So basically, today we're having the Father's day event, and that's great. But I just know this because I decided to randomly get interactions to finish up an exploration, and got lucky to see that I found one of the items you get from it in my header. It's only after that thing happening that a RANDOM post in the community thread told me what this was all about.
My point is : This event was INVISIBLE. I never would have guessed something like that would happen... So my suggestion is : Whenever an event like that occurs, I think everyone would be pleased if something was showing up in the notifications / updates thingy above your party. Just a little post somewhere on the forum to clarify the situation. I would have been kinda sad to miss the event because it's written NOWHERE (except in random posts in a community thread that not everyone checks regularly) TL;DR : Notify us when events happen plz Thank you for your consideration. IMHO, checking forums shouldn't be THAT really hard + the forum could use a bit more activity so announcing events on forum is fine. But again, that's just me.

Ok I just saw Zerxer's post about the event...... at the bottom of page 1 of the June topic. Okay. I don't feel like it's enough tho.

Zerxer made a post on both the Month of June and Community Thread. Though having something to notify that a post was made, like an exclamation mark next to the two threads on the header for example, would be nice.

Yeah announcing events on forum is fine, but why not make a post. In the middle of a thread, if you don't read that thread, you don't see it. There's nothing that tells you to check. I read the first posts of the community and june threads at the beginning of each month, I never think "I'll go read the thread" or "I'll go read that post again" if there's nothing to tell me I should. Zerxer made a post on both the Month of June and Community Thread. Though having something to notify that a post was made, like an exclamation mark next to the two threads on the header for example, would be nice. He made a post in the thread yes, not in the first post, you don't know you have to check the threads regularly to have information about events that you don't know are coming. So yeah a post about the event that shows in "latest updates" or "minor updates" would be good imo -------------------- GO GO POKEMON RANGERS I took over the group, come and join us ! - Banner by Doctor Octopus Affiliates : Azurite Knights - Malachite Mages - Shiny Lovers - The Networking Ninjas - The Postal Service - Banner by eevee64 Made by Cycloneblaze |

I also posted on our Facebook and Twitter. I recommend following one or both of them if you use those social networks at all, because I try to announce any special events there too.

... but... I mean... the one site that you know for sure every gpx user uses is not facebook or twitter... it's gpx.... I don't see a reason why an event isn't announced by its own post, it's not like there's an event every two days...
I'm sorry but I don't understand, it's not like I'm saying "you suck you SHOULD HAVE DONE that' it's just "in the future, why not make a post and make it visible when you see your party"? -------------------- GO GO POKEMON RANGERS I took over the group, come and join us ! - Banner by Doctor Octopus Affiliates : Azurite Knights - Malachite Mages - Shiny Lovers - The Networking Ninjas - The Postal Service - Banner by eevee64 Made by Cycloneblaze |

I did see this very early on, because I'm in Discord - also a good way to get these updates. But I did think there could have been a line added to the Month of June link on the site, something like, [Update: Father's Day]. I mean that's been done before, hasn't it? So much as I think people should be regularly reading the forums, I have to kinda agree here.

Yeah, I completely missed this because there was no notification anywhere. I'm not an active participant in the forums, and while I do have a Twitter and Facebook, I very rarely use them. I recall events like this having little updates in the header, so I don't get why this one didn't. I just now found out about this event because I'm seeing new Pokemon (like Type: Null) and wondering where they came from and how I can get the vouchers to get them. Turns out... I can't, because I missed the event. And it wasn't like I wasn't on on Sunday--I was, despite being busy. But I didn't do much because I had no idea an event was going on--mostly just made sure I'd completed the scavenger hunt task, which didn't require many interactions on my part due to the multiplier that day. I dunno, I just don't feel like we should have to search elsewhere for information on events that should be given at least a little blip in the header where we're most likely to check. It's been a long time that I've completely missed an event here, so I'm rather disappointed, especially because I've enjoyed getting the new Pokemon via vouchers first.
As for where I found out about the event? The GPX wiki, in my search for whatever voucher would give a Type: Null. Not here, where I feel it should've been, or at least made more prominent than it was. -------------------- Got no place to run, got no place to hide...
