Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ Music and Entertainment _ What's the Last Movie You Saw?

Posted by: Furrtwo May 4 2008, 10:28 PM

Well this is easy. Just say the current last movie you've seen. Think hard. I'd have to say mine is Nancy Drew or the wierdest movie ever. Your turn.

Posted by: shadow the hedgehog May 5 2008, 02:46 PM

i just saw iron man. it was pretty kool but i think the sex scene could have been left out.

Posted by: Justbman May 5 2008, 04:04 PM

I really cannot remember he last movie I saw.. as I don't watch many in the first place.

Posted by: Hokkai no Oni May 5 2008, 04:08 PM

Iron Man, on Saturday in the cinema with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday and continuing OCD nerdiness when it comes to comic books.

It was the second best comic book film adaptation I have ever seen, narrowly bested only by Batman Begins. Of course, since Iron Man was the first Marvel comic I ever started reading, I may be somewhat biased.

Posted by: Cesium May 5 2008, 06:14 PM

Last one I saw in it's entirety? That would be "Airplane!".

Posted by: Fallen Archangel May 5 2008, 06:51 PM

Does Youtube count? If yes, it's the Facts of Life parody on The Big Gay Sketch Show.

If not, Chicago.

Posted by: kon May 5 2008, 07:49 PM

mmmm....... think kon think o it was the golden compass

Posted by: Fallen Archangel May 7 2008, 02:50 PM

I'll most likely be watching 300 tonight.

You haven't seen it yet?

Last NEW movie I saw was 10,000 BC I believe which honestly wasn't as great as I was expecting. Last actual movie I saw last was Date Movie for the hundredth time just a couple minutes ago.

Also, moving this thread to the appropriate section.

Posted by: Shade Jun 13 2008, 04:18 PM

Posted by: Bri Jun 15 2008, 11:20 PM

Uhmmmm...I just watched the Disney channel movie "Stuck in the Suburbs" while flipping back and forth to "The Best of Mike Myers on SNL". So yeah. I guess Disney channel movies count? XD I didn't watch the whole thing but I caught snippets of it, and I've seen other snippets before...XD

Posted by: Akane Jun 16 2008, 08:08 AM

'Don't Mess with The Zohan'. It was pretty funny. But quite crude at the same time. Adam Sandler always pleases.

I wonder what hummus tastes like?

Posted by: shadow the hedgehog Jun 16 2008, 12:20 PM

"indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skulls"

it was good but i dont think that aliens and ancient latin american civilizations mix very well.

Posted by: Ruffledfeathers Jun 23 2008, 05:16 AM

Sweeny Todd. Heh, I did not expect the ending.

Posted by: Justbman Jun 23 2008, 10:45 AM

Posted by: empoleon dynamite Jul 28 2008, 10:53 AM

The new Batman film. It was amazingly awesome.

Posted by: Justbman Jul 28 2008, 05:20 PM

Theaters: Batman: the dark knight.
In a way, it was done very well, but incredibly inappropriate for children, and too violent.
Tv: Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of both worlds concert.
AWESOME smile.gif

Blasphemy, PG 13 movies can't be inappropriate.

Anyways, that was the last movie I've seen and it's going to be hard to top it.

Semi-Pro was the last on DVD.

Posted by: lynn Jul 28 2008, 08:05 PM

I saw Dark Knight last weekend and Hellboy 2 yesterday. Both good movies.

Posted by: Pokii Jul 28 2008, 08:06 PM

The Dark Knight. I won't say anything else, as I'm sure it's utter amazing-ness has already been mentioned.

Posted by: johnrichard1991 Aug 1 2008, 10:47 AM

The Dark Knight.

It was better than I expected. They didn't drag things out for too long, and it was action scene after action scene.
My favorite version of the Joker, and Two Face looked cool.

Posted by: PrimalPalkia Oct 7 2008, 02:05 PM

I had just seen The Mummy Returns
It wasnt as good as the first one.

Posted by: Julius Caesar Oct 7 2008, 07:18 PM

I'm probably going to see Coraline next.

Just saw that recently. It was good for a Disney movie about talking dogs. I liked it, but my dad would have hated it because it had all the silly, corny elements he despises. My mom and me, of course, loved it and sniffled through the sad/corny parts. Curse my sappiness!

Anyway, last one I watched was Psycho. Finally got around to watching it. Oh dear, I don't think I'll ever feel safe in the shower again. horrified.gif It was amazingly well done, though. Alfred Hitchcock was a genius. I've got Vertigo rented too, so I'll be watching that at some point soon. I need to watch that last Hitchcock film so I can see High Anxiety by Mel Brooks. I loved Blazing Saddles (Funniest movie ever after Airplane!), but I had to see the big Hitchcock films before I see High Anxiety so that I'll understand more of the jokes. grin.gif

Posted by: Kariya Apr 7 2009, 05:53 PM

A few days ago, I saw Adventureland. It's an A-okay movie, but sort of slow. And no, I did not watch it cause the 'Twilight girl' was in it, lol!

I saw it because it appeared funny since the setting of the moving was 1987... lol. But it's odd to notice a few things that don't mix sense in that period in the 80s. Lol, but overall pretty interesting movie for those interested. I give it a 6.5/10 lol.

Posted by: Rotom Havoc Apr 7 2009, 05:56 PM

twilight. my mom has EVERYTHING of twilight! movies, posters, books, you name it! shes watching the movie right now on DVD, which is probably the 12th time shes watching it, no lie! O_O

Posted by: foxinramen Apr 7 2009, 06:26 PM

well, for the newest movie I've last seen, would have to be Bolt ' o'
We've been so tight in budget I haven't seen many new movies < xP
For right now though, I last saw Sound of Music, and currently watching Mary Poppins Cx

Posted by: Lestat Apr 7 2009, 09:40 PM

I'm in the process of watching a movie.

The Crow with brandon Lee

Posted by: Christopher Wallken Apr 7 2009, 09:56 PM

In theaters, Hellboy 2

On TV, I can't remember I have on-demand so I see ALOT of movies, though bought was Slumdog which was one of the most awesome movies I have ever seen.

Posted by: Trynyti Apr 7 2009, 10:41 PM

Pretty sure it was Van Wilder. I was going to watch Love Guru the other night, but our blu-ray needed a software update for it to work Dx

Posted by: Kouyukki Apr 8 2009, 01:57 AM

WATCHMEN >3 amazing movie!! <3 <3 <3

Posted by: Lestat Apr 9 2009, 12:42 AM

well right now I'm watching Howls moving castle

Posted by: Kariya Apr 9 2009, 12:25 PM

Lol, I just watched another movie just yesterday. I saw the re-make of Race to Witch Mountain! I think that movie has more action and cars than Fast and Furious unimpressed.gif But yeah, I actually liked Race to Witch Mountain... pretty good, despite being a re-make. I despise people who think movies like these should not be re-made. With the current technology and graphics, we might as well XD

Posted by: Starscream Apr 12 2009, 08:48 PM

Gran Torino! I cried at the ending. sad.gif It was really good.

Posted by: lightbird Apr 13 2009, 10:46 AM

The last movie I saw at the cinema was probably The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and I loved it.

The last thing I watched on my laptop was Lilo & Stich, which I stopped after some hour or so, because I knew it would end like the usual late-time Disney blah blah blah.

Posted by: nebz5 Apr 13 2009, 08:09 PM

i just saw, saw agian and i watched it with my girlfriend cat.gif it was hilarious she still freaks out from that movie

Posted by: Kariya Apr 13 2009, 08:25 PM

I swear, I watch movies like crazy (especially in a movie theatre, I love the atmosphere there XD). My latest movie was Observe and Report. I found it REAL funny. Recommended for people who are slightly immature and above the age of 16 X3 A great movie with a group of friends :]

Posted by: Muirgen Apr 19 2009, 09:42 PM

The movie I saq recently, which was today. Was Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword. It came on Cartoon Network today. I liked it. =P

Posted by: Hikarii Apr 20 2009, 12:27 AM

Uh, I saw "Knowing". It was alright.

Posted by: Chrys Apr 20 2009, 12:34 AM

Last movie I saw in theatres that I liked was Coraline, 3-D. Quite the experience. cat.gif Last I saw on television was Emma, which I actually enjoyed, and the last I rented was The Fountain, which was quite profound in my opinion.

Posted by: TurkeyBeef Apr 20 2009, 12:37 AM

The last movie I saw was Body Melt. That movie is truly something else...

Posted by: Flamer Apr 20 2009, 12:00 PM

Saw the Fast and Furious last week. It was ok but the ending lost any drama it may have possesed becuase you saw vin diesel at the end of the third one. Still, a mindless action movie with a load of fast cars never did anyone any harm, and it was a enjoyable way to chill out after a long days revision happy.gif

In the theater it was Twilight. But at home, the last one was Mortal Kombat. >o>

Posted by: Palindrome Apr 20 2009, 06:27 PM

The last movie I've seen in Knowing. Sure, the anti-science and anti-atheism bugged the snot out of me, but it was an entertaining movie nonetheless. It was like Signs but good. xD

Posted by: BlobFish Apr 20 2009, 09:28 PM

Titanic, for the billionth time.
My friend is obsessed with that movie, and we've made it a tradition that every time I stay over at her house we have to watch that movie. It's just something we do.

Posted by: WickedThespian Apr 20 2009, 10:11 PM

I say Sunshine Cleaning yesterday. ^^; And Repo! The Genetic Opera... again. But it's always in my DVD player.

Posted by: Fallen Angel Apr 20 2009, 10:42 PM

Sadly, it was Monsters vs. Aliens. dry.gif I hate taking my little sister and her friends to the movies...

Posted by: Saybah Apr 20 2009, 10:49 PM

Last movie I saw... hmmm.... I hardly remember anymore.

I think it was Hellboy 2 and Ghost Rider (even if I did see them already before). Oh! Resident Evil Degeneration, good movie =D

Posted by: Seadragon Apr 20 2009, 10:54 PM

I rented Iron Man yesterday and watched it with my friend.

But my friend is a little younger than me, and kept interrupting the movie whenever he had a question to ask me, like...

"What is that airplane called? awesome.gif "

I couldn't watch the movie with him interrupting every few minutes. dry.gif

Posted by: MasochNihil Apr 22 2009, 02:34 PM

I last saw Requiem for a Dream, a film with Jared Leto. Damn it was incredibly depressing, but a very good film. Very well done. Definitely not for everyone.

Posted by: Sarge Apr 26 2009, 01:44 AM

Knowing. XD

I guess it'd be good if I was a Cage fan, but I'm not, so it wasn't. Had a lot of (unintentionally) funny moments though and the ending was pretty cool, though heavy handed.

I think it was Mary Poppins. .__.

Posted by: Dys Tuvai May 1 2009, 01:48 PM

At home....Resident Evil Degeneration

Posted by: Maesterlicious May 3 2009, 12:35 PM

Long movie. It's got a lot of those scenes that they stretch out way to long.

But overall, it was pretty good.

Today I watched "The Pursuit of Happyness." Awwwwww <3

I loved the Dark Knight. (loves Zimmer's work)

The illusionist? Isn't that about the magician in the 1800s? (i don't really know what time, not good with chronology)

Crank 2. It's Epic win.
Oh and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.

Posted by: KT2 May 4 2009, 10:41 PM

The last movie I saw was X Men: Origins, last night.

I was rather dissapointed. There were good moments, and Hugh Jackman does a great job as Wolverine once again... but the movie as a whole was just kinda -meh- .

I saw Up in theaters last weekend! It's brilliant! Had me laughing, crying, and the two 17 year old boys who saw it with me were even quoting all the funny parts after it was over.

We saw the 2D, but still. And it's waaay better than Wall-E imho. o_o

Posted by: Blak99Psy Jun 4 2009, 11:35 AM

"We're Back! : A Dinosaur's Story"

Best childhood memory ever. I bought it on DVD over the weekend and was so excited! I hadn't seen it in years!

Posted by: Flamer Jun 4 2009, 11:43 AM

Saw Wolverine a couple of weeks ago. It was rather poor to be honest. Just jumped from one big action scene to the next, without any real build of the characters or the storyline. Very choppy.

Posted by: Maesterlicious Jun 5 2009, 07:24 PM

Terminator: Salvation, if only for the sole purpose to laugh every time Christian Bale yelled at someone.

Something I didn't anticipate in it was a nude Arnold Schwarzenegger -- I was afraid of the dreams I'd have that night, but they were actually pretty tame, surprisingly. (Just Christian being all... father-like and overprotective and yelling at me not to go see the three wild Ponyta because I'd fall in the flooding ravine if I did idk, they MIGHT have been trashing his scene, who knows.)

Posted by: johnrichard1991 Jun 5 2009, 07:28 PM

Terminator: Salvation

It actually wasn't too bad movie.
I didn't see any flaws, but I may have to watch it again to see flaws.
(If I have to watch it a second time to see flaws, that makes it a good or decent movie)

Posted by: flygon master Jun 5 2009, 07:32 PM

I haven't been to the theater in a long time, I went to see Twilight that was the last movie I saw in theaters. The last one that I saw was Eragon, I still hate that movie, they screwed it up, but I love the books!

The Mist, for the first time. xD The ending had been ruined for me, so I didn't see any reason to watch it until my friend wanted to see it... also for the first time. It came out like, two years ago, and we haven't seen it until now. Gawsh, we're kinda slow.

Posted by: Flamer Jun 25 2009, 03:36 PM

Transformers 2. Was very good, although not quite as good as the first. The little robot who turned into the remote control car was hilarious. The fights between the robots where very good, lots of action, explosions, etc etc. But it was missing something. Can't put my finger on it, but its just wasn't quite as good as the first. Maybe it was the story, or maybe a bit too much explosions

Posted by: Retrospect Jun 25 2009, 04:54 PM

I just saw Transformers 2 yesterday as well, and I must say I liked it better than the first. I don't know, I think it just related to me more age-wise. Plus, I'm a sucker for cheesy comedy like the parents and Bee and when Sam screamed like a little girl. But my boyfriend who is an avid Transformers fan felt kind of the same way as you, Flamer. But I didn't really like the twins (mudflap and the other one). Their personalities were funny but there was just too much of them, and I didn't really like the way they were designed to look like 'hillbillies' but talk like white boys trying to be tough gang members. Face does not match voice syndrome, so to speak.

Posted by: bird of the stars Jun 25 2009, 07:38 PM

I saw TF2 recently, I liked it, especially with Wheelie(that little toy truck) and cranky old Jetfire, but... uh... I was kinda like o_o at the "twins", and their seemingly stereotyped humor and their obnoxiously weird head/face designs... but eh, if I took the movie too seriously like GeeWunners did, it wouldn't have been fun at all.

And mikey bay being himself and choosing another car for Sideswipe... argh, I wanted Lamborghini, dangit. Ah well.. wish they can bring in Sunstreaker for the next movie. noes.gif Sideswipe and Sunstreaker: Those are the REAL twin stars.

And Springer, since triple-changers are being considered in the third installment.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

It was good for the gratuitous explosions and awesome Decepticons (but Sideswipe from the Autobots was a total badass), but I was disappointed with the fact that it had waaaay too much content. Because of this, characters died too quickly and almost half the movie went unexplained. And, they recycled some Decepticons, which sorta irked me.

Yaaay another Coraline person! I was so happy to get the DVD, especially after going months without seeing the movie due to for some reason not taking the opportunity when it was in one of the second-run theaters (though that wasn't completely bad, as I'd already seen it twice before then anyway). And also I finally got to hear the Other Mother humming "Dreaming" again (which I hadn't noticed before until someone pointed it out on YouTube, but then I couldn't find that clip again). That's a really nice song... one of the reasons why I love the opening credits (the other reason being that, being someone who enjoys sewing, I think it's a cute and fascinating scene, even after finding out who was making the doll and why). Of course, it's just generally a beautifully-done movie, with the music as well as the visual stuff, especially considering everything was handmade.

She's a peach, she's a doll, she's a pal of mine!
She's as cute as a button in the eyes of everyone who's ever laid their eyes on Co-ra-line!
When she comes around exploring, mom and I will never ever make it boring! Our eyes will be on Coraline!"

I loved that movie so much. I just like that kind of creepy theme in general. The other father was my favorite character. I felt bad for him towards the end, though. I wanted to give him a hug so badly!

Watched the original 'The Transformers' movie. Though, I still think that the live action films are better...
