I'm looking for ideas for this one, because I don't want it to be exactly like the last one. Do you think there should be some sort of theme for it, different rules (ex. double battles over singles, for example) or anything like that, or should we stick to the standard, level 100 single battles? You mean mono type tourney? That's retarded because everyone will have water. If only one person can have water then they have a huge advantage. You can always come out with a UU tier list and base a tourney off of that. Or make it shoddy battle lol.
-------------------- I use Wi-fi but my pokemon are hacked, but have things within the field of legality in the game. I also have shoddy battle and I'm waiting for competitor.

Do UU ffs, it's the only other good format to do besides ubers which is impossible for wifi lol. No offense but some of these ideas are ridiculous and dont really promote variety. UU is a whole other ballgame

I've actually been waiting for a topic list. I forgot most of my ideas but I remember one speciifically:
1. All unevolved. This would be to test how good people are breeding to create the movesets with Egg Moves all at level one. Now, that means you couldn't evolve your Pokemon, no EVs, nothing. Just breeing for IVs and Egg Moves. I'm not sure if we'd need to bump everyone's level to 100 hundred. This is also where we'd need a neutral judge to get the Pokemon traded to them to check authenticity and such. Another, but I'm not sure about as I have yet to even try Wi-Fi battling (only trading as of now):
2. A doubles tournament. I hear that a lot of people despise double battles but I found them enjoyable. It would excerise the team's ability to work together and overcome strong techniques that damage both teams sometimes even leading to a whole reworking in one's moveset. When executed properly, this could be a ver enjoyable spin off the traditional formula. You can do double battles, but not with two people.
And also, with the no EVs stuff, it would be kinda hard to judge if someone has EVed or not. UU or BL and lower or something would be good, though. We'd just need a reliable tier list to use... has Smogon released one yet?

An unevolved tourney, level 1 tourney, and that kind of stuff perhaps? You're gonna wanna ban stuff like dragon rage/sonicboom for the level 1 tourney though; don't ban the "powerful" Pokemon you can potentially get at Level 1, because that's part of the fun(I guess).
Not that I'd take part, I just stop by occasionally nowadays(hence why I lagged a bit with the wifi tourney, which I apologize for). -------------------- |
