The Mareep took the incoming water gun and was throughly drenched in water. The attack didn't really harm the pokemon too much given the special defense boost the charge gave to her. Surprised by the fact that she was hit with a water gun rather than a rage attack, the pokemon giggled. It seemed that the tackle from earlier didn't have much of a reason, asides from hurting the totodile obviously. The fact that her original intentions to intimidate the totodile turned out to come true also made the sheep pokemon laugh, despite not working out precisely as she had planed. Overjoyed by the feeling of triumph the previous attack gave her, the pokemon then put all of it's energy into it's upcoming electric attack. She let out a battle cry and then released the charged energy into a single attack.

Overcome with the feelings of power and pride, the pokemon had forgotten thather electricity was stored in, directed, and made more powerful with her fur, her wet fur. The water made the charged electricity flow back into her body and when trying to call multiply the energy she had been charging into a quick and powerful volt, the energy was unable to be directed and was forced to come out in whatever direction possible and seeing as all the energy was coming from the mareep, the closest thing for everything to go to was: The Mareep.

The Mareep's electric backfire damaged it emansely and brought it to it's knees. She tried to get up in an attempt to make up for her mistake and follow Castor's motto of never giving up, but was too drained from her own attack and the backfire from the attack to really do anything. She had the will, but she couldn't fight any longer. She fell down, unconsious. Castor stared breathless. That was...unexpected. Although Castor had a good understanding of a mareep's (or atleast the mareep's he had come to know) weakness to water attacks and wouldn't have been surprised that he himself would have forgotten about it during battle, Castor was rather surprised to see that Virva had so quickly forgot, given past experienced with each other. He gave a shrug, willing to accept his lost. He used one of his revieves and brought his pokemon to a consious condition, but no where near a fighting condition. He helped his pokemon up and gave a pat on her head.

"Don't worry about it. You did well."

Casor gave a smile to the Mareep and redirected his attentions to the girls.

"I guess you win. Although, I wouldn't really say hte win was much on your part. It was a fluke afterall. Anyways,"
Castor brought his head to the third girl who was sitting nearby watching the battle and then brought his face back to the others.

"What are you all doi-"

Castor had to stop his sentence noticing a mistake he usually made in the past. Normally he would just tag along with people during his travels (As he was intending with these three.) usually fogetting his name in the process, this time around, Castor was going to try something different, maybe it would be able to bring a better outcome than normal, seeing as this day wasn't going exactly as usual.

"Erm. I mean, What are all of your names. My name's Castor, Garnet if you care for my last name."

Well...what a quick, unexpected twist. It was almost unbelievable that it ended so quickly. In all honesty, Holly was a tad bit disappointed. After all, a three-way battle would have been quite a show. On the other hand, if they had...

She was interrupted in her thoughts by the boy's inquiry of her name. She got up, Marco chirping happily in her arms. "Me? I'm Holly. Holly Wolff. I live pretty nearby...but what brings you here?" Holly was smiling, but her head was cocked.

Crush slammed his tail on the ground again. To him, he would have rather went one on one with Virva. If he would hurry up and evolve, he could have easily beaten her.

Okami stood up and dusted herself off. Giving Dizzy a pat, she called her back into her pokeball. Thw white haired girl then addressed Castor.
"I'm Okami Amsel. Your Mareep is wonderful! My parents breed pokemon, so I've seen plenty Mareep. You've met Crush, my Totodile. The Mareep I had is Dizzy."

Shirori was quite surprised that Virva had shocked herself. In her eyes, it was carelessness, or something of that sort. Yes, Shirori had serious battle-mode part to her, though rarely displayed. She narrowed her yellow eyes at the shocked (literally) Mareep, waving her four-pointed star tail as she wondered whether to help the Pokemon.

Meanwhile, Deanna was watching her Shinx, smiling a bit when the Pokemon ran up to the Mareep after its Trainer had revived it and sat down next to it, barking out a small "Shi!" She knew she hadn't won since it was a fluke, like the Mareep's Trainer had said a few moments ago, and she wasn't annoyed by it either. At least Virva was unharmed, in her opinion.

When the boy - Castor - asked for her name, Deanna figured it wouldn't hurt to tell them her name. "Danielle Darke." She replied indifferently, glancing at Shirori. The Shinx didn't seem to be coming back soon so Deanna put The Shinx's Pokeball she had been holding back in her messenger bag. After all, some fun (or caring...) wouldn't be bad, and Deanna didn't mind at all unless Shirori ran off and hid again (for some reason, she loved playing hide-and-seek, and de-energizing her Trainer was even funnier. Not that she had anything against her, of course. Deanna was perfectly nice and caring to her Pokemon). That would take a big chunk out of her energy again, and she did not enjoy it.

Castor took a moment to intake everyone's names. He didn't bother to repeat them, seeing as it was much too tedious to recall all of the trainers name as well as some of their pokemon. Instead, simply decided to reply to Okami's compliment.

"Thanks."

He stated rather bluntly, leaving a notable pause before his next statement.

"My Mareep's name is Virva. My parents breed pokemon too, particularly Mareep professionally back in Johto. It's kind of why Virva is kind of special. She is a top bred Mareep, or something around those lines, she's one of the best they bred. Not that I particularly care, as I'd love my mareep regardless, but I guess it's kind of important when commenting on her performance."

He shrugged, slightly forgetting, that his Mareep had such a big mess up in the previous battle.

"Um, don't think my parents aren't bad breeders or anything though. We just kind of messed up today."

Castor said quickly, trying to not embarrass his parent's reputation, he brought himself to change the subject in order to reply to Holly's question. Quickly, he decided to be a slightest bit dramatic, knowing that it would probably be best in his situation.

"Hrm. Where am I planning to go? Well..."

Castor then dramatically pulled his arm into the sky and brought his fingers to point at Mt. Carello.

"I am heading to, Arasam!"

He then balled his hand into a fist to continue his statement.

"to crush the gym leader and earn their badge!"

Castor calmed himself realizing that hew as being a little bit too dramatic with his answer. He looked over towards the group and decided to ask,

"So, I'm figuring all of you, asides from you Holly, are planning on going up there too right?"

Hmm. So the boy, Castor, was headed to Holly's hometown, eh? Well it wasn't a particularly easy climb up Carello, and when a town is built on top of a mountain, it's easy to get lost on the way. Plus, Pokemon that live in the mountains aren't particularly extremely friendly. Plus, he wnated to defeat their gym leader. That would have been quite entertaining to watch, so...

"Yeah, you're right, I'm not going up there. I wasn't going to, at least. In fact I was on my way down." Holly was not only one of her lazy days, but also she was on one of her will-stalk-for-the-sake-of-boredom days. In the first place, when she first went out of Arasam, she had no idea where to start. Furoh was big and full of opportunities around every bend. This looked like one. "But...If you want, I can escort you to the gym. I don't have anything better to do, not today, at least."

"Chic," Agreed Marco, remembering the times he used to sneak into the gym when nobody was looking to watch the battles and admire the Leader's, and sometimes the challenger's, fire Pokemon. If only he could be that strong osmeday! It was his dream. But for now he could watch this boy go against his idols. That was the most fun thing to do that day.

Arasam... something clicked inside Deanna's mind but she brushed it off, not wanting to space out again. Sure, she'd heard of Arasam and its awesome gyms, but she'd never gotten around to considering going up there (her fear of heights was still intact after all those years), and she certainly didn't fancy climbing up a mountain. She could easily lose the others thanks to her crappy sense of direction and just trip and die. What she was doing her was unclear even to her.

Deanna nearly grinned (GASP!) at his overdramatic exclamation and shrugged. Well, since she was already here, why not just tag along and have another battle with the gym Leader (if time allowed, anyways)? Shrugging a bit, Deanna answered, "I don't really know why I'm here since my Pokemon," she gestured to the (still) fawning Shinx and continued. "Shirori, led me here. But Arasam sounds interesting, and I'm bound to have gone up there sometime."

Still smiling, she had blurted all that out without thinking. But it did seem true, of course, and they weren't a bad crowd. They were close in age, too. Deanna could even catch another Pokemon or Pokemon egg, if she was lucky.

Okami patted Crush on the head. He in return, nibbled at her hand. He could feel himself getting stronger after that battle. Not too long now...
"Arasam? Mind if I tag along? I need to get a fire pokemon before I think of doing anything else." Okami said. Heck, she only had two pokemon. 3 should be good enough for a gym leader. Plus, Dizzy needed the most training.

“So it’s settled. We all are going to Arasam!”

Castor turned to the mountain and trotted off, without bothering to give much attention to either of the girls. Right now, his goal was to climb the mountain, everything else wasn’t too important He took a few steps fotward, with his Mareep, slowly, following, a slight limp in her step. Castor then suddenly stopped. Virva looked up, curious of whether or Castor noticed her limp, realizing what implications this could hold, she stood perfectly still.

Virva knew there was only one outcome if Castor were to see her injuries. She would be returned and even though she would much rather be in the comforts of her pokeballs rather than in the cold of Carello, she wanted and opportunity to make herself not seem so weak to her trainer. She wanted to fit in Castor’s image of an ideal pokemon, knowing perfectly well what he wanted: a strong pokemon, ready to fight on no matter the situation. A pokemon, that Virva honestly wasn’t, but something she wanted to be. Virva was sweet and kind, not a pokemon that particularly liked fighting. It was a trait common to all of Castor’s family Mareep, seeing as they were bred to be household pokemon for lighthouses and as pets, not as horrible fighting machines and even if Virva did have traits to be a wonderful battler, her genetic nature, really wouldn’t allow it. She was faced with an internal issue, but as a battling pokemon, she knew that she could only follow one path.

Virva noticed that Castor had begun to speak; it seemed that he hadn’t noticed her condition. She let out a sigh and listened to him talk.

“Hey, um…Holly! You said you knew the way up right?”

Castor let out an embarrassed smile, as he realized he was trying to lead the way, despite a different idea already being set up.

Crush ignored Castor and began walking before the group. He didn't know the way, but that wasn't going to stop him! Slamming his tail, he kept walking.

Okami wondered if she should follow the group...or Crush. Crush did have the knack of finding pokemon...and making them angry. Did she feel like running away? Nah, she really wanted a fire pokemon.
"Crush! Wait for everybody!"

The Totodile glanced back and stopped.

Holly watched casually as Castor bounded up the mountain with the most enthusiasm she had ever seen. Marco wiggled a little, and Holly let go, allowing the Pokemon to bounce up the rocks after him. Holly put her hands behind her head as she watched him gain a few meters ahead and was about to go after him when he turned and said, “Hey, um…Holly! You said you knew the way up right?”

She only rolled her eyes, climbing up the first few stones in large steps, Marco going after her. Once she was a few inches above Castor, she called, "This way!" Yeah, it wasn't one of her active days, but climbing a mountain was easy. If you lived on one.

Deanna glanced at her now downcast-looking Pokemon, who was sitting in Virva's previous location. Yes, just as she said, Shirori was too nice for her own good. Ignoring the hyperactive Totodile running up the mountain and Castor who asked for directions, Deanna got down on her knees and extended a pale hand. "Come here, Shirori." She said, her left hand subconsciously pulling out some Oran berries from her bag. Shirori slowly padded over to her, her head hung low. Yeah, maybe she was a bit overdramatic, but that didn't stop Deanna from cheering up her Pokemon.

Holding out the berries in her other hand, Deanna was met by a blue-and-black blur, which tackled her down on the ground. The Shinx sure didn't look like it, but despite her size, she was very strong. Strong enough to knock Deanna over (although that could have been because her Trainer was underweight). Deanna sat up, patting Shirori's head as she devoured the berries in her palm.

She got up off the ground, dusting her knees and arms off before turning in the others' direction, noting they were already some distance away. "YO, wait up!" She yelled, running off in their direction, occasionally glancing over her should to see whether Shirori was following or not. And, surprisingly (for Shirori's personality, anyways), she was, matching Deanna's speed.

Okami decided it was time for lunch while traveling. Taking out apokemon and letting Dizzy out, she looked around her bag for some food. Some bread and berries. Dizzy ate a few from her hand. Okami didn't bother giving Crush any. He liked to find his own food anyway.

Dizzy walked beside her trainer like a faithful pokemon. But she was leaning agaisnt Okami. The wool infront of her eyes prevented her from seeing clearly. So she relied on her trainer and Crush...sometimes to help her out.

"Maa~!"

Castor gave a heavy sigh as he saw that Okami suddenly decided to take a break. It seemed history was only repeating itself in Castor's adventure. Castor didn't really find it a good time to take a break, considering just how cold the mountain side was becoming and his bias towards the accursed mountain of course. He looked towards the two other girls and then back to Okami.

"You sure you want to take a break? I mean, it's getting really cold up here. Can't we wait till we get to Arasam, with the horsprings and all that jazz..."

Okami responded to Castor, giving a few reasons why taking a break on the mountain side was reasonable, before returning to her pokemon. She specifically mentioned that she would be willing to continue on if the others weren't in the mood for the break

"That's that then. What do you two want to do then?"

Castor looked over to the other two girls, curious of their opinions on the matter.

After a few minutes of hiking up Mt. Carello, it seemed like some of Holly's groupmates got tired. Or maybe hungry, judging by the way Okami took out some food and fed some to her Mareep, Dizzy. Well, maybe Castor wasn't exactly part of that "some." The way he whined made it evident he was one of those overly-enthusiastic "let's do this!" types like most of Holly friends. But ah, well, you couldn't always be happy.

"Cold? Not really." Holly put her hands behind her head and leaned on one of the bigger boulders, Marco hopping around atop it. "If you think this is cold, wait 'til we get to the top. I am personally not feeling cold, and obviously, Marco isn't, either."

"Chic," agreed Marco, ruffling his feathers. With that little internal fire sac, Torchics couldn't possibly get cold.

"Anyway, back to the point, you can do whatever you want, I'm fine either way." She paused awkwardly for a few moments, then took her bag, saying, "Well, I guess a few snacks couldn't hurt." With a grin, she took out the sandwich she had left earlier, as well as Marco's bag of Pokemon snacks, which he immediately stole and stuck his head into. Holly hopped up beside him on the boulder, devouring several bites of the sandwich. "Mmm. Ham and cheese. Don't you just love ham and cheese?"

It was a long way up, Deanna was absolutely positive about that. She didn't like climbing mountains... well, snow-topped mountains were an exeption. Deanna loved the snow, ever since she was a little girl. But, much to her disappointment, Arasam wasn't high enough for snow at this time of the year, even if there was a little bit of snow on the tip of Mt. Carello. She sighed and kept on walking with Shirori bounding happily by her side, the Shinx's yellow eyes shining with anticipation.

Then Okami stopped, deciding it was time for a break. 'So soon?' Was the main thought in Deanna's mind, but she stopped once Castor started whining. The way he whined reminded her of her younger brother, the world's most annoying brother in her opinion.

"It isn't cold," She replied, catching up with the others. "Though hotsprings sound nic-OUCH!" Her foot had caught on something solid and the size of a normal rock. Her hands were windmilling in the air for a split second before Deanna tumbled down, landing mostly on her arms. This wasn't exactly... rare but she certainly didn't feel like falling right now because it made her feel even more clumsy than she already was.

"I suppose we can stop for now..." She finally agreed, sitting up and glaring at the offending rock that had tripped her up. Except it wasn't a rock. It was a blue egg, dusted light blue around the middle. Deanna knew exactly what that was. It was a Pokemon egg, a Piplup egg to be exact. She knew that because it had been one of her favourite eggs. Picking it up, she stared at it, her expression blank once again.

Castor shrugged as the group decided to take the short break.

"Whatever."

Seeing that this was as good of a time as any, Castor pulled out three pokeballs from his pocket. He clicked the respective buttons on each of the three pokeballs and three them into the air, with a flash of red light, three pokemon appeared by his side: A Charmander, Marill, and Shroomish. The three pokemon were dazed at the sudden changed in environment, but quickly came to adjust to the new scenario. When they finally settled, Castor gave a quick hello to the pokemon and decided to intro duce them to the rest of the group.

“Hey. These are my other pokemon. Icuru, Azure, and Kaize.”

The pokemon nodded accordingly when their name came to be called, signifying which pokemon was which. Icuru being the Charmander, Azure being the Marill, and Kaize being the Shroomish. The three pokemon moved about to meet some of the unfamiliar faces around. Being a pair, Azure and Kaize went together to meet with the youngest girl, Holly, figuring she was the least intimidating. Icuru was planning on going meet up with one of the others, but Castor called him back, apparently wanting warmth from his tail.

“Sorry about this. I really don’t like it up here and those three insist that it isn’t cold. Can you just hang about around here with me and Virva for the time being?”

The Charmander nodded with his command and sat alongside Virva and his trainer; keeping his tail particularly close to the boy.

Holly watched from her boulder as Castor's adorable Marill and Shroomish headed towards her. She smiled, stuffing the last of her sandwich in her mouth. Which was a pretty huge bite. So when she hopped down to greet the little Pokemon, she sounded like she was speaking in gibberish.

While she did, Marco abandoned his snacks for a (short) while to meet his fellow Pokemon, the three exchanging little greeting before Holly finally swallowed her sandwich and said, "Well, I guess it's kind of chilly enough, so you guys should go meet Frosbite." Holly took a Pokeball from her bag before whispering briefly, "Careful, she can get crabby," and finally releasing the Seel.

Frostbite stood her ground, staring at the newcomers intimidatingly. Holly only sighed and told her, "Frostbite, these are our new friends," introducing everyone one by one. Eventually, the Seel calmed down.
