be one of them.
