Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ PANE RP School _ Partner Characters

More questions! Yay! Because questions are good. I actually feel that this one warrants its own topic, too, so that future roleplayers might find this more easily.

So, partner characters...... how does leveling them up work? My main character is Scott and my partner is Amber; if Scott gets 15 levels during a roleplay, does Amber automatically get 15 levels so she can keep pace, even if she doesn't show up in the roleplay or only shows up for a post or two? Or is she graded separately?

Also, since she is a side character, do I need to make capture/evolution/move request posts for her team before I capture/evolve/teach TM's? (I presume the answer is yes but no harm in making sure)

I think that's all the partner questions for now...... but there might be more later.

For leveling: What I did is just made sure the average levels were about equal. (Or otherwise, that my partner's were a bit lower). So, even if your partner wasn't involved in your RP where you got 15 levels, you can assume that s/he was off doing something else. I think you should be able to have some freedom with this, so as long as your partner's average level isn't higher than yours, it'll be fine.

I don't think this is officially in the rules (and we haven't been following this rule to my knowledge) but I'm gonna make a judgment call and say that, yes, partners do need to do a capture request. Note that we'll probably be a little more lenient with partner requests.

From Partner Request thread:

QUOTE
5. Partner's pokemon team shares the level average of the main's team. Upon creation, they can have any pokemon under the sun (except legendaries, pseudo-legends, and fossils) and can obtain more (make requests in capture request thread). Evolved pokemon are also allowed, so long as the total levels remain in the level average.

If your main character's level average goes up, so does the the partner's.
