Okay, so twice today I have tried to trade with a couple of other trainers. Both times, no matter what, whoever accepts the trade invite gets kicked off of WiFi.

My internet works fine, and seeing as how this happened with two different people, I'm assuming it's not their internet either.

Not to mention, I used the WiFi connection to trade Pokemon between my Pearl & Platinum cartridges and have had absolutely no problems (this was about 2-3 hours ago).

The first time I had issues trading with a trainer was this afternoon, and the second is right now.

Anyone have any ideas?

Actually, I figured it out. Nintendo's WiFi system only routes our signals through it's station long enough for us to connect, then we're on a peer-to-peer basis, meaning if you and I were trading, I would be connected directly to you.

This causes problems because our routers can reject signals that are unknown to it, because it's trying to protect us with our firewall.

My hubby had to make my DS basically a direct line to the internet, bypassing the firewall, basically, and now I can trade just fine.
