I STILL find it eerie that his middle name is Hussein and that the Democratic party's name ("Obama / Biden") so closely resembles a smushed up version of the name "Osama Bin Laden".

Either way, I'm happy. I was all for Obama. I would've voted him today if my registration hadn't been too late in the year. sad.gif

Congratulations to Obama. I wasn't following it that closely, cause I live in England, but I am open minded enough, (if that's the right term) to know that the US Presidential eletcions will effect us over here as well, so I hope he does a good job.

Yay! Our first minority president! I really didn't care who would win. Both candidates are obviously qualified for the job, otherwise they wouldn't have come as far as they did.

I have to agree that it affects us in England. I didn't follow it too closely either. The presidential elections affect a lot more countries than England, such as Israel, China, Japan, Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia, Germany, and a lot more. And yes, congratulations to him.

Well I'm in Canada and many people in my high school were talking about it today. I'm glad that Obama won, I was hoping that he would.

He sounded like he had no confidence when he did his speech. My sister has something against Texas. I just don't know what it is.

I don't trust either, but I believe Obama is the lesser of two evils.

My school was pissed because the pro-choice candidate won. tongue.gif
Even though I'M pro-life, I believe that it is not the biggest issue (even though everyone else says otherwise).

Well Texas is a Republican state is it not? I remember feeling like an outcast cuz El Paso is actually Democratic unlike the rest of Texas and my family is Republican for the most part. Then I laughed at them when Rick Perry became governor instead of Tony Whatever and got $10 from a bet. Good times.

Anyway, New York is Democratic and everyone was for Obama.

Though I was a McCain supporter, I honestly congratulate Obama as our new President. Regardless of who wins, it's the duty of Americans to support a new President and hope he/she will do the job well. There's four years of this guy, and hopefully he can improve America. ^_^.gif

Not everyone thinks there's going to be four years.

This election went by fucking quickly; it was a rather anticlimactic finish if I must say so myself. It also made me realize how conservative my old town was; I was a token Liberal(/Libertarian) there.

I feel kinda like an outcast right now

I voted for McCain, and will openly admit to my lack of faith in Obama, if he can live up to his word more power to him and good job, but I don't foresee much luck in him changing our world.

Although, this kinda contradicts my own statement I and a proud follower of three things (more commonly stated in the movie Troy by Prince Hector, but it holds true none the less)

"Honor thy woman
Honor thy King
Defend your country"

He is the next president as as such I will honor him as such and do my part to continue helping this country. Just don't have to be happy about it

ps. the dog thing was weak... get a better pet

"That Anaconda you wanted is already on its way" or ...Komodo dragon...come on...something wicked.

I'm glad, I've supported him for years, he's always been my favorite candidate. It's amazing how far America has come. More still needs to be done, but we're on the right track. I trust that Obama will represent the US to the best ability, and that he will serve us well.

Whooo, I'm still in the minority!

I DON'T TRUST OBAMA. I don't mind a minority president. Just not this one.

HE SPEAKS IN RIDDLES AND TRIES TO GIVE OFF AN INFALLIBLE IMAGE. INSTANT DISTRUST.

Honestly, so many people were taken in by the whole "CHANGE!" thing that they must not have thought that change can be negative as well as positive. That and he's the Democratic party's tool. JUST LOOK AT WHO HIS VP IS, PEOPLE!

RONALD REAGAN/THEODORE ROOSEVELT FTW no i can't vote why do you ask
