When we have another WiFi tournament, would you participate?
After enough people vote and I have a rough idea of how many people will want to be in it, I'll start taking entries, post the rules and stuff too. -------------------- |

What are you intending the theme to be? Depending on that it's between a yes and a maybe.

Probably just a standard tournament, allowing everything OU and lower... why, did you have something specific in mind?
Also, maybe, do you think we should do this on DP WiFi, or Shoddy Battle? -------------------- |

I might join in. The medium used for battles doesn't matter to me, though.

In case you were wondering, my wifi works now, at least until it's fucked up again. And for the most part, I am a technopeasant, internet related things above all. FC: 0473 6684 5166 Name: ETHAN I claim , because it's KA. Read a book. It's good for you. Chris Crutcher, John Scalzi, Steven E. Ambrose, Isaac Asimov, Alastair Reynolds. Seriously people. Educate yourselves. And by the way, should you need a trainer sprite, go to EmpoleonDynamite, who made my awesome sprite. |

If we're allowed to use 70-75 leveled Pokemon, then sure. I dun like 100's. They're mean. ;-; Besides, you put up more of a fight with level 50 Pokemon and stuff. That'd be fun.

Well, with Shoddy, it's easier to make a team, and then it all comes down to skill/strategy, and takes patience and luck of getting good nature/ability/IVs out of the equation, not to mention it's easier to log and monitor for foul play. Personally, I'd prefer Shoddy, though if people would prefer WiFi, then that's fine with me too. EDIT: I redid the poll, added a second question. -------------------- |

I voted "maybe" and "Shoddy" since...if it's Shoddy, I'll participate. Depending on when the tournament is, I'll probably have too much work to do both on and off the forums to raise a team. Thus, the "maybe."

I am not exactly familiar with sshoddy battle, and seee no problemss with Wifi as long as people dont cheat, which i would asssume peoplee not to do as it would be said immediately on here.... I dont fully understandd the shoddy battle concept, but would prefer not to have to learn someething new. Pluss if shoddy battle means you can usse pokemon that you havent trained as if you had, which i think it does, then surely that defeats the point of playing pokemon and making your team through hard work etc.... I may well have misinterpreted a lot...
K I voted maybe, depending on when i need to participate, and wifi for the reasons stated above. -------------------- Battle rules I abide by:
No ubers, item clause(full), sleep clause, evasion/accuracy clause, species clause, no 1HKOs. i would prefer not to have any items that conflict with clauses, such as brightpowder. If quick claw is being used, i want to know, so i can use it as well, but prefer not to. double or single, just choose, and expect me to ask for a battle of the other afterwards. Always happy to rematch, rematch means same line-up. Another battle is also always good, and that means the line-up changes. sry for being so picky. Who's laughing now? PUNK! |

Well, the point of Shoddy Battle is that it's easier to monitor, and then, as you said, you don't have to train you team, take forever breeding for the right nature/IVs, and so on. It takes luck/patience out of the equation completely, and makes the game rely purely on your intelligence, strategy, and skill as a battler. -------------------- |

Shoddy hates me, so I picked WiFi.
And, of course, yes. -------------------- [align=center]I am the earth-mother, and you are all flops.

It takes luck/patience out of the equation completely, and makes the game rely purely on your intelligence, strategy, and skill as a battler. yes, i seee that it does that, kind of taking the team rocket view off pokemon, lol.... just get the best you possibly can, without the wwork, and character building side, but as it is a game, i spose that doesnt matter.... the easier to monitor i can agree with, but I imagine it would be pretty pointless for someone to cheat on a wifi game anyway, because the opponent would surely say that they had, and it would do them no favours, other than one win. It is sad that trust has left our world to thiss point, that even in a game we have to monitor each other... i still vote wifi, coz I like playing the game on the ds, and with the pokemon i have trained and named, at least some of them.... yes, skill as a battler, not as a trainer... i see the two as being intrinsically linked. Plus, how well does shoddy battle work on mac? thats a question based purely on my previous experiences of online pokemon battle simulators... K -------------------- Battle rules I abide by:

I chose maybe because I'm still EV training some of my pokes not to mention I don't even have some of them yet! I also chose wi-fi because I find battles more enjoyable on wi-fi plus my computer wont let me download shoddy battle.
