I just learned that this existed recently (I haven't played pokemon in like a year or so) and am curious of a few things.

1. How safe is it? Is there a chance to mess up your game?
2. What is the best way to do it?
3. If your router has a password, how do you make the DS recognize it/place to put in password?

1. well The GTS one is pretty safe except for you need to ask for something ridiculous so that people wont actually trade for your pokemon while your trying to clone it. Im pretty sure it cant mess up your game. Worst case scenario is that you actually trade your poke.

2. Only ways i know of is through GTS and with an AR.

3. No idea

If you need something cloned i can do it extremly quickly and safely. Just trade me the pokes. PM if interested.

There is also a safe way to clone in Emerald. I can tell you how if you PM me.

1.the GTS glitch can be dangerous only to the extent that your pokemon could get traded off i believe.

2. matter of opinion, the AR way is much faster, but some people think its more legit to do it the GTS way. not sure if there are any other ways(other than the emerald one)


3. im not sure what you are talking about in this question, do you mean the WEP key?

Hmm what is the AR? I know what the GTS is...So its like making a trade but not actually doing it then?

I currently have Diamond and Fire Red, don't have emerald. Main game is Diamond though.

And I mean my router is setup with a password so no one can mooch internet from us. How do I setup my DS so it will accept that signal?

AR= Action replay= hacking device.

and you should be able to imput the WEP code for wifi when you set up the connection on your ds

Grr every time I try to type in my WEP for my router it says that setting is invalid. I wonder if DSes don't like N routers...

D/P Cloning Glitch
Emerald Cloning Glitch

Haven't had any problems with either, although the D/P one is very tricky becuase the timing depends how far away you are from the router, how strong your connection is etc. My only tip is to have a few practice runs. I haven't been able to clone with much success using this method. If your worried about losing your Pokemon, request Darkrai, Arcues or Shaymin as these can't be traded over GTS.

The Emerald ones a lot easier, and as you can see by the video your able to clone multiple Pokemon at once, which is handy.

Don't own a AR so have never tried that way.

Thanks guys, I just found out that my router is setup on WPA (I think?) instead of WEP so I can't get a WEP key unless they change the security on it, and since it is for 4 of us not just me I can't do that. I might have to sneak off to my boyfriends college to get free wifi to do it.

im pretty sure you can still use wifi even if its WPA( you can on the wii) and are you putting in an encrypted code or a password. because depending on what bit you choose(32-bit,64-bit,128-bit) it will be a randomized code of certain length. if its a code name(for instance something to remember easily set by a person) is probably not the one your looking for.

i dont know alot about WPA but you should try putting in whatever code it uses in the WEP.



and by the way the GTS way of cloning is very difficult so dont be stressed if you dont get it on the first try.

PS: two things: one, PM me if you need help with the GTS glitch cloning, and two, i can always action replay clone something for you if you want/ if your not doing well with the GTS thing lol(i HATE doing it that way lol)

My advice to you, if you are willing to spend some extra cash is to get an AR. You can get them at like best buy and what not, I got mine for 20$ a few years ago. And then recently got a new one (first one broke). Then you could get pokesav something like that. Its easier than trying to clone using the GTS
