The origional

Let's bring this back in Unova this time. It's modern day, and the rival legends have been asleep for a while, so everything is mostly normal. Both Team Shadow and Team Plasma are still around, causing occasional conflicts with each other. Latias and Latios are seen around the region, but sightings of them are rare, and when they do show up, they cause trouble. The weather duo occasionally bothers Kyogre, which causes him to wake. Scientists fear that his rampages could set off Kyurem, and Zekrom.

With these dangers, are you brave enough to set off on a journey?

1. Follow forum rules.
2. Romance allowed, just don't go overboard.
3. Violence is allowed; just don't tell us the details. We don't need to know what every internal organ looks like.
4. Cursing is allowed; just keep it to a minimum, and no F-bomb.
5. Please put something colorful discretely in your sign up post.
6. Post here if you want to catch a Pokémon. The Pokemon catching form is at the bottom of the rules.
7. No catching legends unless it's Phione.
8. All Pokémon can know more than four moves. This is like the anime.
9. Password to catch Pokémon: Iron Head.
10. You can join one the two teams if you want. Just pointing that out.
11. Please be realistic with evolving the pokemon.
12. No Godmodding/whatever it's called.
13. You can have up to three characters, but it is generally recommended you have one.
14. There will only be double starters if someone that has gone MIA comes back.
15. Post the form below BEFORE you catch/receive the pokemon!

Wild Pokemon from other Regions

Oh, and about other region Pokemon. I was thinking about common Pokemon from a certain region appearing in the wilds during certain times of day, less common Pokemon appearing only on a certain day, while rare Pokemon from a region appearing only on a certain day at certain times. And Safari Zone supports the same setting as that.

In other words, we have decided that 'common' Pokemon from other regions* can be found as ultra-rare wild Pokemon in Unova. Then there's the Safari zone...

I think as long as we stay realistic, we can have Pokémon from other regions appear in the wild very rarely. And only the very common ones as well. Pokémon that are more rare through breeders or the safari zone.
Maybe we can install a breeding hotspot in one of the early cities? That would make it easier to get a few foreign Pokémon, but there should be a limit on how many we can have.

The aforementioned breeding hotspot city is Nacrene City. There, you may obtain ONE rare Pokemon egg. Medium-rare eggs are available in Cestelia. The limit is still being debated, but will likely be one to two eggs.

Safari Zone is still being debated, although 'common' and 'medium-rare' Pokemon may possibly be more abundant here.

Pokemon leveling, learning moves, and evolving

...Well, I guess once we actually start fighting, we'll have to do something like... um... [OOC thing]> ((Janey, +1 level, level 13; Ninja, +2 levels, level 20, learned [new move name], Evolved into [evolution's name])) This! Of course, this will only be in posts where something actually happens.

This must be in a post where something happens, as in a pokemon leveling up, learning a new move, evolving, etc. It must also be done by a lesser extent when teaching a TM/HM or a move tutor attack, such as: ((Janey, Super Fang, level 19)). No matter what, it will always have a pokemon's name/nickname and level.

The Shadow

Name: Shadow Hume
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Hometown: White forest
Bio: Shadow was named Shadow because of the way Pokemon follow him, they all "shadow" him ever since he was a baby playing with his mother's houndour. His first name was Eric but since his mother changed his name he has never known that, she sometimes called him Richard after how much he looked like his father. His favorite type of pokemon are dragon types.
Appearance: Shadow hasn't been around many people, but those he has have called him handsome. He stands about 6'4", and wears faded jeans with a plain white t-shirt. He also wears a black leather jacket, and keeps his pokeballs in the various pockets.

His face has recently healed from mysterious scars, and his eyes are a deep blue. His hear is jet-black and barely flows off of his head.
Personality:To be RPed
Transition: Shadow returned home after finishing his journey in Hoenn. He lived there for a year before the man that killed his father killed his mother and destroyed his powers. He wandered about the forest for another 6 months before deciding to travel around Unova in search of anything to help him remember.

Personality: Always thinks he is stronger than everyone else he loves to show off all he can do, he and Shadow regularly have arm wrestling competitions
Bio: Flex grew up in a Pokemon shelter because he had no parents, when he met Shadow and Shadow said he wanted to bring him home he was overjoyed and started piggy-back riding him. They often train together and chase each other around. He also has amnesia like Shadow, and cannot remember anything about their journey or Shadow's powers before.
Moves: Low kick, Leer

Gender: Female
Age: 15

Appearance: Emera isn't exactly the tallest girl around. She has dark brown hair that's often pulled up in a low pony tail, and left to dangle in the wind. She wears a green top and pale jeans. She has deep blue eyes from the contacts she wears now.

Transition: After working in her station for a year or so, they decided to expand their bases. Emera volunteered herself to scour out Unova, and left her normal area to a completely new one. She now is entering Unova for the first time, a new unknown area to her. Hopefully she can get the hang of it in time.

Personality: Dot is a bit sheepish at times, though she's good at making friends. She can get into trouble if you don't watch her for some time.
Bio: After uh... 'certain events' that Emera went through, she decided to go undercover again. She left Hoenn with a Pokemon, that being Dot, for the Unovan region, where she hopes to help her group thrive.
Moves: Splash, Bubble, Water Sport, Tail Whip.

Name: Violette Azuli
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Hometown: Verdanturf Town, Hoenn
Bio: She has lived peacefully in Verdanturf for her whole life. Then one day, her mother presents her with a ticket to Unova, asking her to do something for her there. So off she goes...
Appearance: She has teal eyes and black hair that goes down to just above her waist. She wears a periwinkle shirt with a white hooded sweater. Her coral pink skirt stops slightly above her knees. Her suede boots are brown. Her brown belt has pouches where she puts her Pokeballs and other supplies.
Personality: She's generally quiet, reserved, and shy. When she's excited about something, though, she becomes quite noisy and energetic. She has trouble talking to unfamiliar people, but she loves lending a helping hand if she reasonably can.

Personality: She's calm and collected, often giving Violette advice through telepathy. She may come off as aloof to others.
Bio: When Violette was seven, she received a Pokemon egg from a close family friend. It hatched to become her partner Ralts. Lon has stayed with Violette ever since.

Pkmn Lady Sarah

Name: Bandit Fleetspet
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Hometown: Sunnyshore City, Sinnoh
Bio: She grew up in a family (and city) good with electric-types. Naturally, she generally knows how to handle them. She also, however, is pretty good with dark-types as well. (Consequently, she is terribly composed around ground-types and fighting-types.) She has had a pretty average life. She made a slow journey around Sinnoh, taking time to meet many people and experience many things. She took a ship over to Unova, the rumors of danger there appealing to her. However, she decided to leave her old Pokemon behind in exchange for a small Shinx as a new starter.
Appearance: She has boy-length hair (and a low, relaxed voice), and consequently, is sometimes mistaken for a guy. She stands around 5' 10". She loves bandannas and sunglasses. She wears t-shirts often, and in colder weather, will simply throw on a jacket or hoodie. She usually wears long black skinny jeans (even in Summer).
Personality: Back in her own region, she is known by many and has friends in each city. However, she isn't going to Unova with the intent of making new friends. So, for the purpose of this RP, she is silent, even a bit condescending on the other trainers. She has a sort of "cooler-than-you" attitude. She is serious, and isn't really amused by the other trainers. Her desires lie in meeting and possibly event catching the legendary Pokemon of the region.

Nickname: Korry
Gender: Male
Personality: He kind of opposes Bandit's coolness with his hotheadedness. He totally wants to meet new friends, and battle, and get stronger. (Despite Bandit's experience, their hearts aren't exactly in-tune.)
Bio: He hatched from an egg raised by Bandit just recently. His parents are Pokemon belonging to relatives of Bandit.
Moves: Spark Charge Tackle Leer

Aura Dynasty

Name: Rei Miara (pronounced as Rai)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Hometown: Saphron City
Bio:
Rei is the daughter of a famous archeologist and the Karate king's right hand. of young age she was taught in martial arts and the secrets of archeology, soon discovering that she managed to remember anything she was taught perfectly. With a black belt in Karate and a fascination for pokémon legends and fossils she accompanied her mother on field trips and digsites, becoming known for her knowledge at such a young age.

One day, when inspecting the Chargestone cave, she encountered professor Juniper, who gladly took her under her wing. For two years rei studied under Junipers tutilage, until the day came she went back to Kanto for further studies. Now that Kyogre's acting strange Juniper has called upon Rei's knowledge about legends, not willing to see nother catastrophe happen.

Personality: Zhen is mostly calm and rather smart for such a young pokémon. He loves training and battling others, as does he likes watching fossils for some reason.
Bio: As an egg he was found by Rei when she was digging somewhere deep in relic castle. Because she was rather unfamiliar with pokémon-eggs she gifted it to her friend and mentor Professor Juniper, who would keep it for her until it hatched. Since Zhen hatched he has been sitting outside every day, waiting for someone.
Moves: Endure, Quick Attack, Foresight, Blaze Kick* (*egg move)
