can you trade wirelessly with pokemon firered on the SP(with the adapter of course) with platinum, pearl, or diamond?

Unfortunately, no; you can't. The only way to trade from FR/LG to D/P/P is by gaining access to Pal Park on your D/P/P file, then migrating the pokémon from your FR/LG game. (Migrate becomes an option on the title screen of D/P/P if you have the FR/LG game in the advance game slot on your DS)
Note that you can only migrate 6 pokémon every 24 hours. Changing the time on the DS will make you wait a furthur 24 hours. |

The DSi does not have a GBA slot, so no, it won't work.

wow. here i was all "hooray i have a dsi!" this is not fair. the only consolation is that i could get pictures of my teachers and make them way fat.............. though i would rather be able to switch my pokemen around.

To be fair, other than the lack of a GBA slot, the DSi is the superior piece of technology. Just a shame that they had to omit such an major thing, especially considering how many games already have GBA-DS interaction.
