I am from the USA in the state of Montana. Where we are we kind of do have an accent. The elder generation, when speaking, tends to add an r sound to words. For example instead of "wash", it almost sounds like "warsh".

I live in Scotland. ^-^ Yay, cold weather! XD
Lived here for as long as I've been alive, and have never been to any other country. Same place, same city, same house.

Jeez, so many Americans and Canadians.... ._.

Hey all
I live in Northern New York of the United States, I live in the Adirondack Mountains, lots of forests, lakes, and rivers, lots of nice wildlife, like eagles, bears, foxes, wolves, etc. I like it here but would love to visit other countries.

Hey, there are bigots everywhere.

I really don't like country stereotypes. Each country has its heritage and traditions and stuff, but no one country has an entire population of people that fit one narrow stereotype! I hate the whole "Americans are stupid and fat" thing. The USA doesn't even have the world's highest percentage of obese people- I believe it's Mexico, but it's been a while since I checked, so I could be wrong? Although I will admit the public school system is awful, and I really wish they spent a little less time on US history and more time on world history. I feel like I shouldn't have to look up where other countries in the world are, and what notable history they have- I should have learned this shit through elementary school, not just high school!

But I don't know what school is like in other first world countries, so it would be pointless for me to say that US schools are better or worse than, say, European schools. (I've heard they're much worse, but hey, that's not my saying.) Comparisons aside, I will admit US schools have many flaws, and if it was up to me, there would be quite a lot of things I'd change.

And of course I don't like the stereotypes about other countries/races either (eg the French are snots, the Chinese all have obsessive parents that make them play piano and violin, etc), but those aren't so much about me, so it's not... you know.

Sorry. I should probably save this stuff for the ranting forum. Onto the main topic...

As you have probably guessed, I am from the USA, the state being Ohio. However, I am not very... patriotic... so I plan (more of a hope than a plan, I guess) to move somewhere else after I go to college for... whatever it is I'll go to college for. Luckily, my parents are the type of people who like to travel, so I've been to several different states, and I've been to Europe (once)... and I'm actually going again this Sunday! (Although it's not actually with my parents, it's with this program.... thing.) I'm beyond excited! Even if I don't move somewhere other than the US for my adulthood, I am definitely not going to live in the area I do now. Another state, or the other end of Ohio, or something. Or maybe I'll move around a bit before deciding. I don't know, but it's not like I don't have plenty of time...

I was making fun of the stereotype, not saying that I believed in it. Sorry if that came off wrong.

Also, in regards to the part about not being very patriotic...I can relate. I'd much rather be in Canada.
