The only one I speak fluently is English. I can speak a few sentences in Latin, and maybe a short conversation in Spanish, but that's it.

Irish is my first language but I'm not completely fluent in it as I was brought up in an English-speaking household.
English is my second language and the language I'm most comfortable using. French will be my third language, I've been studying it since the age of 12. And Japanese, my fourth - I took it upon myself to learn it this summer. -------------------- |

My main language is English, but I'm trying to learn Japanese so I'm completely lost when I visit the country next year.
I can speak a few bits and pieces of Japanese... but not sentences. I can say random things like 'dog', 'octopus', 'tea', 'water', 'juice', 'delicious', 'Japan', 'cat', 'bus', and some other things. Hah... -------------------- |

Spanish
Hebrew I can get the gist of things written in some other languages due to knowing spanish. I'm not fluent in Hebrew but I'm not just beginning either. I actually study language/linguistics as a sort of hobby. This post has been edited by Nayz: Aug 21 2009, 04:24 PM -------------------- |

Finnish is my first language. Fluent, ofcourse.
Swedish should be the next in line but it aint, I've failed pretty much with it. I may understand bits of it if necessary... or then not. English goes otherwise well but I cant actually speak it very well. But then again, I have never actually had any need of speaking it out loud. My Japanese is slightly below passable, main problems being kanji and lack of active sentence exercises. Thai interestes me, but I have no possibility to begin with it at the moment. -------------------- |

I only speak English fluently but I can speak Japanese to a good degree, and after that I can speak Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Italian, German, French... and that's pretty much in order of fluency, I really don't speak much in those languages at all. I really wish I could be fluent in Spanish seeing as part of my family makes me latina. (u_u)
