Took a break from A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin to reader Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden. A very good book, a little sad.

I have literally just read The Fault In Our Stars ahead of the movie release.
I'm not gonna lie, I took me a couple of attempts to get through. Not because it's a difficult book to get into, but because it's SO. DAMN. HEARTBREAKING. It is a very good book, I would definitely recommend it. -------------------- I do gaming videos! Please have a look! I'm about to finish City of Heavenly Fire.I would recommend it and anything else written by Cassandra Claire.
-------------------- Wait, who's "Flame?" I see no "Flame" here, and I doubt there ever will be a "Flame," in plain sight or otherwise. Besides, you wouldn't call, sweet, precious Flare by any other name, would you?

Just finished Fires on The Plain (also known as Nobi), by Ooka Shohei, for class. A great book that describes the grueling conditions of war and one's slow and painful descent into madness. I recommend it for anyone who is into reading war literature.
The film version (1959 version) is okay. It is sometimes a tad too goofy since many of the actors overact their scenes, so I prefer the novel; however, some people prefer the movie version since it has a more reliable narrator than the novel. I have yet to see the 2014 version, so I can't really comment on that. This post has been edited by Candidate Psyduck: Feb 19 2015, 01:38 PM -------------------- |

Mind Games by Kiersten White. It was alright, don't know if I'll be picking up the sequel. It's a duology, so I should, but eh.

Definitely my favourite read so far bees are incredibly cute and intricate organisms and the book really gives an insight into the coordination within their kingdoms. -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. The last book I read was Ender's Shadow, by Orson Scott Card. Great parallel to Ender's Game, but having read Ender's perspective first, I found this one a bit lacking in details. Still, I appreciated how Bean saw Bonzo dead before Ender ever had suspicions about that possibility.
Reading Ranger's Apprentice: Icebound Land (book 3) at the moment. -------------------- I used to be Cyogre, ILoveTaillowHesCute, TaillowIsCuteAndCool, Tart Spop, Tartius Spopius, Tartii, King of the Eevees and MasteroftheFlames.
