Started out with totodile
1st Falkner- no one has trouble with the first gym. easy 2nd Bugsy- Pidgeotto nuff said. easy 3rd Whitney- UGHH I HATE MILTANK, and shes the only reason why, i think the only reason i won was i taught croconaw ice punch and it froze =D. HARD! 4th Morty- Took out his first few pokemon without much of a problem then gengar came and knocked mine out and got really lucky using metronome with togepi and used bite i think =D. Medium 5th Chuck- His poliwrath was the only thing that bothered me, dynamic punch always confused my team for some reason. medium 6th Jasmine- Not hard at all took her out with feraligatrs surf =]. easy 7th Pryce- I think i remember him being somewhat easy but i really dont remember what i used 8th Clair- Feraligatr and ampharos took her out without much problem =D. easy -------------------- |

Falkner: Easy
Bugsy: Easy Whitney: Hard. The Miltank is just a nightmare. When I first played the games, I didn't know that Normal type Pokemon are weak to Fighting type. Rollout really made my Quilava, Pidgeotto and Butterfree cry. Morty: Relatively easy mainly because I have Kadabra. Chuck: Medium. He can be tricky if your Pokemon is unfortunately hit by Dynamicpunch. Jasmine: Easy. Pryce: Easy Claire: Medium. I don't really find her that hard. I used my Kadabra! |

Falkner - Simple, just used the Onix you can get from trading in town.
Bugsy - Hoothoot rapes. Not even a challenge Whitney - Easy, just used the Machop traded in the Pokemall. Morty - Easiest, Furrett + Surf + Dig = Insta-win Chuck - Easy, Noctowl and Bellossom Jasmine - Feraligatr for all of them. My Feraligatr always knows Earthquake. Pryce - Probably the hardest because of the damn Piloswine. Ampharos for the most part. Claire - Pretty easy. Jynx and Ampharos is probably the easiest way for me. -------------------- |

Falkner - Easy, anything works really, especially after sprout tower training
Bugsy - Rock throw anybody? Whitney - Miltank can be annoying, but not much more than that. Morty - Hypnosis + Dream Eater + Decent speed Gengar = Annoying Chuck - Use something with Wing Attack or a Psychic move Jasmine - You get the Surf HM way before fighting her. Surf + Steelix' low Sp. Def and average HP = Win Pryce - Something with a Fire Move and something with an Electric move and you're set Claire - The Dragonairs are annoying at most, but Kingdra is a tough one to tackle, especially for it's lack of weaknesses. -------------------- |

Falkner - Neutral. I started with a Chikorita, but I'd level-ground a bit to get my Jigglypuff to learn Pound, and that was plenty to take me through.
Bugsy - Easy. Just had Woopy use moves like SLAM and it was pretty sweet. Whitney - Miltank was painful! Morty - Wigglytuff used ROLLOUT! Pretty effective stuff, even if it's not super-effective. Jasmine - Neutral. I think I mostly SURF'd past her. Chuck - Poliwrath hurt because my team was mostly normal-types. I didn't even have a bird to take him down with, so I think I ended up using Sheepy (my Ampharos) and just thunderpunching him. Pryce - Pretty easy. Thunderpunched up to Piloswine/Mamoswine, then switched to my Furret, Frazzy, and SURF'd him. Claire - Fairly easy. Just body-slammed and used similar moves until she died, since nobody knew an ice-type move. |

this is based on my first run throughs
Falkner - semi difficult considering I didnt expect a move like mud slap, totodile had to take care of it Bugsy - Easy, HootHoot took care of it Whitney - difficult, I had Croconaw, Hoothoot, Togepi, Flaaffy, Ghastly, and Ledian. keept infatuating and putting my pokemon to sleep Morty - Very Difficult, At the time it didn't occur to me ghosts where weak to ghosts and Croconaw's Bite was now a Dark type move Chuck - Medium, Noctowl had to do most of the work, Ampharos took care of Poliwrath Jasmine - Difficult, I had nothing ground type, nor fire Pryce - Medium, Ampharos took care of everything, Feraligatr dealt with Piloswine Clair - HARD, I wasn't prepared for Dragon types (I assumed i'd be dealing with dragons when i reached the E4), had to abuse Suicune a bit -------------------- |

Falkner - Super easy, my Quilava was nearly twice his highest level (9, was it?)
Bugsy - I owned with Quilava Whitney - URGH, friggin Rollout. I lost once, then just barely pulled through with Poliwag Morty - Not bad Chuck - Easy for my Noctowl, but Poliwrath gave me a bit of trouble Jasmine - Easy Pryce - Easy Claire - Okay. I wasn't prepared, though. -------------------- -

Falkner: I started with Chikorita and he was still a cakewalk. I had a Jigglypuff that easily wiped his team out.
Bugsy: Another cakewalk gym. By this point I had my Flaafy and I just shocked his bugs into oblivion.] Whitney: Fairly easy, considering my team had no weakness to Rollout. Morty: Easy, and I didn't use Kadabra. Chuck: Easy, my Ampharos obliterated his Poliwrath. Jasmine: This was the worst Gym Leader by far. Her Steelix obliterated my team every time, and my only Fire-type move was Ampharos and Fire Punch. Pryce: Ampharos and Meganium obliterated him without trying. Sadly on this file that's how far I got. I'm busy training to take down her dragons. I've beaten all 16 gyms many times, and the only tough one from this point on is Blue only because of his high levels/mixed team. -------------------- [align=center]I am the earth-mother, and you are all flops.

Price - Ampharos with fire pawnch. 1st try. Claire - Feraligatr with Ice Punch and Ice Beam. 2nd try. -------------------- |

The Eckruteak city Gym leader- hate him, hate him, HATE HIM!
Anyone got any tips about beating his annoying self-healing Seels, etc? I have: Level 31 Onix, Fraligatr, Amphorios, Vulpix, Krabby, Machoke, and Shiny!Garydos. Level 26 Murkrow, 22 Slowpoke, and 24 Poliwhirl. -------------------- "The world spins on pain. I realised that if there is a supreme power, then it is our duty to become it's moral superior." -Lord Havelock Vetinari, Patrician of Ankh-Morpork "The sentient may perceive and love the universe, but the universe may not perceive and love the sentient. The universe sees no distinction between the multitude of creatures and elements which comprise it. All are equal. None is favored. The universe, equipped with nothing but the materials and the power of creation, continues to create: something of this, something of that. It cannot control what it creates and it cannot, it seems, be controlled by its creations (though a few might deceive themselves otherwise). Those who curse the workings of the universe curse that which is deaf. Those who strike out at those workings fight that which is inviolate. Those who shake their fists, shake their fists at blind stars."- Michael Moorcock, author. |

First gym's always been a bit of a cakewalk, but I do remember having a trial of a time with Bugsy's Scyther. Whitney still intimidates me. Uhm...
Morty actually never gave me too much trouble! I'm sure that was a real STAB in the gut for him. Chuck's a bit tougher, and Jasmine is...Jasmine. Girl can be brutal. Honestly, though, out of every single gym leader it has always been Pryce that kicked me to the curb. Augh, ice types....! Augh, sliding ice puzzles...! Augh....! With him I just try to hit fast and hard, but I'm beginning to think a more insidious approach would be better. Claire's got the atmosphere, but fight wise is a bit of a let down. -------------------- |

My memory is a bit fuzzy, so I might not be clear.
Falkner : Easy. Bugsy : The only time I had difficulty was when I used Chikorita as my starter. Ugh >< Whitney : Female Machop is manly. Morty : See the quote. QUOTE(How I beat Morty) 1/When his Gengar came out, I sent out Pidgeotto. 2/I let it getting asleep by that ghost's hypnosis. 3/Then I switched out to Eevee, Gengar used Dream Eater, but failed. 4/I switched out again to Pidgeotto, trying to put my Eevee to sleep with Hypnosis, missed as well. 5/Repeat the 3rd operation until it uses Shadow Ball. Chuck : Pidgeotto and Ampharos round-house kicked him in the face. Jasmine : Steelix was a bit hard to beat, but Feraligatr's Surf took care of it. Pryce : Medium. Claire : Kingdra hates Lapras' singing skills. -------------------- |
