Shuckle, and rare candies |

I've heard somewhere that if you attach an oran berry to shuckle it'll turn into berry juice and then a rare candy. Is this true? If so how long does it take? And does it matter if the shuckle is in your team or not?

It is true, but only in Gold/Silver/Crystal as they can't make Berry Juice anymore.
I hear they can make berry juice in FR/LG, but I am unsure if it will turn into a Rare Candy -------------------- |

No, those were just normal berries in G/S/C.
I might test this out sometime, if I remember to play Pearl. EDIT: I looked around on the internet about this, and I only found one mention of it, and it stated that it could only be done in the 3rd gen. Yeah, I heard that it turned into Berry Juice as well. I know that they definatly have berry juice in FR/LG and Emerald. They don't have it in R/S or D/P and I don't remember there being any berry juice in G/S/C. Might try this. I'll need to catch a Shuckle first though!

Bulbapedia isn't real clear on it, it says gen II or III in different parts of the article and under the drinks article,though it's clear you can't make rare candy in III.
I'm trying to make my shuckle make berry juice for the hell of it, even if it's slightly less useless than the oran berry used to make it. Though I'm not sure if it would be time based or step based. It's kinda hard to find any information about this, all google shows is forums of guys making fun of the person asking the question  Google "shuckle berry juice" for a good laugh, or at least a chuckle. the Berry->Berry Juice->Rare Candy mechanic existed only in Gen 2. In Gen 3 it was Oran Berry->Berry Juice with no Rare Candy involved. Gen 4 just ditched it altogether.
Effectively robbing Shuckle of its only functionality as something other than the most annoying wall in the history of PokeMon-kind. --------------------  No longer available on GPX+ for now. Don't bother clicking me. Thank you. |
