So much for the 17th of September.

The crowd roars. Cheers are screamed. Mya Castform bounds onto the platform with a sheet of paper and a retro green microphone, a winning smile pinned to her face.
MC: "Now, after AGES of deliberation, the results are out at last! (Blame that on Lucy, our judge!)The contestants are here next to me waiting with what I hope is nervousness and bated breath, not, uh, something else. Hehe.
Before we begin, I wish to reiterate rule 6 of the official Hoenn Contest rules. The quality of entries this year met the amazing standards in 2010. The decision-making was difficult again, since I'm sure every contestant put in lots of effort.(All this was written by Lucy.)
Right off the bat was the enthusiastic BloodBlink, with a magnificent Dustox recolour. It's obvious this wasn't rushed at all, precision and care given to this work of art.
Next up, Pikalover10, who presented us/me with a breathtaking Kirlia, Ralts, Shedinja, Cacnea, Spoink, Swablu, Manetric-coloured splice. Hoo-wee! That's a mouthful! Anyone can tell the Pokemon chosen in the splice all corresponded to each other, besides being Hoenn Pokemon. Swablu wings weren't stuck on some random Swellow, they were on Kirlia, who had the wonderful grace to have a halo and other angelic stuff too.(...)
Third is a stunning piece of pixel artwork depicting a Gardevoir, by Lolhammy/Boblitt. At first glance it seemed like 'another dumb picture', but immediately afterwards I could see much careful shading and consideration was put into this, something I'm gonna definitely think about in judging.
Our fourth participant is Thunderpaws, who gives us..."
MC looks down at her paper, frowning for half a second.

Last, but least, oops, notleast, hehe, is BurningLeaf's...picture. The thing that could win her this competition would be the background. Beautiful. Strummapendiddlyumptious! Yay!(Not.)

That sums our introductions. I really hope I didn't forget anyone, that would be awkward! Let's move on to PRIZEGIVING!~
After the first knockout round, the winners our judge Lucy came up with were: everyone except BurningLeaf. Um, very sorry, everyone else, could you step forward please."
BurningLeaf is quite obviously fighting the urge to punch Mya Castform.
"We're down to four, meaning we can do one-on-one comparisons!
After that/this round, we come up with our first, second and third winners! Huzzah!(Stuff you, Lucy.)
Our cool third place winner is...Thunderpaws! Your gijinka was...um...unique, well presented, and awesomesauce, in a nutshell! Tee-hee!
And now, in second place...we have Lolhammy/Boblitt! That pixel art was...um...unique, well presented, and awesomesauce, in a nutshell! Tee-hee!(What?! I said that about Thunderpaws!)
The moment you've all been waiting for...in first place, we'll be back after the break!
Just kidding!
It's between BloodBlink and Pikalover10 now. One will emerge victorious but the other one will have come...um...'consolation'.
BloodBlink. Your recolour was almost perfect. Lucy struggled to find anything you could have done better!
Pikalover10. Brilliance, diversity...that sprite was quite the contender.
But in the end only ONE WINNER CAN BE CROWNED HOENN CONTEST WINNER OF 2011. For the fifth time, I cannot express how difficult judging was, trying to steer clear of just awarding a tie and let that be the end of it.
No! Lucy says here she must be BRAVE! Cross the ultimatum!(What...?)

The verdict was...
