Could we maybe get a little icon that tells us when we've earned an additional shelter grab, where the daycare man and vs seeker and such sit?

Somebody yesterday found themselves with 250 grabs over the day... getting a warning each time would soon be annoying... ^^'

Do we lose grabs for not interacting with the proper berry? Or does it just not increase grabs?

No, the shelter pass gives you a certain amount of grabs... that can increase as you interact with pokemons.
