Hey I'm Kinda new Here and was wondering how Shinies work in this game?
Do Shiny ancestors affect the egg being Shiny? Is Shiny Affected by IV's (just like the old games) Does breeding Shiny with Shiny gives a better chance to get a shiny? I don't really get how Shinies are made in this game and was hoping for someone to enlighten me -------------------- |

No, no, and no. The chance that an egg will be shiny is completely random and is not affected by any factor except pure luck.
The shiny rate on GPX+ is higher than in the games, but the staff have not revealed exactly what the rate is. Most people speculate it's somewhere between 1/200 and 1/300, though. -------------------- |

May I add one question to this? Is it possible to get shinies of the novelty pokemon, such as the different coloured Magicarps?

Yes, it is. You can get shinies of any pokemon in game. Thank you so much! I was just getting a little worried that maybe I was hatching them over and over for nothing -------------------- |
