THE EVENT HAS NOW ENDED!
THE HUNT HAS NOW ENDED! Since everyone will be going back to school in two weeks, I figured now would be a better time than any to do this - the second site-wide shiny race! This time, your Pokemon you will be hunting will be Pichu. Signups will be from the time this thread is posted, until reset Tuesday night (August 24th). The hunt will then run for one full week and close at reset the following Tuesday (August 31st), and prizes will be handed out thereafter. For those of you who didn't participate last time, here's how it works. First of all, to be able to enter in the first place, you'll need to have both Egg Dex and Pokedex entries for Pichu, and you'll also need to have a Shine Recorder, with one of the slots for a regular hunt free. Once you have met all of these requirements, go to your Shine Recorder and sign up for the Pichu *COMPETITON* hunt which is located at the top of the list. Signing up for a regular Pichu hunt will not enter you in the competition. Signing up after signups have closed on Tuesday night will also not enter you in the competition. Once signups are closed, and the competition is started, you will have one full week to try to hatch a shiny Pichu. During this time, there will be extra Pichu spawned in the Lab, and breeding pairs with Pichu (or evolutions) will breed more frequently than usual. Breeding pairs with Pichu (or evolutions) will also only breed Pichu during this period of time. Note that only eggs obtained after signups have closed are eligible for the competition - this means that you are wasting your time adopting Pichu eggs before signups are closed and the competition has started. Also, taking Pichu eggs during the competition will not count against your daily Shelter grabs. There will be a special prize for all users who successfully complete their shiny Pichu hunt, regardless of how many eggs hatched or how long it took them, as well as consolation prizes for unsuccessful users based on how many eggs they've hatched. Everyone who completed it successfully has received a new item: a Blue Stone. What this item does is for you to discover, but there are some subtle hints and I'm sure some members will figure it out quickly and spread the word. A big hint, though: this has to do with Zerxer's birthday being last week (he was on vacation during it so nothing happened here). Everyone who didn't complete the hunt received a consolation prize. If you hatched more than 100 eggs, you've received an Enigma Stone. Everyone else has received a Nugget. -------------------- "Java is to JavaScript as ham is to hamster."    |

Pichu? Huzzah, I wanted another of those buggers...
