What was the first card you ever got from your very first pack?
Surprisingly, mine was a Holographic Venusaur - got it in fourth grade. I had no idea how rare it was until somebody told me. I lost them all somewhere along the line though... --------------------  Don Lemon: one sourpuss I would go sweet for. |

Well in 1st grade I got some free Pocket Monsters [about 1996-97] off my friend AJ. I only remember Poliwhirl out of the 4 cards he gave me. xD [A teacher took them away the same day and I stole them off her desk. >:/] The first pack of Pocket Monsters I bought I only remember holographic Smeargle, which I still have till this day.
My first english card was a holographic Kangaskhan [About erm...1998-99 I think] I bought in 3rd Grade. I got a whole bunch at once. I remember having a Poliwrath, Sabrina's Porygon, Beedrill, Brock's Geodude, and Brock's Diglett somewhere in there. I'm sure there were a whole bunch more, though.

Oddish... The first pokemon I saw and then Pikachu.
 It wasn't from a pack, I just saw it on display while shopping when I was wayy younger and it caught my eye and I'm like "WTF ITZ LIKE A WALKING WEED MMM.... My first pack, can't remember... I got a jungle series box set of like 60 or whatever though and it had a Holofoil Vaporeon and I loved it but my mom took it since she said it was valuable. I ask for it for every Christmas and she still hasn't given it back... And I won't get it till she dies or something. :< --------------------     |

Mine was a Charmander, one of the really old ones. I got a few after that, and traded a bunch, but I never traded that charmander <3

How come everyone on here says their first card is some rare holographic card? Are you to ashamed to say you got a plain card? Because there's just something wrong with everyone having their first card be a rare holographic one.

This is me being completely Serious. When I got my First booster pack I got the holographic Charizard. The one that was worth like $110 at that time. I'm dead serious. I went with my friends To go buy my first booster pack and when I got to his house They all opened the packs they had and they got some pretty good cards. I didn't expect much from mine when I started to open it. I got the usual Pokemon, Staryu, Squirtle, etc. But then I say the Charizard and I sat there for like 5 seconds in silence. After which I ran home to put it in my binder and was happy the rest of the day. After a month or so I showed it to some people in my class. All of a sudden my card turns up MISSING and thyus resulting into an Angry Matt. People told me who did it but the person wouldn't come clean so I had no real hardcore proof. I think I cried when I lost it. Your Ridicule is welcome, I can understand how lame it is to cry after losing a card.

I forget what my first card was. I think it was like... Squirtle or Nodoran Male or something... Or the Mew Card from the movie theater. That was awesome.
