I'm very sure about these things: People here will get mad at the woman. People will think that the only right one was Tim. People will disagree here. Yes, I KNOW you all will disagree here, me too, but please, just say your opinions about what caused this debate in the show. First of all, I personally blame the GAMER not the video game, the gamer is taking it TOO seriously and need to get outside. I'm sure all of the audience are a bunch of 60 year olds who have never played any video games before. That woman just babbles her mouth without even thinking. Sure, "Violence for entertainment is wrong." But who said, video games are violence for entertainment? She blames all of the video games for those massacres, but didn't she notice anything? Movies, such as Saw and Sweeney Todd are WAY more violent. (Or the same violence level) Blasphemy! I play these violent video games myself, I am young, and NOTHING has happened to me. I mean NOTHING. Also, sign this. http://playstuff.tumblr.com/post/471266385/ignorance -------------------- ayy

Also, the fact that they are only covering one type of game. What about this forum and the people here? What, are they gonna say we're gonna go out and shoot a fire hose at each other? Or maybe Sonic games. Are we gonna roll through each other? Maybe, maybe Mario could have some negative side effects (eating weird mushrooms) but seriously! Take the perspectives from the actual gamers not some weirdos who have probably played 1 or 2 games ever. Yea they were monitered, but did the gamers ever get a say in it?!

My experience with violent video games is I play those so I don't do those things in real life.
If happen to go home wanting to punch a baby, all I do is Riot gun a bunch of zombies in Resident Evil 4 and the feeling goes away. If they're going to yell at me for playing violent video games, then they need to yell at the people who spend 30 minutes on a punching bag after work, or ride roller coasters on the weekend. I play those games because it relieves stress. I can garuntee that if you take those away, and I'm not the only one who will say this, you will take away one of the only ways I can alleviate stress, and I will end up more moody/violent than before. -------------------- space...spacespace...wanna go to space...I'm in space...are we in space...I wanna into space, are you space? That is a very baised clip that appears to be set up and thus cant be trusted. My view is playing violent video games shouldnt be a problem if you can tell the difference between real life and a game.

You know, people get too carried away with books, too, not to mention a variety of subjects. It's not just videogames and violence.
It really is up to people to be able to differentiate between fantasy and reality, and to keep such media out of the hands of those who can't tell the difference. They can go watch Dora the Explorer or whatever, but we'll need to make sure they don't run off to South America screaming in Spanish with a monkey (that they've somehow managed to dye purple) in tow... :V -------------------- :V

I think the idiots who get addicted to video games and do crazy shit because "they saw it in a game", they would be as vulnerable with other common addictions like alcohol, tobacco, and other common drugs. As well as doing stupid shit from watching something on TV and/or movies.
Parents who complain that their kids are playing or watching a violent game or movie.. there is no longer an excuse that can't stop it, because now TV's and game consoles have the parental control option, they are either lazy to do it or learn about it, or their kids convince them not to put it. --------------------
