Ok, When I went o eal my pokemon, Joy talked longer than usual. I wasn't paying attention and only saw "grow expetially well". I took nothing of it. But when I went to see what nature my pokemon were, they all had PKRS by their level. What does this mean? horrified.gif

You're very, very lucky. Your Pokemon has PkRs. It's a sort of parasite or something of the sort that makes your Pokemon's stats go up more than usual upon leveling up. The more you train a Pokemon with PkRs, the more the parasite will spread across your party. It is undoubtably a very good thing. It will go away after a while, so make the most of it while you can!

Also, you can put a Pokemon with PkRs in the PC, and the PkRs will never go away. It's an extremely rare feature.

Yeah, it's a very good thing. And it makes EV training a lot faster too. grin.gif

Since PkRs doubles the amount of EVs you gain. I am envious.

Lucky you. Hahaheehee. I used to have PkRs in my Pearl Version before I lost it. I'm trying to get it on Platinum, but no such luck so far.

Wild Pokemon can have PkRs. It's about 3/4 as much as the chance of getting a shiny Pokemon in the wild. When you battle a Pokemon with PkRs, your Pokemon gets it too. (this does not include wi-fi or linked battles)

The Runaways

QUOTE(D/P Strategy Guide Book Definition of Pokerus)
Microscpoic to the eye, you might not even notice that your Pokemon has Pokerus. But the clerk at the Pokemon Center will notice, since they're a Pokemon healing professional and all. But it's not like having a cold or the flu - in fact, the effects are only beneficial. It becomes easier for your Pokemon stats to increase, making it stronger and more effective in battle. Pokerus goes away in a few days but the beneficial effects will last forever. You can spread it to your other Pokemon simply by having them all in the same party together. This is a virus that none of them will mind catching!

That is how Pokerus is described in the D/P Strategy guild. o_O.gif It lasts for up to 48 hours (two days.) When it goes away, you'll see a smiling face instead of PKRS in the Pokemon's summary.

I got PokeRus from a Cherrubi I got on the GTS. It was pretty awesome. :D

I wonder~ Do you think infected Pokemon deposited on the GTS are the same as those in the PC in that they don't lose it over time?

I have never ever gotten the virus in any of the pokemon games I've played. I'm just so unlucky when it comes to games.

I've gotten PokeRus only once by myself, although, I've gotten it tons of times from traded pokemon, if you really want it just ask a person to trade you an infected one. Most people will be happy to help you.

I got Pokerus from a random Pokemon I traded. oh.gif
I was sure to infect most of my PC pokemon, just so that it would never go away.
