Anyone else just have a 504 Gateway Time Out on the forums? Is this related to fixing the problem?

Mobile is the only site I haven't patched yet, let me jump on that quick.
edit: Done. The 504 should not be related; those just happen sometimes. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!

I had one earlier as well, sometime between 11am and 12pm.
I did try to go on mobile at 10:47am exactly, and I got a white page with this message: Fatal error: Class 'Memcached' not found in /home/gtsplus/public_html/gpxplus/includes/memcached.php on line 12 I don't know if it has anything to do with the redirect, which I did get - but only once I got on my desktop. I didn't try on my mobile after the aforementioned error. I took a screenshot of that error as well. Haven't run a virus scan yet, but I should soon. |

That error was from something we were doing -- it's fine. Those times correspond to before I posted about the issue being patched.

I've just run into one of these invasive ads whilst loading up gts+ on an adroid device. Adultfriendfinder was the name of the (malware? Let's call it malware).

Sadly, old versions of the Android web browser do not support the security headers I have in place... one of the downsides of the fragmented Android ecosystem, with not always being able to have the latest version of Android or its browser. The earliest version to support it is 4.4.
It would be safer if you're able to install either Chrome for Android or Firefox for Android. Please note that we're still mapping out our plan for completely eradicating this issue. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!

Ah. That explains it. My version was 4.1.2. I do have Chrome and Firefox installed though so I shall use them instead. I wish y'all godspeed in tackling this nasty issue completely.

Well, it just happened to me... I'm using an Older version of Opera. (because the newer version sucks.. where do I find the damn extentions?!)
And with firefox my anti-virusprogram alerts me about maleware :/ But that was days ago, I cannot confirm things with my older firefox version right now because GPX is broken and unusable there all of a sudden. |

Just happened to me too, I'm using internet explorer at work because that's the only browser my work supports. At home, I use the latest version of Chrome, so hasn't happened yet.
Thankfully I had multiple tabs open and I could see the headings of the tab and managed to close it without opening the tab. -------------------- |

Well, butts.
Happened to me again too. My GPX+ is on the fritz and I went to see if it was working again and I got redirected. -------------------- Light is a spectrum. Why limit yourself to a single hue? I thought it was a good idea to say that opera(23.0) gave me a warning about malware when I tried to access gpx. It was apparently reported by Yandex. The message appears to be gone after I closed and opened the browser trying to get the english message. I primarily use chrome for the site anyway.
Here is the message. Spoiler (click to show )

JavaScript files, on GPXPlus, are now served over Amazon's S3 cloud service, thereby killing off the power of this malware completely (from the users' perspective, since it worked by hijacking the JavaScript files that the server itself served).
The forums still serve JavaScript files from our local server via Nginx, so they're still affected, but the fix we put in place two weeks ago will still prevent them from loading. Using Amazon S3 is our first step in eradicating the issue completely, as we potentially migrate. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!

Are you using an up to date browser? Which browser are you using?

It's done it on IE, Safari, and Chrome Canary. All updated to current versions.

What OS do you have, including version number?
This is relevant because the fix that was put in place only works for up to date browsers. If you are running a version of windows that is too old, then it can't get the up to date version of IE. And Apple apparently stopped updating Safari for not-Mac platforms, so that's generally not recommended. I wouldn't know why it does it in Chrome Canary, which is supposed to be a channel for testing future Chrome releases. But I think it would be a good idea to just use regular Chrome. -------------------- All my stuff is viewable by everyone on my public page. I'm not running windows on this comp, and not sure about my phone.
EDIT: Also it just started within the past mont or so, though I'd not had any issues before even when I'd heard about some before. This post has been edited by Nemu: Dec 8 2014, 02:55 PM -------------------- Stuffs. (click to show ) |
