Sorry if this is the wrong area to ask this, but how do I get a Shiny Ditto? Like I know you get a Ditto egg by doing the "Transforming the Heart" exploration. But like you can only do that 12 times a year basically. Am I supposed to just hope I get super lucky or just spend years trying to get it?

On top of the Dittos that you can get from the exploration, from time to time Ditto eggs will spawn in the lab that you can get. Of course, they aren't there all of the time and typically aren't in the lab long since so many people want shiny Ditto. You'll still have to get quite lucky!

Alternatively, if you get lucky in a site event you may get a Sh. Voucher Plus, which lets you directly acquire a Ditto egg that will hatch as a guaranteed shiny. That's not really a more reliable way to get a shiny Ditto without a significant time commitment during events, though.
