I have a task to adopt two Timburr from the Shelter (specifically adopt I can't hatch them), it's been two days now and I can't find any for the life of me. Is there anything I can do or am I at the mercy of other users?

Yeah, it's all up to other people to breed, hatch, and then release him.

Only 3 people are breeding Timbur right now, and some of those might not even be active... all I can say is just keep at it, and hopefully you'll see the two you need.
