Well. The viewwhore-lord himself has to go. Oh well. byebye to my egg hatching. Adblocking thing is killing me.. *puts all 69 party images on other forum and awaits a banning of it -_______-" * I wonder how the heck I'm going to get more views. hmm. I'd honestly pay 20 bucks to get that privilige back rather then giving 20 bucks to be a donor. But that's just me.

BTW, can a link to this topic be put on the GPX news header? I think some people may not come outside of the GPX section to see this.

I'd honestly pay 20 bucks to get that privilige back rather then giving 20 bucks to be a donor. But that's just me. Guys, behold. The kind of abuse that got this privilege restricted in the first place. though fyi, [12:17:52] <&Rankurusu> the fact is having that many images in a signature is not only abuse of the party images, it's against signature rules in the first place QUOTE And the codes have been removed, you can't expect someone to take them out within seconds of reading the topic. And I doubt me doing this to begin with (as I don't even give out my party code, so it's not a part of that stupid sig trade nonsense) really contributed even 1% of the problem, so don't act like it's me alone that tipped the scale. We're giving you until the end of the week. I'd never have seen this if people on the chat didn't talk about it. Basically because I'm not really going into the forums other that the gpx part. So this should also be posted in the gpx updates section or in the header on gpx itself. It's been done. Good call! -------------------- |

Glad this rule doesn't effect me. I never understood why people did that to begin with. Uh, there's multitudes of reasons. I, for one, have been having a hell of a time even using the net recently, as it's been going down constantly, so it was nice for a friend to even consider carting around my code until we figured out what the deal with our connection was. Sure, there was sig abuse going on, but there were plenty of legit reasons why some people did it. Doesn't matter if you understand or not. /Shrug Oh well. Isn't this how it always goes? We can't ever have nice things because people go and abuse something, and we get that privilege taken away. Same song every time. Question: Are you still allowed to have other small images along with the 12-image-limit for GPX images?

Question: Are you still allowed to have other small images along with the 12-image-limit for GPX images? Yes, so long as it is within the limits as established in the rules. -------------------- [align=center]add me for daily clicks [735/1000]

The only issue I have with this is that I have to remove my shinies in my spoiler tab. Oh well.

This is horrible. I understand why people who view-whore for themselves and friends are taking advantage of signatures but I really think Pokemon not in a user's party should NOT count against these limits.
For example people (like me) who keep their shinies in their signature or like to show off legendary Pokemon or some such are going to be unfairly affected because no more than six of these Pokemon can be obtaining any experience at a time. All that really happens is that people see what cool stuff we own. I understand all we have to do is take the links off to keep to the new rule but that kind of ruins it because then it's just a picture and no proof the person has actually obtained that Pokemon. I see why the people think view-whoring is a problem but if Pokemon can't be gaining experience then why should it be considered a problem? If there's any way to change this to limit users to 12 experience-gaining Pokemon at one time and everything else is okay then I, and I imagine lots of other people, would like to see this implemented. *Goes to edit shinies in sig in case Zerxer doesn't see fit to edit the rule* -------------------- |

You know, I never thought about hosting other parties in my signature before this rule change. The thought never crossed my mind.
If I was to consider doing something like this for a couple of people would a single image that linked to the party (similar to what I created for my party in my signature) be allowed? From what I read, I'd think I'd still be on the right side of the rule since I would be using 1 image (rather than a party image) per party. I'd just have to make sure to limit it to no more than 12 parties (although I doubt I'd even take it that far). -------------------- |

LOL. I am beginning to think that I'm the only GPX user who has "turn off signatures" enabled on their settings. I keep forgetting GPX even has signatures. LOL. This must explain all that white space after posts. I might have to enable signature views again just to see what these look like.
*UPDATE* Ah. That's why I have the viewing feature disabled. A lot of signatures take up more space then the post itself. I think I'll go back to the way things were (for me). This post has been edited by Mamanator: Aug 26 2010, 04:32 PM -------------------- |

Awww, good-bye to my shinies.
Well, aside from them, I only had my party (the itty-bitty guys) in my sig, so I guess it doesn't really affect me. -------------------- |

I didn't notice how much people abused the old party code thing until now....At least this new rule doesn't affect me too much other than the removal of my shinies from my sig....

Read and removed the spoiler tag with my shinies using the GPX codes.
It's saddening to see party images getting abused. I'm glad there's a limit now. This post has been edited by CM Punk: Aug 26 2010, 05:30 PM -------------------- |

Sad about losing my legend/novelty/shiny spoiler... I'll be very happy if some sort of compromise can be worked out over that. But for now, I'll fix up what I have.
