Secretly I'm hoping it's generation 6
 although a RSE remake would be nice too. Either way I'll be waiting until around lunch time on the 8th because school in the morning, so hopefully this info will be released by the time I get in

I saw this, too. I honestly think it's Gen 6, because on the anniversary of R/S/E, they made the legends available for download depending on which version of BW2 you had (Groudon for B2 and Kyogre for W2, and I think there was a special Rayquaza available around that time as well. Can't remember.). This was after Masuda mentioned on his Twitter that they'd be doing something special for the anniversary of R/S/E.
I'll be at work on the 8th, so I won't see the reveal until I get home. I can't access Serebii or Bulbapedia at work since they're blocked. -------------------- |

Well if it's generation 6 I hope it will be some interesting pokemon and not like they are running out of ideas. Some of the generation five pokemon could have been done better. I think I'd like remakes of r/s/e a lot better than generation 6.

I don't think it's for IV. It seems a little too soon in my opinion. I think it might be the R/S/E remake or maybe a new kind of series of games. Who knows, but I'm excited.

Well, time to mark this date on my calendar. I'm all sorts of hyped to see what this could possibly be.
My guess is it'll one of the following:
Gen VI seems the most likely, seeing as how quickly we went through Gen V's content. Movie and/or Anime appearance of every legendary for Gen V, which leaves not really anything left to cover. As much as an R/S/E remake would be nice (I'd love me some Gen III Secret Bases again <3), I don't think it'll be that. Given that Rayquaza, Kyogre AND Groudon, as well as the Regis and the Latis are all obtainable in a Gen V game, basically removing their chances of any remakes anytime soon. Pretty much any spin-off within the past couple of years has a slight chance, depending on the content and how they ended. Games such as PokePark and Conquest may not have a sequel, due to their plot lines, while Mystery Dungeon is pretty much up for grabs. However, MD already has a 3DS game in the making/released, so it most likely is not that. We could get Snap 2 for all we know! Or, it could be an all-new spin-off on its own. Who knows what it could possibly be. Maybe they'll try to make Pokemon Dash again, but try to make it better than how it was made the first time. Unlikely, but who really knows what they have planned. We'll just have to see what they say on the 8th. I'm hoping it's either a Pokemon MMORPG or a Pokemon Fighting Game, like Marvel vs Capcom, but with Pokemon. Or a Pokemon game that's like Xenogears.

Hoping for some gen 6 news. I'm ready for some new pokemon and shinies! It'll be disappointing if it has anything to do with ruby, sapphire, or emerald since that generation killed the fun of the games for me - it's also when I stopped watching the anime. (At least until gen 5 came out and i actually beat a pokemon game past the 2nd gen lol)

As I stated in the shinies thread on the site discussion part of the forum, There's a major chance of a new Eeveelution being announced in... 15 hours...
Think about it. The TCG's been doing a lot of Eevee promotions lately (the promo I got for attending Cities a couple weeks ago WAS an Eevee afterall. There has been so much Eevee hype AND this weeks episode in Japan involves the guy with the Eevees battling Ash if I remember correctly. I'm hoping that it's anything OTHER than RSE. As much as Emerald was tolerable, 3rd gen was the worst of all the generations not so much because of the pokemon, but how the game was displayed and set up.
