Since Pokémon end up being deleted after being in the Shelter for so many hours, what if there was a Graveyard area where they could go for part of the time? Like for eggs, they're deleted after 36 hours, so what if they were in the egg area for the first thirteen hours, then were moved to the Graveyard? Same for hatched things, only the amount of time until they moved areas would be different.
Oh, and have the area have both eggs and hatched things, like thirty of both, so there's not an overload of eggs or hatched things. This is basically the old Shelter, except it only has Pokémon that are about to be killed off. ^^ -------------------- |

This is a pretty good idea; users could claim Pokemon closer to "dying" (I prefer to call it embarking, myself) instead of some of the newly dropped ones. There's only two changes I would make to your idea: First, have it be only the last hour instead of after a third of the time like you're suggesting. Second, I wouldn't call it the Graveyard, that implies they've already died. I would call it something more along the lines of deathbed, because they haven't died yet.

Don't really see point in this as pokemon and eggs that have not been adopted in the 1st day or so its obvious no one wants them and there will very likely be more of the same in the normal shelter. Only exception I'd make is if any was shiny they should get extra chance of being picked as most people will want them. But obviously this wouldn't work with the extra shelter or everyone would know they werre shiny. Maybe eggs that will hatch shiny don't get deleted instead they are the 1st ones to be shown until adopted.

I like this idea because it would help saving unwanted pokemons, it would help projects like savior project.

Second, I wouldn't call it the Graveyard, that implies they've already died. I would call it something more along the lines of deathbed, because they haven't died yet. Well calling it a Graveyard was just because I couldn't think of anything else to call it that was an actual place in the Pokémon World (in this case though I thought of Graveyard like in Lavender Town and such). Plus, I think Graveyard would look nicer up with Shelter and Safari Zone than Deathbed would ^^;; Don't really see point in this as pokemon and eggs that have not been adopted in the 1st day or so its obvious no one wants them and there will very likely be more of the same in the normal shelter. Maybe eggs that will hatch shiny don't get deleted instead they are the 1st ones to be shown until adopted. ? There wouldn't be a point making a section where just shiny eggs would go. People would stalk it and grab anything they could. This idea is so that if someone wants, say, a Makuhita, instead of going to the Shelter or Safari Zone to find one, they decide that they want to see if there are any in the Graveyard that could be "saved." Or if someone feels compelled to save the Pokémon that are going to be deleted soon, this could make them happy. I like this idea because it would help saving unwanted pokemons, it would help projects like savior project. Exactly.~ (: -------------------- |

It's an interesting idea. I think it would be better if it worked more like the old shelter & allowed for more than 30 species in a viewing (maybe 60, maybe somewhere between - the Admins could calculate the best number based on server requirements). Maybe it could be for those in their last 12 hours in the shelter.
As I've been shiny hunting, I've also been hoping for eggs "older" than 1 hour to hopefully hatch in less than 1 hour of my having them. I think that for those who mass click and can sustain getting an egg to full maturity in less than an hour, this area might be a bigger incentive for those trying to break their own (or other's) hatching records. I'm not sure I like the name "Graveyard" either. While I understand the appropriateness of the name as far as the games are concerned, it doesn't have the right feeling for me. It's no different than the other suggested name of "death bed". The ghoulish connotation just doesn't sit right. Unfortunately, I can't think of a suitable substitute. -------------------- |

I just can't think of a name that gives justice to it but doesn't seem like a place involving death. And if the mods think it's a good idea, they could put it up as whatever they want and then just change the name at a later date when someone comes up with something better. Other bad name ideas that have the same problem as the two above: necropolis, catacomb, cemetary, mortuary, crypt, sepulchre, tomb, polyandrium, death's door, etc. -------------------- |

That is a great idea and would really help the Savior Project.Though it wouldn't be nise calling it the 'Graveyard' because it might scare younger members and it seems the Pokemon were already dead.May I suggest calling it something like 'Heaven' or 'The Jouney' or something along those lines.

Overload I'd prefer 'The Journey' over 'Heaven' Since Heaven seems like GPX favors Christians more then most.Like they're forcing/favoring a religion.
I agree with you on the most part. But what I don't agree is the third section.I believe if it happens all the extra eggs that are already in the regular sections move. The Legendary/Novelty/Rare eggs would be easier to see since all their cover are gone. Like the Safari. It might get dropped down to 100-150 due to 40 species are on 'The Journey' now. Then lets say someone drops a couple of Novelties they'd be to easy to see. I'd say more Novelties are a great idea but they're supposed to be a challenge to take.Since you're competing against 50+ people. So instead of the last 12 hours I'd say last 1-5 hours? -------------------- |

Maybe it could be better if when you place your mouse over a Pokemon/Egg in the shelter a small message appears telling you how many hours it has left to be deleted.

Both ideas are great but I must say this ones better. Novelties and Legends don't get their cover blown and groups like the Savior Project can pluck off eggs that are close to getting deleted. |

I'd probably go with Pokemon Tower (The Journey isn't a physical place, and Heaven also seems like they've already died). Throwing out one more option: Mt. Pyre. Still pretty much dead, but....
And I think they should only be in this third portion of the shelter For their last two hours as eggs & their last four hours as Pokemon. Just saying. -------------------- |
