I prefer although Staraptor would probably win with intimidate and close combat.

Swellow is faster and if it hold flame orb will become more strong (250 attack---250 att+fire orb = 375 att)
fist use protect than use facade but if the staraptor has focus sash it will win -------------------- |

I prefer Staraptor. I've got one in my in game team at the moment, (just for fly).
Also, shouldn't there be a poll to go with this? -------------------- |

I like swellow, it's... cool
But they're both pretty much the same, in terms of battling. Waiting for someone to prove me wrong. -------------------- |

staraptor is better in battle,
it has better overall stats, and its more likely 2 suvive in the long term where as swellow would most likely go down in 1 hit... plus staraptor has close combat which is useful if u ask me hmm swellow is also gd though, mostly cause of its speed and only with facade, a burn + guts, still my choice would be staraptor... staraptor -------------------- |

Staraptor out paces Swellow in terms of speed. As for attack, even though it lacks guts, Intimidiate helps protect the bird from fatal attacks, since it boasts poor def and sp. def stats. So I'm siding with the Sinnoh birdie on this one.

I would choose Staraptor over Swellow, even though I like them both. I use a Staraptor in my Pearl team and has great use for me. I have used a Swellow before too.

Staraptor is better, because he's cooler.
Really, I have nothing more behind that statement than what's there. |

Pidgeot did i get it right? I like Swellow better. I choose between looks first, then stats. (Regions also come into play with me...) Lol, that was what I was hoping to hear Pidgeot FTW Also, Noctowl is pretty good for a bird-type. It has the ability to learn Psychic type moves [and Shadow Ball, for that matter], which could free up a slot in your team. He's a bit slower than Staraptor, and his ATK and DEF are lower, but he really doesn't use them with a Psychic movelist [Fly would relly on ATK, however] and a weakness to mainly Special type attacks [Electric, Ice]. Also, Noctowl's HP, SpATK, and SpDEF are well above both Staraptor and Swellow. Plus, he looks kinda like and old man... -------------------- |

if i can i would like to put aerodactyl in the mix of this or even skarmory or even gligar.is the best. hes part groung so someone has to have an ice type move or a water move to beat him. so im choosing gligar. but out of Staraptor VS. swellow. i choose Staraptor because of brave bird. thats a cool move and a n effective one as well.

Staraptor is much stronger and has much more balanced stats. While Swellow is faster at 120 base speed, Staraptor has 35 more base attack, and far better defenses. Also, Staraptor can damage rock and steel types, something Facade Swellow can barely hope of doing, with Close Combat. As such, Staraptor is better.

Okay but in a fight one against other staraptor only win if it is holding focus sash or either focus band...
I keep my opinion about swellow...he is better... -------------------- |
