I mainly look for good natures. IVs I really dont care about, but sometimes I will do a bit of EV "training" (as in cheat to max out IVs, but not go over the legal limit)
I dont battle other people so I have no shame in doing it :p |

EV's IV's everything. Competitive pokemon takes up about a quarter of my life right now.
In game has become too easy for me, so i've gotten into the habit of looking up challenges to make it more difficult. I have to be careful to stick to the rules though :/ and... YES I'M A NERD!!! I WILL RULE THE WORLD ALONG WITH MY BRETHREN! -------------------- |

I do casual play, but I did EV train before the Elite 4 in HG.

I do competitive battling, but only on simulators. I play casually on the games.

When i first go through the game, I don't worry about natures, EVs, etc. Once I beat it (and to keep me playing), I make mock competitive teams that I use for mainly the Battle Frontier/Subway, but I only worry about Natures and EVs (I don't worry about IVs really).

Hm, it seems like most people prefer casual or EVing without care of IVs...well, that's the way the game was intended to play in the first place XD

Everything I do is just for casual play. First, I'll beat the main storyline where I don't worry about EV's, but I usually try to get a decent nature. Then, I will sometimes do EV training, if I ever feel like it. Breeding for IV's is just tedious and not worth my time. I'll also breed for moves and such. But I never do competitive battling; it's just never interested me. The only thing I will do that is more of a competitive a nature is the battle subway. The higher up you go the more of a "competitive-type" team you need to beat those haxing AI's. XD

Only after everything. Like the E4 etc. I pretty much gave up on IVs. Gamefreak made iV breeding so tedious and I don't know why would ANYBODY bother with breeding it. It's pretty much twisted if you ask me. But yes, I do EV train and I do take note of my nature. Thats something I can actually control so...

I'm sort of a mix.
I do IV and EV train but only for special occasions like Wi-Fi tourneys. I mostly just play through the games multiple times using different Pokemon, trying them out, seeing what they can do. I do search for Natures and sometimes IVs, but I extremely rarely EV train them (I did only twice, with a Chansey and Snorunt with Max HP and Speed respectively) I do casual when I play through the game without trading stuff but I still reset for natures though. |

if i haven't beaten the game, i don't give a crap for the most part, the only exception is legendaries, those i IV check and nature check upon capture.
i've done a bit of IV breeding, it's not so bad... if you could check accourately the IV's at low levels , ev training is easy enough. that said, i'm totally hacking a pokemon for which i need a hidden power, hitting all IV's exactly, with a nature? no thanks i also made a hacked 31-all ditto, which makes it easier to iv breed. -------------------- |

For the most part, I play for fun. Only recently have I attempted to start ANYTHING competitive.

I EV train to the max.. And care a lot about IVs.. If the guy beside the PC in Battle Frontier says my Pokémon's stat is either "decent" or "above average" I immediately release them. It's for the best. More space for my new super bred Pokémon... But I do it because I like it, sadly. I feel like I'm wasting my time, if I train a Pokémon without good IVs. <-- You see the irony?
I also care quite a lot about Natures. If the Pokémon doesn't have the desired nature but good IVs, either "trade" or "release". Though, with Nuzlockes nothing matters. So, that's mainly the only time I'll just do whatever and screw the EV-training and nature. I prefer to battle online with strangers on Battle Revolution. It's so much more fun than on the DS! -------------------- |
